Part 6 of the series that should leave no one, no one, falling for CAIR's line that they're a moderate civil rights organization. "CAIR Portrays 'War on Terrorism' as Malicious 'War on Islam,'" by Steven Emerson for IPT News:
(Note: To read today's full installment, click here: http://www.investigativeproject.org/documents/misc/117.pdf)"The new perception is that the United States has entered a war with Islam itself," CAIR Chairman Parvez Ahmed declared at Washington's National Press Club in July 2007.
But, in fact, CAIR officials and spokesmen have been peddling that same "new perception" ever since the 9/11 attacks in 2001. They have portrayed virtually every intervening prosecution of an alleged terrorist who is Muslim and every investigation of an alleged terrorist front group as an insidious attack on their religion.
Today's sixth installment in IPT's detailed analysis of the self-proclaimed civil rights group focuses on its protestations that the war on terrorism amounts to a war on Islam.
· CAIR and other Muslim groups issued a joint statement after the U.S. government froze the assets of the Texas-based Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF) in December 2001, warning that the action "could create the impression that there has been a shift from a war on terrorism to an attack on Islam." A CAIR press release issued the same month warned of "a drumbeat of anti-Muslim rhetoric from those who are taking advantage of the 9-11 tragedy to carry out their agenda of silencing our community and its leadership."
· When authorities arrested CAIR-Texas founding board member Ghassan Elashi and others charged with illegally sending computer equipment to Libya and Syria and engaging in financial transactions with a Specially Designated Terrorist, a CAIR-Dallas press release expressed concern that "these charges result from what appears to be a ‘war on Islam and Muslims' rather than a ‘war on terror.'" The group worried, "We, as American Muslims are facing an uphill battle in defending our own government's foreign policy, as well as the, so-called, war on terrorism, while being targeted by our own law enforcement agencies."
· Responding in June 2002 to a Department of Justice initiative to weed out suspected terrorists, CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad asked, "What is next? Forcing American Muslims to wear a star and crescent as a means of identification for law enforcement authorities?"
· In a February 2003 press release, Awad complained of alleged religious and ethnic profiling by the FBI; that same month he remarked in an IslamOnline.net live dialogue, "Now we see extremists, including the Christian Right and the pro-Israel lobby, carrying out a coordinated campaign against Islam and Muslims. The result of this is clearly apparent from the racist policies and practices being carried out by some branches of the U.S. government influenced by these groups."...
Read it all.
The worst aspect of this is that in response, government and law enforcement officials have done everything they could to avoid giving the impression that they're engaged in a war against Islam -- even to the point of ignoring or downplaying the ideology of the jihadists, even when that ideology could be revelatory of what the jihadists might be doing, or how they might be doing it.
What does a saudi-funded, terrorrist-enabling, jihad-minded organization has to do and say in order to be considered a threat for national security?
Those saudi-funded islamic terrorrists, walking around with kaffir suits and kaffir ties use the "anti-islam" nonsence bkz they know the left winged media will follow up (See "Islamane" Ammanpour).
If the USA had been involved in a war with, say, Japan, and there was a "civil rights groups" in the USA, funded, aided, suported by the Japanese government, what would the USA do?
Islamo-nazis use the religion card bkz they know that religion is a hot topic in the USA.
From Article: that the action "could create the impression that there has been a shift from a war on terrorism to an attack on Islam."
If only that were the case. Most of the wests
political types and Islamic apologists, have stood on their heads, turned inside out, and groveled, to prevent just such an impression. What they have actually created is a dhimmi box that they can't get out of. The people can get out of it, but first they need to get the dhimmi's out of office, and hire someone with guts, and a kuffir boxcutter.
The dhimmi box is only made of thin cardboard...
Well CAIR why don't you talk about something very different then. You sound like a stuck record. You see your own words, actions or inactions form the public and government opinion, so if you come out actively and forcefully against terror, jihad and supremacism you could become credible in the eyes of many. As a matter of fact how about adopting publically and following Robert's list of 5 things you could do and you could become credible in the eyes of all.
Islam = Terror.
So in a sense they are correct.
I wish our 'leaders' had the gonads to call this war what it should be, the War on islam!
But political correctness, multiculturalism, and muslim whining won't allow it to happen. And while they don't/won't define our enemies they are allowed into our lands and carry on their jihad with all forms of tactics other than terror and fear.
"They have portrayed virtually every intervening prosecution of an alleged terrorist who is Muslim and every investigation of an alleged terrorist front group as an insidious attack on their religion."
From the post
It's not an attack on Islam, but a faint-hearted attempt at defense against Islam. But to Muslims, that distinction is impossible to acknowledge.
Goes to show that Islam is the ROOT, terrorism, oppression are the FRUITS.
BTW - the term Islamo-Nazi is used a lot. It seems the we have iPhones, iPods, iTunes, etc. It's about time to coin the term iNazi. If you know what I mean..
The mentality of Muslims is like their founder the psychotic, and retarded Mohammad. I mean look at the track record of Mohammedans they are personifying the demented Mohamed with the stupid and delusion view of the world. Everything is the opposite to Mohammedans peace is constant violence. Logical in rationally minded free people is 1 + 1 = 2. Logic to Mohammedans is convoluted like a psychopath just like their leader. Reality is distorted and unfortunately our western leaders are catching this virus. Excuse me but I want to puke!
Following the sunnah of the profit Muhammad lands imam in the slammer (along with 7 others who committed perjury on his behalf)

Now there's a good idea! Get these jolly-jumpers to wear a star and crescent to make them more recognizable.
Savsiv - to a Muslim, 1+1 = 2 only if Allah wills it. For you to say unequivocally that 1+1=2 is to deny Allah's ability to make it equal to something else, and who are you to tell Allah what to do??? That is no joke!! This is why Muslims don't do science or question anything, because no matter the question the answer is always "Things are always per the will of Allah. 1+1=2 Allah willing." True story.
Inevitably the War on Terror is a war on Islam, simply because Islam is in the business of inspiring terror.
CAIR is correct. The war on terror is a war on Islam. Since most Muslims are doing little to name and oppose the widespread terrorism they too are complicit in their silence.
The only beef I have with the war on Islamic terror is that GW Bush should be fighting a Cold war and not a hot war. We must name for Muslims the truth that they can not bear: Islam is toxic and does not live up to its promises of peace. It leaves only frustration, blood and sand in its wake.
Islam is terrorism. Therefore it follows that any war defending people against Islamic acts of terrorism IS a war against Islam.
And it follows that any such war against Islam is a just, good war against Islam. (Any and all wars against Islam are automatically just and good). Especially if they contribute towards Islam's DEMISE.
Islamic Science:
The level of opposition voiced by CAIR is directly proportional to the goodness of the idea.
Parvez Ahmed, obviously needs to sit down with me and my neighbors. He ain't heard nothin' yet. The Feds are nice guys compared to some of the people I know.
We could take Ahmed on a hike up ole Rocky Top and look for that moonshine still that the two lost strangers never found.
