I'm sure he only wanted the nuclear information in order to generate electricity. "Iranian engineer guilty in Arizona nuclear plant software case," from The Associated Press, May 27 (thanks to Sr. Soph):
PHOENIX: An Iranian engineer has been convicted of illegally accessing a protected computer to use software he obtained at a former job at the largest U.S. nuclear plant.Mohammad Reza Alavi faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 (€158,600) fine after being convicted Tuesday of illegally accessing a computer. A sentencing hearing has not yet been set.
The jury deadlocked on two other charges of stealing protected software from Phoenix's Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station and illegally exporting it in violation of the U.S. trade embargo with Iran....
Is this...person an American citizen, or a permanent-resident alien, or is he here on a work visa? Even if he's a naturalized citizen, given current world circumstances it's impossible not to question the judgment of those who hired him.
Now I wonder why that might be! Steal nuclear secrets and pass it on to Iran to expedite their Nuclear program for supposedly peaceful use. Or it might be just the call for the ultimate Jihad weapon.
Who the hell is vetting Iranian engineers to work in our nation's nuclear facilities? What preposterous pretense could they use to justify such enormous risks?
I sure hope that this case highlights the foolishness of such policy and point out and publicly identify individuals who continue to advocate such potentially suicidal PC/MC diktats.
And if they refuse to hire moslems the operators of these nuclear facilities will be called "racists".
The only way to deal with islam in a common-sense manner is to drop our pretensions at political correctness.
Not repeating the mistake the Germans and the Dutch made with hiring AQ Khan, who in his spare time photocopied loads of blueprints and other sensitive documents.
Fat chance that we will get a common-sense administration from any of the three stooges still in the race.
Especially the Dhimmicrats who don't take security clearances and the like very seriously at all.
See Sandy Burglar.
My guess is he was trying to hack into the computer in an effort to cause a melt down.
Many Iranian activists will no doubt insist that this is a special case and that the overwhelming majority of Iranian-Americans are loyal to the US. There's just one problem: it only takes one bad apple to destroy the entire barrel.
How many Iranian nationals (born in Iran and living in the US) are here right now? Where do their loyalties lie? Are they policing their own?
Once it is pointed out that he is muslim all charges will be dropped.
It only happend because of racism and Islamophobia. No doubt. He is innocent. He just did his Islamic duty...
If the courts keep letting these guys off, eventually somebody is going to have to do something.

once again ...stupid jurists, they probably marched in last weeks anti war parade.
THIS IS BEYOND UNBELIEVABLE! A CLEAR CASE OF IRANIAN/ISLAMOFASCIST ESPIONAGE AGAINST THE UNITED STATES! ANOTHER ACT OF WAR BY IRAN AGAINST US!!! WATCH THE PC/ DOMESTIC ENEMY LEFT-WINGERS TRY TO EXPLAIN THIS AWAY.
Notice the name of this creep. Mohammed. Somehow I think it's safe to assume that Mohammed is the name more criminals worldwide have in common than any other.
Who's doing the vetting for the nuclear plants? Has Homer Simpson been promoted?

Sounds almost like Mohammad Reza Palavi. One could only hope...
Oh yeah, that's right. Our friend Palavi was betrayed by Dhimmy Carter.
It almost seems the ruling elites of this country are inviting another 9-11 or worse, and when it happens , than they will clamp down, and it will be on all of us.
Choi,
It is considered poor netiquette to post in all capital letters.

Forgive me if you have some other reason for it.

Somehow, though it has taken a while, I begin to understand the reasoning behind impounding Japanese and German descendants during WW2. I'm not saying it was the right thing, mind you, but I begin to understand the people who did that back then. If only we had as clear an understanding of what is going on today, we'd behave differently.
The proverbial dots are there, in bold face XL type, but somehow, the government doesn't even connect a couple of them, let alone see the whole picture.
Unless...
...there are those who would encourage a major attack on the US, in order to impose martial law, and remove the last vestiges of personal freedom and constitutional rights for our citizens. Such a move would have to be in place in order for us to enter the New World Order, you know? Citizens will not willingly give up their freedom.
The problem is the "global economy".
The companies that do the work in a nuke have people from every country in the world working for them.

Has Homer Simpson been promoted?
