Muslim gangs are threatening to take control of one of Britain's top security prisons where inmates include al-Qa'eda terrorists, a report reveals.
Staff at Whitemoor jail, Cambs, believe a "serious incident is imminent" as several wings become dominated by Muslim prisoners.
There is an on-going theme of fear and instability among employees, says the Prison Service's Directorate of High Security report.
"There is much talk around the establishment about 'the Muslims'," it says.
Some staff believe the situation has resulted in Muslim prisoners becoming more of a gang than a religious group.
"The sheer numbers, coupled with a lack of awareness among staff, appear to be engendering fear and handing control to the prisoners," the report says.
The situation has become so bad that white prisoners are warned about the Muslim gangs by staff on arrival.
The concern about Muslim prisoners is in danger of leading to hostility and Islamophobia, the report warns.
What a strangely worded and ultimately meaningless sentence: Whose concern? The guards? They're duty-bound to enforce regulations professionally and equitably, and to keep prisoners safe from one another.
If anything, when they do take action to reduce the level of tension and the eroded sense of control, they certainly will be accused of hostility and Islamophobia.

Lack of awareness in the staff is inexcusable. Remedy that. If necessary, bring staff in from other prisons, and send your weaklings to the "social club" prisons.

I worked in a major American metropolitan county sheriff's jail division for 13 years, 7 of those years as a detective, the first 6 years in uniform inside the inmate housing units.
From reading this report it does appear that the staff has already lost control of the prison and that it is only a matter of time before an overt action, such as a riot, occurs. It has been written that just prior to a major event "you can feel it in the air", such as has been described by staff at this prison.
For readers who have not worked in a "corrections" setting, when an officer walks into a prison housing unit, he is actually on the prisoners' turf. The officers are always outnumbered, sometimes by as much as 32 to 1.
Add the current political atmosphere, in which Muslims through the worldwide jihad have manufactured a situation placing themselves as a different and superior class of citizen (or prisoner), and you get a staff that is reluctant to take appropriate action for prisoners breaking written prison rules.
When staff quits enforcing prison rules, the inmates know they have taken control. Prisoners are masters of sensing fear among their captors.
The situation is grave here. Lives will be lost when the riot happens. For the Brits to now be worried about creating an air of Islamophobia by cracking down on the prisoners is beyond insanity.
The Guardian newspaper carried the Muslim prisoner gang’s story and just nearby was an article of 24 May 08 by one Stephen Heap, “coordinating chaplain” (whatever that means) at the University of Bedforshire, which should really be renamed “Appeasement 101”.
Take this, for example:
“There do come times, however, when believers in God find that the law of the land is not compatible with what they understand to be the law of God, and indeed the principle can work in reverse. There is nothing new in that. In this country, tension between religious and national law has arisen on various occasions. Potentially it might arise for anyone with a set of beliefs about right and wrong, religious or otherwise.”…
And goes on to give an example….
“So, for example, during the two world wars of the last century, some Christians and others refused to obey the laws that would have conscripted them to fight. Christians did so believing that the law of God says violence is wrong.”…
And a bit later….
“One occasion in the past when this issue arose was around the Christian dissenters of the 17th century who refused to accept the king's right to determine what individuals should believe and how they should worship.”…
Note that the two examples given are for issues we might all agree are “good” – “violence is wrong”, and people should not be told what they should believe. Uh huh, so it’s ok then to ask for the Sharia to be adopted…..
But, psst… “don’t mention the war!”……The truly extraordinary thing is that Heap manages to talk of these issues without once mentioning “Islam”!! But the intent could not be more clear nor more clearly relativist: it’s been OK in the past to hew to a higher god, in opposition to the (man-made) law of the land, so it must be ok (by analogy) for there to calls for Sharia. The intent is clear in his reference to the the Archbishop of Cantebury’s lecture in February 08, which caused such a furore in the UK…. But, again, without mentioning that it was about Islam and Sharia.

So while the staff is in fear of their lives from muslim gangs on one hand, they are more afraid of retribution from their supervisors, who I presume, could use the offices of government to criminalize any action the staff might take to do their supposed jobs, and subsequently turn staff into inmates -- who will then be thrown to the gangs?

Too bad the people don't have the will to throw the leadership to the muslim gangs; then close the prison doors and lock them.

This ought to be reason enough to continue with Gitmo. Expand it instead. Send the hard cases to that place at the slightest reason that they're involved with the jihadis. These guys don't respect others' human rights and know how to exploit the democracies' freedoms for their own ends. The Yank whoever thought up the original facilities at Gitmo knew what type of people he was dealing with. It was a mistake to allow dhimmis to inspect the place.

What is happening in this prison is, in microcosm, exactly what is happening in all of Western society.
The authorities have the means to solve this problem easily and quickly. But they won't, because of political correctness.
Not so many years ago I heard someone say that political correctness is the greatest danger to our nation. At the time I thought, "Yeah, right. We've got lots of other problems that are way worse than the PC nonsense."
But now I understand what that person meant. We do have lots of other problems that are worse than political correctness (islam, for example), but political correctness destroys our ability to deal with those other problems.

In a way, I can't blame the guards. It's not so much that they don't want to do their job. It's that someone will look at their actions with 20/20 hindsight and decide they violated someone's rights. Then, even if they don't go to prison themselves, they'll lose their livelihood.
We no longer give police or other authorities the benefit of the doubt in these situations.
Two examples here in the US:
2 border guards in prison for shooting an illegal border crosser who was trying to evade capture, and another up on similar charges
US Marines who were accused of killing "an Iraqi civilian" and ended up in shackles.

This is correct. I have worked maximum security units in state mental hospitals. These people have proved they are dangerous, that's why they are there. The main difference between those in the hospital, and those in jail, or prison is the ability to formulate a plan. Mental patients are usually too self absorbed, and chaotic to organize.
This is not the case for criminal gangs and religious groups that organize in prisons. This is why there are gangs in prisons, and few in mental institutions. What needs to be done in the prison is to eliminate the ability for prisoners to organize.
To allow prisoners to organize, means sharing power with them. To some extent this is appropriate in a mental institution, but never in prison.
If you allow the inmates to run the institution, the guards might as well just go home.
In my estimation, all time in prison should be hard time. The most exciting thing you do all day is brush your teeth.
The rest of the time you dig and refill holes in the yard. No preachers or social workers allowed.

As I mentioned here yesterday (and have mentioned elsewhere on JW/DW) the UK state favours immigrants and ethnic minorities over the indigenous population.
There are several reasons for this:
1. The government wants to surrender sovereignty to the EU so that their dream of an EU of socialist republics can be realised. Repressing the population helps them achieve it.
2. Immigrants and ethnic minorities tend to vote New Labour - i.e. for the current government.
3. The government wants to establish Islam as the dominant religion. Or indeed anything as long as it's not Christianity.
4. The government does not care if the UK becomes majority black/Asian. As far as it is concerned, anyone who objects to ghettoisation can either put up with it or emigrate. If you object you get arrested for thought crime.
Perhaps they need to use US Army Field Manual 22-102 as a guide. I found it to be indispensible when counseling some of my troops.

A pertintnet clause on Challenging or defying Authority reads: Soldiers who harass their leaders are prime candidates for ass-beating. In this case, the soldier should not be given an opportunity to try to pull anything on you the second time. If the soldier harasses or ignores you, kick the shit out of him.

There's always Gitmo. I think it's interesting and quite telling that the only converts to Islam are prisoners and criminals. Islam fits right in line with their amoral, dishonest, narcissistic, hypocritical, barbaric mentaliy and way of dealing with everyone and everything. When America gets attacked again, Muslim prisoners will be the first ones shipped off to secret prison when we reinstitute the Japanese holocaust on Muslims, except this time we won't do it on US soil, and it officially won't have happened.
