MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) - A little-known Somali Islamist group claimed responsibility on Thursday for a bomb attack that killed three people in Ethiopia on the eve of national celebrations to mark the 17th anniversary of the current government's ascent to power.
"We will keep on fighting until we liberate our country from the Ethiopian invaders,"
said Haji Abukar, a spokesman for the Islamic Guerrillas, after claiming responsibility for Tuesday's bombing in Nagele, 560 kilometers (347 miles) south of the capital, Addis Ababa. "Our fighters will continue their holy war against the enemy of Somalia and we will target them everywhere."
The Guerillas are a relatively little known group in Somalia and Ethiopia, and only began making public statements three months ago.
It was not possible to independently verify their claim.
"We are an Islamic group that stands for the liberation of Somalia and have a good relationship with the rest of the insurgents in Somalia," Abukar said.
Ethiopian troops have been supporting the shaky Somali government since December 2006, when they helped drive out an Islamic group from Mogadishu, the capital, and much of the rest of southern Somalia. The Islamists vowed to fight an Iraq-style insurgency and thousands of Somalis have been killed in the subsequent fighting....

We need more details. 'Three people were killed'.
Three faceless, nameless 'people' - whereas AP takes great care to tell us the name of their murderer Haji Abukar, jihadi gang boss, and his 'outfit', and their aims.
Three Ethiopian civilians? Three Ethiopian *Christian* civilians, perhaps? Three men? Three women? Two adults and a child? I want to know. I want to know their names, too.
Come on, AP. If 'Palestinian' Arab Muslims pick a fight with the Israelis you always tell us about the dead or wounded 'civilians', and the token child who's ALWAYS in the field of fire.
So: tell us who these three Ethiopians are, mown down by the Jihad.
Another thing: I noticed what that assassin said. And you tell us, AP, that this group, 'Islamic Guerillas', aren't purely in Somalia - they're in Ethiopia.
Who wants to bet that Haji Abukar, jihad boss, regards all of Ethiopia, as well as Somalia, as territory in need of 'liberation' (Islamspeak: use the Orwell Islamspeak Decoder, and out comes 'Enslavement').
Aside to all Western governments.
No more 'aid' (de facto jizya) to Egypt. Not one red cent. Everything you're giving to Egypt - give it to Ethiopia instead. They can't be any *more* corrupt than Egypt - in fact, they are probably somewhat less corrupt. Help them to build civil society, there in their natural fortress, that great mountain plateau, and defend themselves against the jihad that assails them from without, and also from within, from their rebellious and sedition-minded Muslim population. Give the Ethiopian Christian missionaries every assistance to intensively evangelise that Muslim population - 24/7 radio broadcasts).
(Likewise: no more aid to Pakistan - give it to India instead and buck them up to squash the jihad in Jammu and Kashmir once and for all.
No more 'aid' for Saudi Arabia - give it to Israel instead, it would be a much more profitable investment).
In the above, I *should* have written that AP always tells us about "the dead or wounded 'Palestinian' Arab Muslim civilians' and the token 'Palestinian' Arab child who's always in the field of fire.
