Authorities in a northern Malaysian city are calling on Muslim women not to wear bright lipstick and noisy high-heel shoes if they want to follow the "Islamic way," an official said Tuesday.The municipal council in Kota Baru, run by a conservative Islamic party, is distributing pamphlets that recommend women refrain from wearing heavy makeup, including bright lipstick, and loud high-heel shoes to work, council spokesman Azman Mohamad Daham said.
"We just distribute pamphlets. Our minimum guideline is they must wear headscarves," he said. "The rest is up to them. If they want to follow the 100 percent Islamic way, it's up to them."
He said the suggestions aim to prevent rape and protect women's dignity and morals. The campaign started in 2006, but new pamphlets are circulated each year, he said....
And we all know a woman in a burqa (or hijab, etc) has never, ever, ever been raped in the ~1400 year history of Islam. See? It is all the woman's fault. *sigh*

It sickens me that women in islam must be so self-effacing they are encouraged, and in some areas forced, to wear soft-soled shoes so as not to draw attention to themselves. Why don't all muslimas just disappear? It sometimes seems as if that's what muslim men really want.
I think that the muslim woman is in the most difficult position of all -- she must constantly pretend that she is a muslim with equal rights to muslim men, while all along knowing in her heart that she is nothing more than a slave to whichever man she happens to be beholden to (brother, father, "husband").
I would imagine that she has a constant struggle in her mind -- she knows that she is a slave, but she dare not mention it for fear of being accused of (and punished for) being "unislamic". She has to maintain this charade her whole life, until one day the brainwashing is complete, and she is, in actuality and in mind, a complete slave.
If a Western man treated a woman like a muslim man treats her, he would be put in jail (and rightly so) for cruelty, slavery, and whatever else you could think of.
Heels? Aren't they supposed to be in a jilbab head to toe, barefoot and pregnant? How dare Muslimahs wear any footwear!!!

It's only rape if there are 4 male muslim witnesses (of good character) to the rape.
Otherwise, the woman has committed adultery and should be punished.
Interesting to me was the high heels and ton of makeup the Arab women wore along with their tailored long dresseswith matching head covers on the Temple Mount, and just about everywhere in Jerusalem. They looked very chic! Left me wondering where are all the ones I see in photos in their black burka's? Perhaps I was only in the civilized parts of Jerusalem?

I tell you, I never cease to be amazed at the bravery shown by muslim men in crushing their women! It takes a real man to stand up to a woman!

Actually, the jihadist is the biggest coward of all -- he blows up a bus load of school children, or kills an old man in a wheel chair (Leon Klinghoffer - the Achile Lauro) and then hides behind his mother's skirts, because he knows that that's the one place that real men won't attack him.
Seems Kota Baru's on the same page as the Kuwaitis, who are debating whether women need to travel at all. Who needs shoes (much less high-heeled ones) when you can't leave the house?

Funny how these two practically live in the US, educate their children here, and strut around in heels, make-up, and haute couture while their SISTAS share husbands and beatings back home.
