Convert to Islam sets off nail bomb in UK restaurant

He we go 'profiling' again. Now why would anyone think the suspect was an adherent to Islam? Well, the UK will soon stop this kind of racist reporting I'm sure. Perhaps they could talk to Canada for a lesson.

Robert, the restaurant is one in a chain belonging to my sister and her husband. It's a "one world" restaurant, and nothing gives away it's Jewish ownership.

I hope that none of her other restaurants aren't being targetted, or that it could possibly be a backlash of my anti-jihad activism.

They used the word 'Islamic extremist' in the British media.

PM Brown is going to be upset at the use of this word instead of the actually suicide bomber.

And right now the mosque that this guy went to is 'sanitizing' everything. Can you say paper shredders and incinerator?

If the guy is European and converts to Islam is he part of this 'Islamic race' that we keep hearing about that is 'so' discriminated against?

On a most important note, thankfully none of our British friends were hurt.

It's interesting because this part of the world doesn't really have an immigrant, or 2nd gen or 3rd gen population from Pakistan/India/Arabia/North Africa so it makes sense that this was a convert.

What's important about this is that is was a convert, which shows that it is the ideology which is the problem and not necessarily the individual.

Now, if the authorities pick up on this I will be very surprised, but to those of us with at least an intermediate knowledge of Islam, it will come as no surprise.

It shows that Islam is somewhat like a computer virus - the location means nothing; it's all about whether the individual has been infected.

One more step along the road to the common person understanding that Islam is a toxic religion.

Hey, when people convert to Christianity and are zealous, they often just start helping poor people, staying away from booze/drugs, become chaste, and occasionally annoy people with overly enthusiastic evangelizing. I've not seen even a small trend of new Christians wanting to kill and maim people in order to be faithful to Jesus.

If Islam is a religion of peace, why does the stink of violence so often arise from Muslim communities? This is the elephant in the global room!

Freedom of religion was the crowning jewel of the American revolution. When it was adopted, it was thought that all religions were, at the very least, peaceful and spiritually uplifting.

I can see no reason why we should continue to treat Islam with the same respect and consideration as we do with most other religions.

Islam should be classified as a non-religious entity, subject to the same laws of any other organization, and without the protections guaranteed to religion in this country.

It should receive no more consideration than the bloods and crips, and possibly even less because of its political dimensions.

Where did he learn how to make bombs? Did he learn it during his high school or in one of the mosques? Can somebody begin to investigate how they learn this 'technology'?
To some moslems, keeping arms in the mosque is just one of the ways to prepare for jihad and that is one of the reasons why they do not allow 'infidels' to trespass.
