Sharia Alert: "Iran launches fresh crackdown on websites: report," from AFP, May 20 (thanks to Morgaan Sinclair):
TEHRAN (AFP) — Iranian authorities have blocked access to several websites and blogs of women's rights advocates and journalists critical of the government, a press report said on Tuesday. The move follows a new directive sent out by a committee tasked with identifying illegal websites to Internet service providers, the reformist Etemad Melli newspaper said without giving a source.
"There seems to be a tougher approach this time as some sites and weblogs belonging to women's rights and human rights campaigners, writers critical of the government and well-known journalists" have been singled out, it said....
Blocking websites will not block women from seeking their God-given equal rights. Gee, what did women do before the internet? They stood up for themselves, that's what. Women don't need the permission of men, or society, or access to the internet to claim their equal rights.
Block away, you silly Muslims, but it doesn't change the fact that women are ALREADY your equal.
Men and women are different, yes, but women and men are definitely equal before God.
Muslims are good at wasting their precious time on stupid projects like this. All one can do is laugh.
"Who'll stop the rain?"

It doesn't rain that much in Iran, though.........
Point would be what no matter what the chuckle-heads in Tehran do, knowledge will flow through the cracks of Fortress Islam. Not to mention the Spying Squirrels, Barbi dolls and Spiderman comics.
More Motoons, anyone?
If the talibanization of Iran continues, the West may not have to attack. A civil war may erupt. I'd love to see Ahmadinejad deposed and dealt with by his own people.

Wouldn't that be a sight to see? I'm with you all the way, on this one, ImNoDhimmi, but I doubt the U.S. could bear to keep our nose out of it!
Too bad we can't cut bait, mourn our dead, and turn our backs. Oh, we'd still have to look over our shoulders, sure--but I think civil wars in sandy places should be observer sports only, for the West.
