The Hamas grievance mill is ever-churning, teaching the youngest children to hate Jews and aspire to kill them. In this latest video, the rabbit that wants to kill Jews and eat them up gets a history lesson from his grandfather, all about his wonderful city, Tel Al-Rabi', which has been seized by the Zionists and renamed Tel Aviv. He has the property deed, he has his house key -- oh, the poor man!
The only problem with this particular grievance is that it's entirely fictional. Tel Aviv was founded by Jews in 1909. There never was an Arab city named Tel Al-Rabi'. The whole presentation here is simply designed to buttress the flimsy "Palestinian" claim to "stolen land" -- which is in itself a figleaf for the jihad against Israel, which isn't about land at all, but about the insult of an infidel nation-state on land Muslims claim as their own.
"Grandfather of Hamas TV Bunny Assud Insists Tel Aviv Was a Palestinian City," from MEMRITV, May 9 (thanks to all who sent this in):
Following is an excerpt from the Hamas Children's show "The Pioneers of Tomorrow," which aired on Al-Aqsa TV on May 9, 2008:Assud the Bunny: Grandpa, where did you live? In what city?
Grandpa: We used to live in the most beautiful place in Palestine.
Assud: Where?
Grandpa: My dear, you've never seen such a place. I used to live in Tel Al-Rabi' [the Arab word for “spring,” which is “Aviv” in Hebrew]. What a beautiful place. My God, when I recall Tel Al-Rabi’, which the Zionists have called...
Assud: There's no such place called Tel Al-Rabi'. What's the matter, Grandpa? Have you gone senile?
Grandpa: I'm not senile. My head is working just fine. How can you say I'm senile? This place was called Tel Al-Rabi’, but the Zionists and Jews Hebraicized the name to "Tel Aviv." Where did this "Tel Aviv" come from? It has been Tel Al-Rabi’ for generations, on the land of Palestine, right next to Yafa. How can you say I've gone senile? I know this. My head still works just fine. Are you trying to confuse me? I'm not senile yet. I have documents and proof. I have all the papers here. The documents are right here with me. How can you say I'm senile? I have all the documents with me. Here they are. Everything is here, from the days of the British and even before. This is our land, as well as the fields, the trees, and the houses. I can even show you the key. You're calling me senile? I have proof.
Assud: Forgive me, Grandpa, it's not our fault. It's the fault of the school curricula, which did not teach us that Tel Aviv is in fact Tel Al-Rabi’, and vice versa.
Grandpa: No, my dear, take it from me. I know, and I have the papers and the land deeds. The name Tel Al-Rabi' has been forged by the Jews and Hebraicized to "Tel Aviv." They invented all these names. "Ashdod" is, in fact, Isdud. "Ashkelon" is, in fact, Al-Majdal. Where did they get these names? Al-Sab' is called "Beer Sheva"! It's all a lie. There are all pseudonyms. Yafa, Al-Lydd, Al-Ramla, Al-Sab' – they changed all these names and Hebraicized them, and now they say: That's Tel Al-Rabi’? There is no such thing. It's Tel Aviv. It's all a lie. All these names were Hebraicized by the Jews.

Tricky rabbit! Tel Aviv was founded by Jews, not by tricky rabbits!

You left out Australia. Muslims converted the Aborigine way before the white criminal settlers appeared. Or at least that is their claim, also I think some cleric claimed the US as well, as muslims converted some East Coast Indians to Islam, pre-Columbus. I am sure these Aborigine's and Indians were literate, could read the Quran in Arabic, and new exactly why they should abandon their old gods and take up Allah. The only question is, if Islam was that attractive to Indians and indigenous Australians, why is it they are not practicing it now? Something that becomes ritual like praying five times a day is hard to give up, once you have become ritualized to it. Yet is there any evidence that Aborigine's pray five times a day, have ever prayed five times a day, or ever heard of Allah? I don't know, but I seriously doubt it.
It has been Tel Al-Rabi’ for generations, on the land of Palestine,
the land of Palestine exists on in the mad dreams of the muslim invaders of the land of the jews
right next to Yafa. How can you say I've gone senile? I know this. My head still works just fine. Are you trying to confuse me? I'm not senile yet. I have documents and proof.
not likely
Grandpa's repeated assertions of "I'm not senile..." --- are a definite sign of senility.
David wrote this long ago and it still applies:
for wicked and deceitful men
have opened their mouths against me;
they have spoken against me with lying tongues.
With words of hatred they surround me;
they attack me without cause.
In return for my friendship they accuse me,
but I am a man of prayer.
They repay me evil for good,
and hatred for my friendship.
Appoint [a] an evil man [b] to oppose him;
let an accuser [c] stand at his right hand.
When he is tried, let him be found guilty,
and may his prayers condemn him.
May his days be few;
may another take his place of leadership.
May his children be fatherless
and his wife a widow.
May his children be wandering beggars;
may they be driven [d] from their ruined homes.
May a creditor seize all he has;
may strangers plunder the fruits of his labor.
May no one extend kindness to him
or take pity on his fatherless children.
May his descendants be cut off,
their names blotted out from the next generation.
May the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the LORD;
may the sin of his mother never be blotted out.
May their sins always remain before the LORD,
that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.
Besides aren't rabbits unclean to Muslims?
The city of Ashdod was a city in the land of Canaan and is first mentioned in the Bible in the book of Joshua...circa 1450 BC.
The city of Ashkelon was a city in Canaan and is also mentioned in the Book of Joshua.
Islam: senility sanctified.

Let's not forget Beersheba!
Sez the Hamas liar, lying through his teeth: "Where did they get these names? Al-Sab' is called "Beer Sheva"! It's all a lie. There are all pseudonyms. Yafa, Al-Lydd, Al-Ramla, Al-Sab' – they changed all these names and Hebraicized them".
Not Beersheba, mate. (Nor Jaffa or Lodd, either: both long precede the Arab Muslim invasion and occupation of the land of Israel - Jaffa is mentioned in the New Testament, i.e. it existed as a Roman and Jewish city in the first century AD). But Beersheba is right there in Genesis. Beersheba is ancient.
Genesis 21: 27-33:
And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech, and both of them made a covenant.
And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.
And Abimelech said unto Abraham, 'What mean those seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?'
And he said, 'For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well."
Wherefore HE CALLED THAT PLACE BEER-SHEBA [that is, the Well of the Oath]; because there they sware both of them.
Thus they made a covenant at BEER-SHEBA...
And Abraham planted a tree in BEER-SHEBA, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God."
Now, I can't recall, off the top of my head, exactly at what time this account from Genesis is first known to have been written down. But I would bet anything that it was written down centuries, perhaps even a cool millennium, before any Arab went near the place except as a temporary visitor/ trader/ raider; and that the extra-scriptural record of history and archaeology shows that the place was called Beersheba, more than a millennium before Ubul Kassim ha-Meshugga, alias 'mohammed', was ever born.
In other words, the facts of the matter, as appears to be usual with Arab Muslim agitprop, are exactly reversed. The Arabs invaded, and 're-named' or Arabised the ancient Hebrew name, Beersheba, turning it into 'As-Sab' ('sab' corresponding to 'sheba'?).
There *are* many places with Arab-sounding names, in eretz Israel, or on maps of 'palestine' from the Mandate period or earlier; but anyone with a sound knowledge of Biblical and extra-Biblical Levantine history and geography, and of basic linguistics, can see that most of these 'arab' names are ARABISED VERSIONS/ distortions of pre-existing HEBREW placenames (or, in some later cases, Arabisations of Roman, Byzantine Greek or even Latin Crusader placenames! - in these cases, history usually shows that the people who originally named them were also the people who built them - Crusaders, for example, built new forts in certain places).
