Fox Guarding the Henhouse Alert: sure, says the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, Libya would be a great choice as a mediator! "Philippines: Rebels welcome Libya's offer to head peace monitoring mission," from AKI (thanks to Sr. Soph):
Cotabato City, 12 May (AKI) – The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), the Philippines' largest Islamic separatist group, welcomed Libya's offer to replace Malaysia and lead the international peace monitoring mission in war-torn Mindanao. The Gaddafi International Charity and Development Foundation, through its special envoy Salem Adam, said Libya is ready to take over Malaysia's role, as the Southeast Asian country has already started to withdraw its representatives from the Philippines.
Ghazali Jaafar, the vice chairman for political affairs of the MILF, said on Monday that a decision will be taken after discussing the offer with Manila but it praised Libya's initiative....
Talks between the government and MILF have been going on for more than 10 years....
Gaddfi's son, Saif ul Islam, 'sword of Islam', has been busy like a bee shuttling back and forth between Mindanao and Thailand's 'deep south', where the jihad rages, to make peace for land deals.
But unless the jiziyah flows, along with ethnic cleansing and with more rights than autonomy can give, muslims have to fight for their own state, (of course) and that doesn't end with any borders that an infidel government would agree to, because that would be very unislamic, and the jihad cannot stop until the whole country finally submits. whether Thailand or Philippines, the end goal is always the same: Islamic domination.
But don't worry, infidels: you will be tolerated, if you submit. You don't have to do military service, and you will be protected. Trust your Muhammedan overlords: we wouldn't lie to you!
Colonel Gaddafi - Got Milf?
Back in the 70s and 80s, Qaddafi was the main financier of MILF's predecessor...the MNLF. He ended up bokering the peace deal that brought Southern Mindanao autonomy under the rule of the MNLF and effectively ended the Philippino government's jurisdiction there.
Qaddafi also brokered a hostage-release/ransom-payment deal with Abu Sayyaf guerrillas a few years ago after some foreign tourists were kidnapped by the terrorist group. Shortly after the millions were paid, Abu Sayaf members were transporting themselves from island to island in ultra-modern motor boats, their insurgency given new mobility and new life.
It seems every time Qaddafi interjects himself as an "honest broker" into the Philippines, the Muslim separatists come out ahead.
Describing the Colonel as an "honest broker" is enough to make a cat laugh.
Is Libya really any worse than Malaysia - the country whose leader wants all the world to submit to sharia, the country that has hosted al-qaeda summits?
It looks like six of one and a half dozen of the other.
Kaddafi's been playing this "negotiator" extortion racket to finance terrorism for decades now. He's doing it in spades in Darfur as even the corrupt UN acknowledges;
Video footage of Kaddafi acting as honest broker.Slightly OT:
Did anyone see "Law and Order" last night?
The "zealot extremist" group portrayed was...Hassidic Judaism! And I bet you thought it was going to be Christianity! I did!
They would never dare portray Mohammedans the way Hassidic Jews were portrayed last night.
Total cowards. Like "24" using Russians as Terrorists! Russians! That's so...1980's! ANY group but the Real Deal - Muslims and Islam.
We've come a long way. There was a made-for-tv movie about hijackers from the Middle East, but that was twenty years ago (if not more). But even that didn't point to Islam per se. The group was something like the Palestinians - a secular group with a cause.
What about the Super Bowl? I read the book where the Good Year blimp was used to bomb the Super Bowl but I never saw the movie. Who was behind that one?
I went to NBC. com and commented on the "Law and Order" last night. I dared them to create an episode in which Muslims and Islam were portrayed as negatively as Hassidic Judaism was last night.
I know it's off topic, but I can't refuse to discuss a couple of good flicks that managed to sneak past the MSM and the Islamic NGO's.
Rules of Engagement, Samuel L Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones. Was pretty good film, showing how Yemenis were waging Jihad to kill Americans and how the US government was covering it up for the Yemenis and the Jihadists.
Also, The Seige with Denzel Washington and Bruce Willis. Of course they paint Islam with a rosey brush, and the theme of the movie was multi-culti don't discriminate, but Islam was wreaking havoc on NY City with sleeper cells blowing up buses, movie theatres etc. Both movies were before 911 I believe.
On topic, the PHilippino President Arayo is all too eager to give up land for peace. Again, Mindanao is majority Christian, and the Muslims still want it ruled under Shariah, regardless of the minority.
Back off topic: Does anyone happen to know if Iraq is majority shia or sunni population? I'm hearing mixed things. I've heard it was majority Shia population, which sounds logical considering it's got a shiite government through a vote. I heard the country was around 65% Shiite. Is this accurate? Are they counting Sunni Kurds along with the Sunni Arabs in Iraq? If the Sunni Kurds and Sunni ARabs in Iraq are combined, is it still a majority Shiite country or is Iraq majority Sunni?
Sneakyzionistcrusader:
You have your facts right about Iraq. The Kurds aren't Arab but they're Sunni. That makes the religious divide (not counting the few Christians still remaining in Iraq) about 65 - 35. (give or take a few percentage points)
Iraq can be divided along religious lines or ethnic lines, depending on the storyline of the day.
PMK thanks for responding. Sorry I'm not sure if I understood you properly, so just to confirm.....with the Sunni Kurds combined wtih the Sunni Arabs in Iraq, the Shiites are still a majority or are the Sunnis the majority in Iraq?
Sneakyzionistcrusader,
That's right. Even combined, the Sunni groups are outnumbered by the Shia. The Shiite Arabs have a solid majority. The Sunni Arabs are about 15%, the Kurds about 20% and the Shiites make up the rest, except for a minor number of Christian Arabs still in Iraq. (Those referred to as the marsh Arabs are supposedly Christian.)
Even if they're not as high as 65%, I'm pretty sure the Shiites are still over 60% of the population.
PMK thanks for confirming that for me.
Kaddafi's extortion jihad was emboldened by his successful EU hostage extortion affair last year.
Expect more of the same in the Philippines and elsewhere.
Gadafi is confused. He saw the word 'MILF' and thought he could add to his group of female bodyguards.
First Malaysia, then Libya, what's it about the Filipinos even considering all these Mohammedan attempts at mediation? Don't they know that these won't be neutral parties?
after all these years and he is still just a colonel?..
Kaddafi would like to pay back the USA too, for our bombing in Libya, ordered by President Reagan. An adopted child from Kaddafi was killed.
Somebody PLEASE send President Gloria Arroyo and the rest of the non-Muslims in the Filipino government, the following statement which nicely sums up the way that pious Mohammedans are taught to see the world:
Ibn Ishaq, Life of Mohammed, A Guillaume translation, verse 231 - “Muslims are one ummah (community) to the exclusion of all men. Believers are friends of one another to the exclusion of all outsiders.”
(Of course, in reality Muslims war incessantly upon one another [which seems to be the *real* 'internal struggle' aspect of jihad! - the civil strife of Muslim with Muslim, since it is perfectly impossible ever to be a 'pure' enough Muslim, if someone else decides they are purer than you are]; but the predatory Ummah is even *more* predatory toward the Enemy Other, the subhuman Kafir).
This means that it is extremely unlikely that a Muslim 'mediator' would *ever* act to benefit a Kafir over a Muslim, in any dispute between Kafirs and Muslims.
If the Filipinos ask a Muslim country - Libya, Malaysia - to 'mediate' in their war with the Muslim rebels in the south, they [the non-Muslim Filipinos] will be screwed. I just can't see any other possible outcome.
