Jemaah Islamiyah on Obama's community blogs

The Indonesian Jemaah Islamiyah is responsible for the 2002 Bali bombings, and has been designated a terrorist organization. I am sure this is not the same group, but it doesn't sound much better. This entry in Obama's Community blogs (thanks to Pamela and LGF) is so over the top -- supporting Iranian nukes, raging about the "Zionist entity," saying that Obama will fight for Muslims -- that I think it is a hoax. We shall see how things shake out now that it will be getting a little attention. Surely they will take it down -- won't they?

We are a group that supports social justice for our oppressed Muslim brothers all over the world. We support Barack Obama for President because he is sympathetic to the plight of Muslims. He is a man of integrity, who will not be bullied by the neo-cons and the zionists. He will stand up for our oppressed palestinian brothers and sisters, whose land is being illegally occupied by that evil zionist entity whose name I just hate to even write.

Welcome to Jemaah Islamiyah! My name is Fatima, and I'm thrilled to be supporting Barack Obama for President. For now, we have a man of integrity, who will fight for the rights of Muslims everywhere. Allah has blessed us with a man who will stand up to the neoconservatives and the racist zionists. I believe with all my heart that Barack Obama will stop the American occupation of Iraq. No longer will American soldiers be able to kill our women and children with impunity.

Mr. Obama will also talk to Iran's leader Mahmoud Amadinejad, whom the current chimp in the White House has treated so badly. I mean why should American and Israel be able to have nukes but not Iran? That is very unfair. Obama will right that wrong.

Furthermore, Senator Obama will take a much more rational approach in the Middle East. No longer will that zionist entity, whose name I hate to even write be able to oppress our Palestinian brothers and sisters with impunity. If anyone can stop the illegal occupation of Palestinian lands, I know it is Barack Obama!

It certainly does seem to be a hoax.

Unfortunately, it is also a completely accurate description of how those in the House of Submission feel about Senator Obama.

I don't really like McCain, but the thought of Obama in the Oval Office scares the &%#^ out of me.

Fake?...Maybe, but I don't doubt there is a muslimah named Fatima who believes these things about Barack.
Many liberal/leftists/socialists seem to think the same things. Reminds me of Al Sharpton singing the song 'Barack the Magic Negro'. Now that was funny.

I heard this weekend from a family member that a radio show reported that Obama was a moslem until her was 31 when his wife counseled him that to run office he'd have to be a Christian. Anyone heard that?

LGF exposed a "socialist" blog on Obama's site that contained antisemitic rants. After being exposed that blog was quickly removed from Obama's official website, even though the blog had been at Obama's site since April.The question is not whether Obama shares these antisemitic views. What's important to note is that antisemites apparently feel comfortable with Obama.

"Jemaah Islamiyah" reputedly means Community of muslims, or similar. That's what Indonesia told Australia when we complained about Jemaah Islamiyah being a terror group in Indonesia, bombing churches and then organising the Bali bombing. They said things like "It is meaningless and insulting to clain that Jemaah Islamiyah is a terrorist group. You are accusing all Indonesians of being terrorists" (the gist from memory, not an exact quote). This is confusion induced by the overarching claims of Abu Bakir Bashir's group to being the true community of faithful muslims.

So anyone can have their own Jemaah Islamiyah, without it even being a hoax.

Even though this is a fake, this part was amusing (or rather incredulous):

Now, I wish our men and women were not in Iraq, but the idea that it is *American soldiers* doing all the killing of women and children over there is just farcical (perhaps that was the intent). If the *Muslims* in Iraq (Iraqi Muslims and imported Muslims) would stop suicide bombing crowded civilian markets, putting explosives under the burqas of women and remote detonating them, etc, then I guarantee you the body bag count in Iraq would drop amazingly close to zero.
