Forthright. "Qurei: If talks fail, we'll return to taking Palestine in full," from the Jerusalem Post, June 7 (thanks to Mladen):
Chief Palestinian negotiator Ahmed Qurei alluded over the weekend that, should talks between Israel and the Palestinians fail, the Palestinian Authority may return to the concept of taking Palestine in full.Questioned by the Ma'an news agency over Israel's new construction plans in east Jerusalem, Qurei said that if Israel tries to impose facts on the ground, "I will tell them that we spent 30 years persuading Palestinians to accept a two-state solution, and if we do not succeed in achieving it, we will return to the idea of one state."
That is, a Sharia state.
It's too bad Israel didn't say that in 2000:
We tried to negotiate with you. The talks failed. You started an intifada. Well, we're taking back what is rightfully ours and you are going to have to find somewhere else to live.
Or they could stop this nonsense and stick to the plan offered to them by the League of Nations.
Palestinian Arabs do have a state. Its called Jordan:

What does this joker, Ahmed Qurei, mean when he says that the Palestinian Authority "may return to the concept of taking Palestine in full?" Since when hasn't it been the true policy of the PA, Machiavellian deceptions notwithstanding, to want it all and deny the legitimacy of Israel? Isn't that why Israel has been more or less at war since its inception sixty years ago? The Arab/Muslim world wants no Israel period. Can't allow kuffaars, especially Jews, to take back part of the dar-al-Islam, now can we?
If talks fail we'll just continue on with the plan.
Why the hell are they "negotiating" in the first place?
I'll answer my own question. They "negotiate" to lead or mislead people like Ms Rice and LD Bush into believing that they are real people.
From Article: and if we do not succeed in achieving it, we will return to the idea of one state."
When did they ever actually leave this idea?
One state is all they ever wanted anyway. Just another lie thrown out there to threaten Israel, maybe get his name in the news.
the technology is still with the west -- and one can hope (if we become more disciplined, with stronger families) that the west will always have the edge.
it is not inconceivable that the "palestinians" -- they who cannot be reconciled with a sovereign jewish state -- will yet lose it all.
I will tell him that they spent thirty years failing to persuade the Palestinians to accept a two-state solution.
Just more "chutzpallah", like the Pak ambassador... oh YAWHN... Do they never stop?
They have never advocated the two state solution.
Israel has never appeared on any map in the "palestinians" possession.
I do not know why anyone is even messing with this, it is obvious that the displaced Arabs have no intention to share even one tenth of one percent of the middle east. We hear of the apartheid state...Arabs are the ones who are guilty of apartheid.
Obama wants to negotiate unconditionally with terrorists. Is he going to give them everything they want since they'll take nothing less?
the Palestinian Authority may return to the concept of taking Palestine in full."
Is this not their plan all along anyway? why does not the State Dept, EU, UN, elites of the world recognize this fact?
But it is 2008, not 2005, not 2001, not 1990, not 1970. And that means that in Western Europe, and in North America, and in many other places -- in Thailand and the Philippines, and in the Christian parts of Black Africa, and even among those in Latin America who possess some fondness for the idea of Spain, and La Hispanidad -- Islam is being studied, Islam is being understood, and the sympathy that Israel lost, over the years, by dint of a massive propaganda campaign, one based on the clever notion of disguising the Lesser Jihad against Israel by inventing a "Palestinian people" out of the local Arabs (and the so-called "Arab refugees" who suddenly, overnight, were renamed as the "Palestinian refugees").
But the Infidels are beginning to see Islam plain. Events in London, Madrid, Amsterdam, Moscow, Beslan help them along. So do the websites, those run by apostates, and those run by Infidels, that present the irrefutable and undeniable contents of Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira, and then go on to discuss the grim facts of Islamic conquest and subjugation of non-Muslims. It's just too much to deal with, too much to try to suppress. And the websites, and the columnists, become ever-more numerous, and the knowledge about the texts and tenets of Islam, becomes ever-more widely disseminated, sinks into the consciousness of more and more people.
And the last to learn may be the Israelis, but even they are beginning to figure out things, and why peace-processing and the "truce" treaties that result make no sense, and should not be pursued with the offer of any tangible assets, but only of "peace" for "peace" -- and a "peace" with Arab states. As for the "Palestinian people" -- if they have a grievance, they can present it to the Al-Saud, and the rich regimes up and down the Gulf. Let them pay for those soi-disant "Palestinians." The West owes those Arabs nothing, and they are certainly not entitled to the unallocated portions of the Mandate for Palestine that Jordan renamed the "West Bank" and that, for 2000 years or more, were known -- as Jesus knew them -- as Judea and Samaria.
No, the jig is up for that "Palestinain people" business. Osama bin Laden, and the others, didn't hold off long enough. They acted too soon. They should have waited another ten or twenty years. Not just in order to make sure that Israel would surrender more territory, but also to make sure that the people of Western Europe would not come to their senses in time.
But some have, and many more are doing so every day. And every European who senses the menaing and menace of Islam is someone who may have been inveigled, briefly, into sympathy or support for the "Palestinians" but, more and more, sees them for what they are -- merely the shock troops of the Jihad against Israel.
The Slow Jihadists of Fatah are unaware of the sea change in understanding, and therefore in sympathies. But they will become aware. It may take a little while. We have time.

Yes Hugh, this is exactly what is happening. People talk, people read, they email, and eventually it sinks in: Islam is not a religion, it is a cult. The more people begin to understand that Jihad is designed to spread this cult, the more turned off against it they become. All those nice Americans and Europeans who were so willing to give benefit of doubt and let the Islamic propaganda dictate to them what they are to understand are realizing, slowly slowly, they had been lied to. There is no reason to show them any reverence, and surely no empathy or sympathy, because they are out to get us. It's that simple. Dawa first, then comes the Jihad.
Even us most educated, liberal enlightened types are slowly catching on. Not a religion, so don't give them equal time. This is not a time for liberal understanding, Christian compassion, equal handedness, equality of cultures, etc, but a time for cold hearted facts. Islam is not a religion. Islam is a cult, and it must be dealt with.
The whole of the Levant should be wrested from Muslim control.
The land stolen from the Greeks by Turkey should be restored to the Greeks.
