Indonesian government bans Fitna

But what have they done to counter the use of the Qur'an to justify violence? Exactly zero.

"Indonesia: Government bans anti-Koran film," from AKI (thanks to all who sent this in):

Jakarta, 1 April (AKI) - Indonesia has banned the controversial anti-Koran film by the Dutch right-wing MP, Geert Wilders.

The Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono called for calm in the mainly Muslim nation on Tuesday and said that Wilders would also be barred from entering the country.

I'm sure his vacation plans are now ruined.

"anti-Koran"

I keep reading that, but everything in the short film as well as all the other crap vids we get to view on the internet with heads being cut off, bodies burned, hangings etc etc seems to be pro-Koran to me.

I really just have to laugh these people are so pitiful.

The mentality of Muslims is like their founder the psychotic, and retarded Mohammad. I mean look at the track record of Mohammedans they are personifying the demented Mohamed with the stupid and delusion view of the world. Everything is the opposite to Mohammedans peace is constant violence. Logical in rationally minded free people is 1 + 1 = 2. Logic to Mohammedans is convoluted like a psychopath just like their leader. Reality is distorted and unfortunately our western leaders are catching this virus. Excuse me but I want to puke!

I have one question. Have oher Muslim nations followed the Indonesian goverment's lead? If so, I would not be a bit surprised. However, I would still like to know what other Muslim nations if any have banned this film.

Aew we surprised with indoenesia, didnt they just make it illegal for christians to say allah.

Muslim Indonesia, a bastion of peace, democracy, freedom and good governance..., the only thing we can learn from them is how to blow up tourists, destroy paradise (Bali) and how to chop the heads of school girls, or how to execute or not based on religion, Christians execute, Muslims blowing up Western Tourists, no way!!

For them to ban this film matters not, its not aimed at them, they are trying to make themselves look important and moderate.

"But what have they done to counter the use of the Qur'an to justify violence? Exactly zero."

But that would mean that the big, brave jihadists would have to stop beheading school girls. The government would have to set up laws for that to be against the law - and that would be against sharia law. We don't want to have to bother the psychopathic murderers for islam, now do we?! Like Abu Sayeff (a Philippino muslim known for his terrorist activities) said - islam is the only religion that would get him to heaven.

Some heaven - to be in there with that kind of ilk.

ISSUES & SOLUTIONS

QUESTION: What are issues and recommendations for solutions that are unique to Muslim Americans?

1. A Law against harrassment of a Muslim women wearing Hijab at the Airport, DMV and other public arenas.

2. Institute a Law to allow Muslim Employees to take a hours off from work for Friday Jummah Prayer.

3. Make the 2 Eid's, recognized National Holidays on Calendars with days off from work.

4. Optional Halal meals in federal buildiings, public schools and colleges.

5. Provide prayer areas suitable for Salah and Jummah, in public and private facilities. (i.e. Malls, Airports, Universities and government buildings.)

6. Organize a Muslim American group to assist in recommendations for US foreign policy affecting majority Muslim countries.

Can you feel the Sharia?

Oh sweeeeet!

Ban FITNA - awww, diddums!

How are they going to do this?

Remove all of Indonesia from the internet?

You gotta love those guys: perfect example of not having arrived in the 21st century.

I bet Indonesian students will now do their utmost to get FITNA downloaded - is the Indonesian government going to confiscate all PCs in the country as well?

Only thing is, how can they now seethe properly if they can't see what they have to seethe about?

Oh - sorry - they can seethe, can't they: they don't have to know why they seethe, as long as an imam tells them they'll seethe all right ...

Poor Wilders. All is not lost. I can still go. Visions of having high tea, cucumber sandwhiches and civilised discourse about free speech with Abu Bakar Bashir while he has an fitna frothing out something like..."Crawling animal! worm! maggot! snake! Infidel!...I should beat you now." I mean they don't ban everything these days.

Hey Geert,

There's a lovely little place in the USA called California. If Indonesia won't allow you in, come to Laguna Beach, rent a car and drive up the coast highway as far as your little heart will take you. You'll see Pacific beauty, eat great seafood, meet fun people who don't like Islam and no one will bother you.

Just stay away from Lodi if you continue up north. Apparently the (non)natives are restless there.

Welcome, welcome!

Can you feel the Sharia?

Yeah, and I feel Sick, too.

HOW has this happened after 9/11? HOW?

Ausinfidel

"While he has a fitna"

That is AWESOME!!

I will have to remember that one.

Kudos, amigo!

Here's a situation brewing. I don't know anything about this country, Mayotte, but the leader involved has the name Mohamed. Riots going on.

http://galliawatch.blogspot.com/2008/03/racial-violence-in-mayotte.html

seeing how Mr. Wilders film is already all over the Internet it will be interesting to see how the Indonesian authorities try to control the Internet in their country because you don't even need a computer these days a web enabled cell phone will allow you to go on the net I tried it the other day with my cellular phone and had no problem accessingthis website and the link to the film which I watched at work on my cell phone Islam is still in the seventh centurym in a way I'm not a bee would not be surprised to have the Muslims tried to declare that the Internet is witchcraft because the Mohammed would consider this to be magic

That is correct about the Indonesian government blocking the movie. My sis saw it yesterday prior it to being blocked, but not too long ago she tried to see it on Jihadwatch's website, and on Youtube, but couldn't do it.

No problem though. I've downloaded it and emailed it to her and now she has seen it. She's going to forward it to her friends of course.

Hey BurgerBoy -

Thanks for that link. I just forwarded it to a friend (who's thinking about voting for the big O) and when the automatic spell check ran on my email it insisted that muslim must be capitalized. I politely refused.
Sheesh...

Just saw it on Kompas. link below,

http://www.kompas.com/read.php?cnt=.xml.2008.04.01.15021259&channel=1&mn=1&idx=1

that the Indonesian information and communications minister had sent a letter to Youtube giving them 2 days to take down Fitna from their site. They said there was a precedent for this and it mentioned the movie about the King of Thailand. If Youtube didn't take down the movie, then the government is going to block the site.

Ah ,,,,, the audacity!! Just because that's the way they've been treating their non Muslim citizens, they think they can threaten Youtube as well. But ..., I wouldn't be surprised if youtube gave in to their demand.

They Indo government must know, or at least could guess that youtube is going to do their bidding, otherwise they (the Indo government) wouldn't be so outright in their demand but use a different language to show they are a beningn lot, like what they've done to Christians in Indonesia, who were forced to sign an 'agreement'.

It always opens with something like this:

In the interest of harmony between the people, we have agreed to close down this church/not hold prayer worship anymore, etc. etc.

No big surprise here: Indonesia is not a sovereign, democratic nation-state but an Islamic dictatorship disguised to resemble one that is controlled by powerful Middle Eastern mosques through various "Indonesian" institutions like the Indonesian Armed Forces and the "Indonesian" "Parliament" which are usually based in Jakarta.

If you have not down load yet

If you are living in Indonesia it may be a bit slow

Sorry I made a goof

The link above goes to the Walisongo Massacre

What would be great is to put Fitna on your blogs and put such titles as "Sexy Indo Girls","Hot Jakarta Chicks" etc etc.As I have noticed on my blog it is the girls that the moslems come looking for

Now for something serious

Indonesia's parliament last week passed a new information bill that criminalises the transmission of pornographic material on the web.

The ministry said the law was a response to concerns in society about the negative impact of pornographic and violent sites as more Indonesians gain access to the Internet.

Under the law, anyone found guilty of transmitting pornographic material, false news or racial and religious hate messages on the Internet could face up to six years in prison or a fine of 1 billion rupiah ($135,000).

At a secret meeting of Muslim political leaders and religious authorities in Cairo, including high representatives from the Indonesian and Pakistani governments, key officials of the Organization of Islamic States, and imams from Al Anzar University, new resolutions have emerged concerning how Muslims and Muslim organizations should react to the movie Fitna.

It has been resolved that Muslim organizations states should cease all efforts to censor the film as well as economic pressure and threats aimed at deterring media with similar content from being produced. The statement calls on Indonesian government to immediately rescind its ban of Fitna. The disturbing images of violence and rage depicted in the film, as well as the passages from the Qur'an, it has been acknowledged, have an uncomfortable basis in fact, and it has been resolved by all parties to this meeting that Muslim organization and states must take the lead in a critical review of Muslim values, practices, traditions, including scriptural traditions. It has been resolved that the film should be viewed by all Muslims in the hope that Muslims around the world will reflect on the horrifying statements and behavior of coreligionists. It has been resolved Muslims should try to comprehend the fear caused to non-Muslims by Muslim violence and other Muslim beliefs and practices, like teachings on women and gays in the Fourth Sura of the Qur'an and supporting ahadith, teachings on apostates, teachings on blaspheme, teachings on the superiority and inevitable conquest of Islam as a religion and political and social system, teachings on the moral and social inferiority of non-Muslims, and teachings from Sura 9 concerning the place of non-Muslims relative to Muslims and Muslim societies,

Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradhawi, who has been praised by a world-renowned scholar of Islam, John Esposito, as a true moderate voice, perhaps said it best,

"Islam as a religion and belief system cannot go on as it is. There are systemic issues with the way we view our traditions and our sacred scripture. We must reflect openly and critical on our beliefs and work together for a new beginning."

In his address Sheikh Al-Qaradhawi reached out to leaders of other religions in a spirit of equality and compassion.

"We will renounce Muslims claims to hegemony over religious and social life and encourage the free expression of one's conscience and critical thought. And we will embrace adherents of other religions in a spirit of equality and respect. Christian churches, Hindu and Buddhist temples will be welcome in Muslim lands, and non-Muslims will walk amongst us in dignity free to express their beliefs and practice their traditions as equals."

The closing ceremony including some touching parting remarks from the Ayatollah Sistani in Iraq, who lamented his characterization of Infidels as "dirty" and "unclean" and his endorsement of the doctrine that unrepentant homosexuals should be executed, and called on Shia Muslims and Muslims everywhere to reject all such beliefs and to embrace a universal compassion reminiscent of Jesus or the Buddha.

"The violence and oppression in our midst does not come from nothing," the august Ayatollah proclaimed. "The persecution of Christians and homosexuals in our midst, and the massacres of Shia and Sunni have some foundations in a triumphalist value system, the destiny of those obedient to Allah to rule, the acceptability of the violence to impose one's own rigid conceptions of justice on others by appeal to immutable divine commands and the holy example."

In a tearful confession the Ayatollah lowered his head and admitted,

"Muslim leaders, Shia and Sunni, must accept responsibility for our failures, take the hands of our constituents and do our best to lead them to the light, to empathy with those who do not share their beliefs, their traditions and history, and to reflection on our claims to moral and social superiority".

memo to JTF:

More than once John Esposito has publicly denied the existence Islam's violent component of jihad against "unbelievers" while downplaying Islam's historically-documented and unparalleled proclivity towards armed warfare and first-degree murder.

Yet there is no doubt that Islam-inspired jihad warfare against "unbelievers" exists; hundreds of millions of innocent human beings around the world have lost their lives to it over the centuries for no good reason at all (except for, as Mr. Wilders has courageously shown in his documentary) that the Quran teaches armed warfare against "unbelievers" through its verse as in Surah 9.5. Anyone who is aware of Islamic "honor killings" having been committed in their community is aware that Islam clearly teaches and espouses first-degree murder.

Mr. Esposito has made millions for himself by whitewashing these violent components of Islam (he is known to be the recipient of large payments from Middle Eastern governments while adopting a misleadingly non-violent, pro-Islamic position in his "teachings" about Islam).

In light if this, Mr. Esposito can be rightly viewed as a willing accessory to jihad warfare, first degree murder, and mass murderers who kill in the name of al-lah.

There are no reports that professor Esposito attended this meeting, but the announcements and resolutions coming out of Cairo have already sent shockwaves through the academic community in the United States and reactions from Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown are expected within days. On a Harvard blog an anonymous student wrote that he had already overheard that professor Diana Eck will be organizing a symposium of the Pluralism Project at Harvard to discuss the ramifications of recent events. The symposium is to be entitled, The Cairo Confession.

Whereas I assume Fitna was not designed solely to the muslim world as it's target audience,
The film seemed to be more geared towards Europeans and warning them on how to protect their society,
Henceforth, should anyone care if Indonesia bans the film?

Does it matter? Is it relevant? That's like if the Nazi's banned the Three Stooges, Charlie Chaplin or any other movie makers who parodied the Nazi's. Ditto for Russia or ANYONE else.
Did Gert try to distribute it in Indonesia or Hamasitan, or mostly for Europe or us??

Good one - happy April Fool's Day. Although this almost falls in the realm of 'Stuff you just can't make up'

BurgerBoy:

Senator Obama isn't merely "bad news" he is quite possibly the anti-Christ.

Beware, everybody. Take cover!

I agree.

If any American can rally the Moslema, Obama the racist can, and he gives his idiots that warm fussy feeling.
