My Amazon order for Battleground, and the Arab/Israel reader, were inadvertently doubled up (at no additional charge).
I took those two brand new books, along with new, spare copies of 'Because They Hate (Gabriel), and 'The Truth About Muhammad' (Spencer), to my local public library as donations for the shelves.
To make a long story short, the head librarian (although I didn't have the time to ask her why) decided to accept only the Arab/Israel reader.
It's a fine choice, but why she would not accept all of them is not merely disappointing, it also demonstrates the impact that one person's decision can have on so many others.
If someone had told me two years ago as to the present threat to freedom of speech, I'd have told that person, "You're nuts! Get ahold of yourself, and stop being paranoid."
That's actually a very powerful video. I liked the dramatic exit. That video should be shown everywhere people care about small, trivial subjects like FREE SPEECH.
Not only is there a concerted effort of stealth jihad by muslims, but there is also a concerted effort by political/social types to assist them in every way possible. There seems to be no logical explanation for this. This reminds me of the Taro card 'The Pure Fool'. Percival, merrily on his way, does not notice, or care, that he is about to step off a cliff.
We have too many 'Percival's' running the show in the west. They are aiding, and abetting the enemy.
Suppression of free speech is the pure fool in action. It is also the doorway to other concessions, or oppressions, depending on who/what it is directed at. Allowing Percival to institute hate speech/crime laws is like giving a five year old an ak47 and sending him to school.
No one in Percival's condition should be allowed to make important decisions, or carry a gun...
This is the condition of our current political consistency...armed and unstable.
McCain may help a little with the instability, Obama will make it ten time worse...Free speech is not the only thing threatened by Percival. Eventually we will have to fire him...Or crown him King...and become dhimmi's...

The police summon does not provide any details about what specific writings this is about. But the blog could be characterized as friendly, moderate, literary and ... critical about Islam

A thought occurred while I was watching the video. As the video had not sound so also the 'hate speech' concept is not based upon what is said out loud but what is thought in the head of the listener.
It is kind of like, 'Don't confuse me with the facts.' The misconceived conclusion about the truth of Islam being heard (thought) as hate. There are two things wrong with so called 'hate speech'. One is projection or assumption of what the speaker is thinking. It is impossible for anyone to know what the other is thinking. It really is a reflection of what the listener is assuming or their prejudices. The other is simple denial of the truth. Or the unwillingness to consider another POV.

'Death to America' and 'behead the infidels' is more serious and should be prosecuted not on the grounds that they are grossly offensive, but on the grounds that they incite violence or murder. This is the legal position here in England, at least until recently, as I understand.
I do love America, but any attempt to protect the feelings of Americans must be strictly outside the legal system. Nothing trumps the importance of free speech and if we ban that which offends us then we have no case for speaking words that offend others.

I don't know how old you are, but if you are young enough, it's quite possible this expressed sentiment of yours will be tested in due course, as the global stealth- and open jihad for the spread of Islamic law everywhere unfolds.

In Canada a lot of things have changed in the last 30 years. Canada now using Soviet style laws, one can go to jail if they stand near an abortion clinic with a pro-life sign or discouraging those wanting an abortion. You can also go to jail if you speak out against homosexuality. It won't be long that speaking out against radical Islam will also land you in jail. So much for our freedom of speech.Once again political correctness is robbing our rights to free speech.
What's next for offenders of "so-called" hate laws? Gulags in Canada? Gulags in the high Arctic? I can see this coming if we allow political correctness to rule our lands.

I worry in Australia we have already lost our freedom of speech. We never had constitutional support for it. That is why it is "America Alone".
