Reading U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick's "Wake Up America" agenda -- a 10-point plan targeting potential jihadist infiltration into this country's military, security, educational and financial institutions -- triggers mixed emotions.First, relief. Finally, there is an elected official who understands the urgency of these festering national security threats. Virtually every other elected U.S. official, up to and including the president (and presidential candidates) has shockingly ignored these same threats. Which leads to a flash of panic: How could our leaders have allowed so many years go by without taking action? Then comes, for me at least, a sense of resolve to help Myrick accomplish her goals by trying to boost a much-needed national conversation about the jihadist threat at home.
The North Carolina Republican's plan warms up with two calls for investigations into those U.S. chaplains, in both the US military and the prison system, who were approved by Abdurahman Alamoudi, the convicted terrorist and Muslim Brotherhood (MB) member now serving 23 years in prison.
(Normal person's reaction: What do you mean an MB member later convicted of terrorism chose our Muslim military and prison chaplains? Tell me more. Government reaction: Zzzzz.)
In the early 1990s, back when he was something of a Washington power broker, Alamoudi helped set up the Pentagon's Muslim chaplain corps in conjunction with the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in America, a Saudi-funded operation that specializes in what you might call Jihadism 101. (Way to be awake, Pentagon.)
Alamoudi went to prison back in 2004, but no one since, in the military or the prisons, seems to have taken a second look at what his prodigies might be preaching (terrorism? treason? whatever?). Myrick plans to check into it herself.

Ambitious? You bet. Myrick deserves an "A" for effort for filling the leadership vacuum left by Republicans and Democrats alike regarding these and other home-front threats. Whether she can accomplish her goals, she will certainly help educate Americans on gravely important issues most of our politicians are too timid to talk about.
And not just politicians. Most liberal and conservative media types are afraid also. Both Myrick and West deserve our gratitude. Read it all.

There you can also get the phone number of your senators, and politely ask them to put forth a plan like Myrick´s. The same for your other elected officials. Please call them all, with Myrick´s plan in your hand, and ask them to support it or to take a similar initiative of their own.

Speaking as a citizen of Australia, I applaud Rep. Myrick's initiative and second traeh's advice to all United States citizens.
If the stealth jihad white-ants you guys, WE are sunk too.
It's the 11th hour but if Myrick can do what she's planning to do, and get others to join her, there's hope.
Send Rep Myrick appreciative letters. I am sure she will cop huge amounts of flak - and that her 'hatemail bag', as Mr Spencer calls it, will be bulging.
Any American here (especially anyone from Myrick's own 'patch' in North Carolina) who has financial resources should consider how they might put useful sums at her disposal, or otherwise offer practical assistance.
Make sure she receives an avalanche of intelligent praise and encouragement to drown out the hate.
Let's not forget that it was a WOMAN who presided over a key episode in the liberation of Spain from Muslim imperial oppressors.

Rep. Myrick Unveils “Wake Up America” Agenda
(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Rep. Sue Myrick (NC-9) released her “Wake Up America” agenda. Rep. Myrick’s goal in releasing her agenda is to alert, and educate, Americans to terrorist threats here at home posed by radical Islamic extremists. This is her agenda, this is not the agenda of the Congressional Anti-Terrorism Caucus.
This agenda is the start of Rep. Myrick’s work on these issues. As she moves forward on these points, she will update the public on her findings.
Her ten point agenda is below. There is also a link at the bottom to provide in-depth background information on all these points so that the public has a more clear understanding of the agenda items.
“Wake Up America” Agenda
1. Will call for a government investigation of all US military chaplains who were approved by Abdurahman Alamoudi.
2. Will call for a government investigation of all US prison chaplains who were approved by Abdurahman Alamoudi.
3. Will call for the Government Accounting Office (GAO) to investigate the selection process of Arabic translators in the FBI and DoD.
4. Will call for the Internal Revenue Service to investigate the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ (CAIR) 501(c)(3) non-profit status which restricts “lobbying on behalf of a foreign government”.
5. Introduce a bill to make the preaching, publication, or distribution of materials that call for the death of American citizens, attacks on the United States Government or Armed Forces, or the financing of the means and/or operations to accomplish these acts, acts of sedition and/or solicitation of treason.
6. Will call on the Government Accountability Office to conduct an audit to verify the total sovereign wealth fund investment in the United States.
7. Will attempt to cancel scholarship student visa program with Saudi Arabia until they reform their textbooks.
8. Will introduce a bill to restrict R-1/R-2 religious visas for imams who come from countries that do not allow reciprocal visits by non-Muslim clergy.
9. Will introduce a bill to cancel contracts to train Saudi police and other security forces in US Counterterrorism tactics until the Saudi’s certify the prosecution of Al Qaeda financiers, like Yasin al-Kadi, and the detention of repatriated Guantanamo terrorists that keep being released into the general population after being “rehabilitated”.
10. Will introduce or sponsor a bill to block the sale of sensitive military munitions, especially Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs), to Saudi Arabia.
