JERUSALEM – The terrorist cell that planned to poison an Israeli restaurant this month was led by jihadists who were recently granted amnesty by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, WND has learned.
The pardoned terrorists,were directly involved in orchestrating the foiled attack, according to defense sources. They were granted amnesty in October as a stated Israeli gesture to help bolster Palestinian Authority President and Fatah Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
The terrorists were given amnesty on condition they disarm, refrain from attacks and spend three months in PA detention facilities and another three months confined to Nablus, the northern West Bank city in which they reside.
Last week, it was released for publication Israel's Shin Bet Security Services arrested two Palestinians from Nablus who worked illegally at the Grill Express, a restaurant in the city of Ramat Gan, which is a sattelite city of Tel Aviv.
Upon interrogation, the two, Aham Rial and Anas Salum, both 21 years old, confessed they were planning to poison the restaurant food with a white, odorless, tasteless deadly poison they said takes effect about five hours after it is ingested.
The Palestinians said they were to receive the poison from the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades leadership in Nablus. They said they were also asked by the Brigades leadership to find ways to help infiltrate suicide bombers into Israel.
Security officials warned the Brigades leadership in Nablus is still seeking to use Palestinians working illegally inside Israel to perpetuate terrorist attacks. There are tens of thousands of illegal Palestinian workers inside Israel.
According to Israeli defense officials, there is specific information the foiled poison plot was planned by three terrorists from Nablus, two of whom are on Olmert's amnesty list, which restricted the Israel Defense Forces from acting against them.
Nablus is the main stronghold of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, Fatah's military wing, which is listed by the State Department as a terrorist group. The Brigades took responsibility, along with the Islamic Jihad terror organization, for every suicide bombing in Israel in 2005 and 2006 and for thousands of shootings and rocket attacks.
Among the pardoned Brigades leaders involved in the foiled poisoning is Hani Caabe, a senior Brigades leader in the Old City of Nablus. The name of the other pardoned terrorist is being withheld by WND for security purposes at the request of defense officials.
In June, Olmert granted amnesty to 178 Fatah fugitives who pledged their resignation from any so-called paramilitary organizations. In spite of the amnesty deal, many Brigades members openly brandished weapons and were caught carrying out scores of attacks.
Nevertheless, in October Olmert issued amnesty documents to 43 more Fatah terrorists, who were also required to turn in their weapons, spend three months in a PA holding area and restrict their movements for another three months to one city.
Most of the 43 terrorists have yet to keep their side of the deal, defense officials said.

don't forget that most of the prisoners released form GITMO quickly returned to terrorist activity. Terrorists rarely release their captives (of course , terrorist captives tend to not live long). It sometimes amazes me that our own citizens claim the Gitmo prisoners were just farmers caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. Europe is not the only place infected with stupid people.
They should implant a small vile if pigs grease in every prisoner they release, so if they have any thoughts of suicide bombing or getting into a fire-fight with Israel police or soldiers, they'll think twice. They don't have to be told where the implant is, only that it's there. I suspect you'll have a batch of new model citizens. who,ll want nothing more than die a natural death.
Stories such as these and of others about the new crimes of released murderers underline why Israel and most of Europe needs a death penalty.

The thing that strikes me about this story? - Mr Spencer, Marisol or Mr Fitzgerald might know just how many times the 'Palestinians', and Arab Muslims generally, have accused the Jews of 'poison' plots. I know that in Jacques Ellul's 'Un Chretien pour Israel' he discusses one particular episode in which conspiracy theories and accusations of poisoning reached baroque levels of bizarrerie - all of it, of course, on no foundation whatever. Wasn't there a 'Palestinian' Muslim myth that Jews were handing out poisoned chewing gum, or something?
There is, of course, also, the traditional Muslim story - quite likely fabricated, in the first place, in order to provide a handy pretext for future 'revenge' attacks on Jews - that Mohammed ha-Meshugga was 'poisoned' by a Jewish woman.
So in their psychopathic view of the world, given the principle that the Muslim Arab enemies of Israel regularly 'project' onto the Jews whatever it is that they themselves are planning to do, these two would-be kitchen assassins probably thought they were 1. 'avenging' Mohammed and/ or 2. getting in a revenge attack on Jews for other (purely imaginary) Jewish 'poisonings' of Muslims OR 3. a pre-emptive strike to avenge any FUTURE such feared poisoning of Muslims.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if they had been planning to poison not just any food on any day, but the Passover seder.

This story, I'm afraid, REALLY puts one off the idea of employing Muslims ANYWHERE in the west, at ANY point where they might have the opportunity of tampering with ANYTHING that non-Muslims are going to eat or drink. It puts one right off eating at ANY Muslim-owned restaurant, ever.
For the sake of public safety in all the Infidel countries, not just Israel, we might well end up having to keep Muslims right out of our food chain - at every point from the field to the table. I just can't see anything else for it. Because as we all know: we can't tell the difference just by looking, between a 'peaceful' nominal Muslim who wouldn't harm a fly, and one that is PRETENDING to be harmless but harbours murder in their heart, let alone the one that IS harmless when you hire him/ her but will 'get religion' a year, two years, even ten years 'down the track' and then get horrible ideas involving poisons or bacteria.

I recall there was a Muslim in the UK who was caught talking about killing Infidels with 'mice poison'. (Don't have time right now to track down the precise reference, but I read it right here on Jihadwatch, in black and white).
If there are many more stories like this, I foresee that a LOT of Infidels, in Israel and everywhere else, will be getting into 1. home gardening 2. home preserving 3. home baking 4. backyard chicken yards 5. community supported agriculture (where you, the customer, hook up with a specific farmer who undertakes to supply you from his fields). Because...how else can you be sure that a would-be assassin hasn't had their mitts in your food?

Excelent point about the food. I've often wondered how many Muslim pilots are flying commercial airliners. Most might be doing a job, just like any other pilot, but all it takes is one with a martyr complex to kill 300-400 people.
Given the history of Muslim terrorism, I don't think it's unreasonable for airlines to refuse to hire Muslims as pilots.
And if some stupid judge says they can't discriminate on the basis of religion, the flying public should start demanding that airlines start devulging the religion of their pilots, so they can make their own decision about boarding a plane.

Prime Minister Olmert is weak and corrupt but doesn't this POTUS and his Secretary of State request, even pressure Israel to free these bloody jihadists as "confidence-building measures?"
I often wonder what Israeli security agents who risk their lives daily to catch these terrorist think of all this.
These guys go undercover and do quick snatches in the most dangerous situations at great personal risk. All the hard work (and financial costs) it takes to gather intellegence and then put it into action must be enormous.

Maybe Olmert doesn't realize that they won't "observe" the conditions of their release.
The Israeli Defense Force needs to begin "keeping" the perps in jail, rather than letting them go just because "Olmert said so".
To me, if they keeping letting the perps out of jail, Israel will end up suffering a terrorist attack that would only be blamed on Olmert's orders of letting them out.
And, maybe Israel should have a coup to take over the government, if the government can't or won't protect its people.
