BAGHDAD, June 21 (KUNA) -- US forces in Iraq have detained five insurgents with connections to Iranian intelligence during a two-day raid on militia groups in Baghdad and Hilla that started on Friday.The US Army said in a statement released on Saturday that an operation carried out in Baghdad led to the arrest of an Iranian-trained militia group leader, who also held information leading to several sources from the Iranian secret intelligence....
Seperatly [sic], another raid was carried out in the city of Hilla, south of Baghdad, leading to the capture of the head of a terrorist training and assassination network.
The terrorist network is a division of the Mahdi Army and receives backing from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the Iranian Intelligence to carry out acts of violence against security forces and civilians in Iraq.
