A British teenager was being questioned today over a suspected terrorist bomb plot.The 19-year-old — believed to be a Muslim convert — was being quizzed about a “significant” amount of alleged bombmaking materials found in his home.
Early this morning bomb squad officers used a robot to carry out a controlled explosion at the property in a quiet cul-de-sac in a Bristol suburb.
More than 30 people were evacuated before the blast this morning. Neighbours said the explosion sounded like a plane crash and “lit up the night sky”....
The street was absolutely covered in police. “I always thought he was a normal student.” Locals said the suspect had moved into the house about two months ago.
Most described him as polite and one said he was often seen wearing traditional Muslim dress and carrying a satchel.
Rachel Clifford, 32, and Douglas Tierney, 36, who were evacuated during the operation, told how they had banged on walls and knocked on his door because of “loud Asian music” and “chanting”.
Mr Tierney said: “The music was getting so loud I just kept banging on the door. It was very frustrating because I was getting no response. There was also chanting and we were worried it was going to carry on all night. When we eventually went round there [was the sound of] about 12 bolts being undone.”...

Now what do they do? What does he get convicted of? The police blew up the house to prevent him from defending himself. They destroyed the evidence of his peaceful intentions. He was just working on a new energy source. All charges dropped.

Im sure I read about this in the now banned Al Queda training manual that was found in a Birmingham safehouse. Non muslim communities would be picked as ideal locations for planning and arming the Jihadi's because they were not being monitored by security services in the same way as Mosques are being surveyed.
In regards to the way the Al-Queda manual has been made illegal to view in this country for "fear" of radicalising other muslims. I think the BBC should do this country a service and show us exactly how the enemy intends to opperate in our cities and suburbs. Reading through this post and the one linked to FrontPageMag the reoccurring statement was "he was such a friendly nice boy".
It is very disarming when you are confronted with friendliness. This must be one of the first things that they are instructed on. Put the enemy to sleep. Be nice to them, show kindness. Just pointing this out when you have encounters with (nice) muslim men. Be wary, very wary.
Isn't it a shame that friendliness is used as a weapon!

Remember the story here just a little while ago, about the '30 terrorism plots' that the UK authorities were 'monitoring'? - well this chap wasn't one of them.
I followed the link, read the whole story, and this line stood out:
"Ibrahim is not believed to be on the radar of counter-terror officers and security services but he has come into contact with police before." (Jailhouse conversion?).
NOT ON THE RADAR.
So - how did they get onto him? Chap who sold him the explosive or potentially explosive materials felt suspicious and tipped off police?
The other thing that stood out: ritual denials from the local Muslims.
"Farooq Siddique, a spokesman for the Bristol Muslim Cultural Society, said Ibrahim was not known by any mosques in Bristol".
Oh yeah? Well, maybe...that doesn't mean that he isn't known to some mosque OUTSIDE Bristol. I hope the police have enough brains to think of asking ALL the mosques, once they know where this guy was before he came to Westbury-on-Trym.
Doesn't a conversion to Islam have to be witnessed? If this guy converted and took a Muslim name, somebody witnessed it, somewhere.
My own suspicion, growing stronger and stronger, is that when Muslim families say, if their son/brother/cousin/dad/ uncle is caught plotting/ attempting jihad, they had NO IDEA, they're SHOCKED! SHOCKED!...they're most likely lying.
And ditto when mosques, one and all, in every single case of either a born Muslim or a convert being caught red-handed plotting/ attempting/ actually practising jihad, swear black and blue that the perp was never near the mosque, no, they don't know anything at all about him, maybe he dropped in once a year...sorry, I don't believe them, and the police should adopt a similar scepticism.
Search the records of every mosque within a 30 mile radius, anyway!
This story indicates just exactly why the authorities in Singapore require that EVERY conversion to Islam must be made known to them.

It chimes with something I've come across repeatedly - the contrast between the famous Arab/Muslim 'hospitality' and charm (they took to modern propaganda techniques like ducks to water), and the equally famous prickliness of Jews, especially the Israelis (who are hopeless at propaganda, even to save their lives).
Christian clergypeople engaged in 'interfaith' enterprises, and not a few who've gone into the Arab world as 'missionaries' (see Kenneth Cragg, Colin Chapman, all the 'Friends of Sabeel') get suckered because the Muslims are 'easier' to talk to, and seem so much nicer, than those difficult, ornery Jews [who are too incurably honest to say anything other than what they truly think].
Same deal with Western journalists, diplomats, etc. Think of the British and US state depts (and what about the French!) full of Arabists, all seduced/ charmed [and bribed, too] by the Arab/Muslims, and selling Israel down the river, because, well, those d****ed Israelis are so ...IMPOSSIBLE.
It has only been the wisest and most discerning who have seen throug' the veils, through the smoke and mirrors, to the empty darkness behind the eyes of many a Muslim deceiver; or, on the other hand, have discerned that beneath the thorny exterior of the sabra, or the wariness of many a diaspora Jew when 'testing out' the sincerity of a Gentile, there is usually a warm and generous human being.

A word on misunderstanding Islam.
The world is occupied by about 7.2 billion people as of 2000. While there are hundreds of religions out their Islam is the only religion that demands or begs to be understood. All the other religions are content and make no demands of the 7.2 billion people.
Of the 7.2 billion, the Muslins are about 1.2 billion people. From the 1.2 billion Muslims, less than 1% of all Muslims truly understand Islam. This means that less 120 million Muslims understand Islam and about 7.1 billion have no idea what Islam is about. Islam can only be understood by the few Muslims who study Islam and promote Jihad aka terrorists according to the Koran. So anyone who is not a Jihadi is a misunderstander of Islam.
Now 120 millions out of 7.2 billion makes about 0.16% which is a tiny fraction of 1% of the global population. It is very hypocrite of Muslims to demand of the world to understand Islam when more than 99% of their own Muslims do not understand Islam. In order to understand Islam, one has to first become a Muslim (brainwash) and that will not guarantee that he or she will understand Islam when more than 99% don’t.
Before Muslims can cry that Islam is misunderstood they, themselves, need to understand Islam. And here comes the double whammy, if more Muslims were to understand Islam the terrorism would increase proportionally. The world is a better place when fewer people understand Islam. Islam essentially means to forcefully convert those who will and to kill those who resist conversion to Islam.
Bonus fact about peaceful Muslims – normally when any non Muslim kills another human the incident is ends after the death of victim. Only in Muslim world the work on the victim begins after the killing – they will start by decapitating the head and if the victim was a male they will cut off his pinis and stuff it in his mouth and if the victim was a female they will cut off both of her hands and stuff them one in the vagina and one in the butt-hole and this is only the beginning of the mutilation process. The whole world misunderstands why Muslims go so far in mutilating their victims.
Could one Muslim please explain to us whom we are ignorant why the mutilation of the body of a victim is necessary? We need to understand Islam better.
