"If they come for me, man, there's gonna be a fricking shootout. I ain't goin' to no jail, man."

But maybe he is. "Suspected terror leader plotted attack in fear of looming arrest," by Isabel Teotonio in the Toronto Star, June 10 (thanks to all who sent this in):

Fearing his days were "numbered" and his arrest imminent, the alleged ringleader of a homegrown terror cell wanted to forge ahead and build explosives to carry out a "mission" that included an attack on Ottawa, a Brampton court was told yesterday.

"I'm just gonna go all out with the mission call, man, like fully all out," he is overheard saying in an electronic intercept. "If we had more money, guy, I would have just strapped up, like, as many people as possible. ... 'Cause this is tense."

The tension had been mounting since he'd learned that two American associates were arrested on terrorism-related charges. It was just a matter of time before police moved in on him, he suspected.

That's why, on April 25, 2006 the alleged ringleader of the Toronto 18 spoke of preparing explosives destined for Ottawa with Mubin Shaikh, a police informant he believed was a co-conspirator in the plot. The explosives could be built within a week out of fuel containers filled with broken glass, nails, metal filings and ball bearings. He said he needed five guys for the mission.

He said he'd grown concerned since reading in the Toronto Star that two Georgia men, Syed Haris Ahmed and Ehsanul Sadequee, had been arrested after visiting Toronto in March 2005 to meet three "Islamic extremists."

The article said the men discussed terror strikes in the United States, including attacks on oil refineries and military bases, and planned to disable the Global Positioning System (GPS), which would disrupt military and commercial communications and air traffic.

During the intercept, the alleged ringleader suggests he is one of the three men referred to and says the Americans stayed with him for two weeks. He said Sadequee had attended high school in Ajax and that he was "very, very tight" with him.

Contrary to the report, he said, they never discussed attacking oil refineries, but he did take credit for coming up with the GPS idea.

He went on to reveal that the Americans were planning to attack the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, adding, "That's pure airborne, man."

Fearing their arrest would lead police to his doorstep, the alleged ringleader told Shaikh, "My days are numbered."

"If they come for me, man, there's gonna be a fricking shootout," he said. "I ain't goin' to no jail, man."

He also said that if a couple of officers died in a gun battle, that in itself would be "enough terror."...

"If they come for me, man, there's gonna be a fricking shootout," he said. "I ain't goin' to no jail, man."

I guess he backed out of the "Fricking Shootout" when they came for him. Too bad, could've saved the taxpayers a lot of money.

The man appears misinformed. He doesn't seem to realize the close-knit Muslim community that will await him in prison.

There, there, now. There's no reason to be afraid.

And just what was THEIR motive for attacking - was it the troops in Iraq, our support for Israel, our support for Egypt, our aid to tsunami victims? Just what made these poor, misguided young men want to lash out like that?

Is there a psychiatrist in the house?

Is it just me or was the gentleman featured in the article unnamed?

"Is it just me or was the gentleman featured in the article unnamed?"

I believe the accused's identity is being witheld due to his being a minor at the time of his arrest, in accordance with the Canadian Young Offenders Act.

You mean the Youth Criminal Justice Act? If so, that would make sense I guess.

Anyway, why not just have themsign a "peace bond" and move along?

From article: "If we had more money, guy, I would have just strapped up, like, as many people as possible. ... 'Cause this is tense."

If he was short of cash for these operations he should have asked the Saudis. I'm sure the king would have come up with something...

"You mean the Youth Criminal Justice Act?"

Ah, just so. The Youth Criminal Justice Act replaced the Young Offenders Act in 2003, since the YOA was perceived as being too lenient. It's nice to see that they've toughened things up.

So it's true.
Islamic jihadists are recruiting mentally-handicapped people to perform acts of terror.

When the first large scale terror attack happens in Canada, who is going to be the first to tell the Department of Immigration "I told you so"?

Oops! Canada did have an Islamic terror attack on a large scale... The Montreal Massacre in December 1989

I live in Mississauga where most of these cretins come from(it's a bedroom community outside of Toronto, actually a city)
I have of late been taking public transport .
$135 a week compared to $47 a week for a GTA pass convinced me.(yeah i drive a big ass pickup)

There is a large Muslim population in Mississaauga, however, these girls (yes i left out the guy thing). are for the most part pretty much aclimed to western standards.
Tight jeans,makeup,and actually very cute.
the only differentiating factor is the head scarf.

Just throwing that out there.

"Tight jeans,makeup,and actually very cute.

The tight jeans, the makeup and the fact that muslim girls may be cute do not prove that they are acclimated to Mississauga or Canada or even North America. It IS the headscarf, and what's in the head underneath it, that make them what they are.

ImNoDhimmi
Gotcha!
Like i said only throwing it there.

Oh, and thanks for the acclaimed correction

Okay!
Spell it wrong twice,you loose.

Sounds like haramfidel's Mississauga Muslims are looking forward to

That, and the fact that if you so much as smile at one there's a chance she won't live out the week.

Is there a solicitor in the house who can provide justice for this poor misguided soul?

Yeah, and evidently, they're letting them plan the missions, too...

"He went on to reveal that the Americans were planning to attack the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, adding, "That's pure airborne, man."

As if!

As if most of the diseases they would want wouldn't be in a level 3 biohazard area. What were they planning to do? Show their fake driver's
licenses as ID?

Oh, airborne...hmm...explosion? As if that wouldn't kill the diseases these retards want to loose on the world.

As if, even if they were successful, these bugs would know the difference between a Muslim and a regular person.

(Yeah, that last sounds lame, but I'm with the poster who said, on another thread, that we should stop applying Muslim labels to ourselves.)

Now that's the funniest thing I've heard all week. What a retard. Typical of young muslims these days (most anyway), they see this as some way of getting "respect". They have absolutely no idea what they are on about.

I wonder if that is because they have no real understanding of their own "religion", having been trained from birth not to think for themselves.

Let's hope he spends a LONG time in prison. Let's see how brave he is then. With any luck, by the time he comes out he'll have an arsehole like a wizards cuff.
