Amen to that, and let's remember the lingering illnesses that some people are suffering from due to breathing in the particles that were airborne after the buildings collapsed.

I hope the insurance companies get their day in court. Any Saudi influence peddling in the Bush Administration (or bribes) should result in the offenders going to Supermax federal prisons. No pardons.

Point one: tort reform, anyone? This is not the first time that aggressive American lawyers do things in the national interest that the government or its agencies were unable or unwilling to do. I am happy to hear this. Saudi-owned American assets --and these are not insignificant-- could be seized if the courts find for the plaintiffs. This would perform the dual service of compensation for the actions of 9/11 and Saudi complicity in them as well as denial of American land and businesses to Saudi control. But it will not be an easy fight. The Saudis have installed their paid lackeys throughout the government and they will be working hard to serve their masters' interests. But an interested, informed, vocal and active public may ensure that this story doesn't get buried. This is an election year. Make sure your elected or electable representatives know that you're watching this story and expect due process to be honored.

At the very least, this lawsuit will expose the Saudis. No one else will -- not the MSM, not the government, not anyone with any voice.

In the short term, we have to drill in ANWAR and in other places in the US, so that the Saudis don't have us by the throat with their oil. And in the long term, we have to develop alternate sources of energy.

The reason why Bush won't touch the Saudis is because we desperately need their oil. Also, Bush doesn't want to go down in history as Dhimmy Carter II, in other words, someone who handed yet another country in the Middle East to a terrorist regime.

Turki bin Faisal al Saud AKA Prince Turki was being interviewed regarding a post 9/11 attack by islamists in which there were accusations of Saudi involvement. I don't remember the details of the attack or the date and the details are not important to my point. The attack had not been well co-ordinated and Turki, alluding to this fact stated; " If we Saudis had been involved it would have been done right." The veil wasn't that thin..he was bragging about SA's involvement in the 9/11 atrocity. Nobody in the press followed up on that..not then, not ever but I heard it with my own ears. He, as head of SA intelligence knew about it and here he was bragging about it and nobody cared because they have paid off..lock stock and barrel, everyone in this country who could or can touch them.
