Muslims urged to foil conspiracies against Islam

Conspiracies against Islam: bin Laden, al-Zawahri, and the other "hijackers"? Nope: conspiracies by "the enemies of Islam" designed to "weaken this religion of peace." A bit of introspection would be welcome in this context, but in this piece everyone seems preoccupied with outside enemies. Muslims must work toward the "achievement of the cherished goal of unity and reclaiming the lost glory." What lost glory, specifically?

From The Pakistan Daily, June 10 (thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist):

The enemies of Islam have always been hatching conspiracies to weaken this religion of peace, however, Muslims can foil such nefarious designs by forging unity in their ranks and sincerely abiding by the golden principles of Islam in every sphere of life.

According to a press release, this was stated by Pir Muhammad Naqib-ur-Rehman, custodian of Eidgah shrine, while addressing the concluding ceremony of three-day Eid Milad-un-Nabi (peace be upon him) celebrations at Eidgah Sharif here Monday. Thousands of devotees of Eidgah shrine from all over the country and abroad attended the concluding ceremony. Prominent religious scholars, spiritual figures, legislators, federal and provincial ministers and senior officials of local administration attended the ceremony.

“Only through unity the Muslims can thwart the plots against their faith while the unity can be forged by promoting reverence and love for the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him),” he said. “It is the need of the hour that the Muslims belonging to different schools of thought shun their petty differences for achievement of the cherished goal of unity and reclaiming the lost glory,” he added....

He needn't worry.

The American government, ably assisted by the American taxpayers who have shelled out more than two trillion dollars, is doing everything it can to prevent sectarian and ethnic strife among Muslims in Iraq. For it knows that it too must work for unity, because "only through unity" can "the Muslims" manage to "thwart the plots against their faith" and that, of course, would never do, not for Muslims, not for those American taxpayers who have chosen to pay to preserve, at all costs, the present and future unity of Iraq, and, furthermore, to pay for the present and future unity of the Camp of Islam that might be affected were that unity in Iraq not to hold.

We have geniuses conducting our policy in Iraq.

Geniuses in reverse.

Can you spell C-O-M-P-L-E-T-E P-S-Y-C-H-O-S-I-S?

M-E-G-A-L-O-M-A-N-I-A-C-A-L P-A-R-A-N-O-I-A !

M-A-L-I-G-N-A-N-T N-A-R-C-I-S-S-I-S-M !

I-S-L-A-M-I-C O-R-T-H-O-D-O-X-Y; also known as O-S-S-I-F-I-E-D I-S-L-A-M !!

"achievement of the cherished goal of unity and reclaiming the lost glory."

I feel a song coming on....

"Boy, the way Khalid ibn al-Walid fought.
Conquest that made the day.
Muslims like us, we had it made.
Those were the days!"

"And you knew who you were then.
Muslimas were muslimas and jihadist were jihadist.
Mister, we could use a man like Abdulhamid II again."

"Didn't need no infidel state.
Everybody pulled his weight.
Gee, our old Tariq ibn Ziyad slaughtered great.
Those were the days!"

Once again, we're being spoon-fed Hugh's Iraqi stew, that having Iraq descend into chaos and becoming a failed state where extremists - both Sunni and Shia - are bound to emerge calling the shots...is somehow in the interests of the anti-Jihad.

He may be right.

He may be wrong.

I-S-L-A-M-I-C R-E-G-R-E-S-S-I-O-N; also known as The Islamic Golden Age!

Just what the H* is going on in Pakistan these days? Are they just plain upset the Keepers of the Two Holy Mosques aren't paying the infidels enough $$$ to STFU already and submit?

"...the enemies of Islam"

I smell the ghost of Richard Nixon here...

And what's with this? Equating mohammed with allah?

Muhammad Naqib-ar-Rahman

I have a few [not very nice] words to say to jackass. But you know what there.

I know it's been said before, but what other "religion" constantly speaks of "plots" and "conspiracies" against the doctrine it espouses?

Nazism, Stalinism or Muhammadism?

GEE! Did I get a 100% on my own, one question quiz?

But they are not 'urged to foil Islamic terrorism'?

We keep hearing that Islamic terrorist are not Islamic.

I feel a song coming on....

it is great...

Oy, Gevalt, Mr. Great Comet 1577....your meter and rhyme, they suck most utterly. I couldn't figure out the song. Let me see if I can help you...Nope,I can't.

Boy, the way the Jizya paid!
Slaves and wives, we had it made!
Blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah
Those were the days!

And we knew who you were then!
Girls were trash, but we were men,
Sayid, we sure could use a Proph,
like Ole' Mohammed again!

Gee our old, camel ran great,
All our slaves they pulled our weight.
Blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah.
Those were the haze!

"Oy, Gevalt, Mr. Great Comet 1577....your meter and rhyme, they suck most utterly"

True.....but who said a good muslim song has to have meter and rhyme? Do historical facts and Islam go together? Does rational thinking and Islam together? Nooooooooooo!...So why should rhyme and meter be any different? You need to start thinking like a muslim....

:)

It will be fun…you will go to places that even many illegal drugs can’t take you!

"reclaiming the lost glory" is a cherished goal?

That makes them unique among religions. I suppose it means al-Andalus and everything else they figure was taken from them?

What's with unity being a goal? From their behavior it has appeared that death in the cause of Allah has been their "most cherished" goal.

It was a little harsh…

:)

How can you tell what age the girl is when all the women folk are wearing sheets over their bodies? I mean is she 9, 29, or 99? Or it could just be some male jihadist trying to hide from a predator drone over head…

Talk about gender confusion! I should e-mail D'Souza...you know he is super duper smart!

"How can you tell what age the girl is when all the women folk are wearing sheets over their bodies"

how can you tell the bag wearer is a woman?.

"the golden principles of Islam"

Wow. So deluded, the Mohammedans.

Wow. So temporarily insane, the West.

Today I bought some books for a friend who is very worried. She knows that Islam's goal is world hegemony, she knows that Mo is a false prophet, she knows that allah is a pagan moon god. She didn't know that Mo is a mass-murderer, an enslaver and rapist of women, and a pedophile. She did not know about 9-year-old Aeisha! Oh boy did her jaw drop! She thinks, like many, that Hussein Obama is indeed a secret Muslim. I definitely have suspicions. She's a Dem, but will be voting for McCain! Why? Islam and Mohammedans.

She had never been to JW, so I wrote it down, hope she comes here. Later I decided to get her some of the most pertinent books, because she didn't know about them. Here's what I got:

3 Spencer books: Truth About Muhammed, PIG Crusades, and Religion of Peace? (At Bks/A/Mil in case RS is interested in which bookstore).

Also, America Alone, Londonistan, and The West's Last Chance. Now she has a wealth of info she didn't previously know about, and I've helped out the heroic and courageous authors of these important as-all-get books. (Of course I already own all of them).

I feel good.

P.S. Comet and Jewel - your ditties cracked me up! Thanks for the chuckles!

Oh, people, I got this for me:

"WHY WE LEFT: Former Muslims SPEAK OUT"

(Hey! That sounds GOOD to me!) -Stories Compiled and Edited by Susan Crimp & Joel Richardson (2008).

Here's a little something from the inside flap:

"Contained in these brutally honest personal accounts written by former Muslims is an urgent truth that the mainstream media and cowed politicians won't admit - that far from being a "religion of peace," Islam is instead barbaric and repressive, a nightmare for those living under it..."

Uh Huh, that sounds about right. Oh, the book's got a nifty pic of Mo on the cover.

OMG - I just looked at the back cover! The first blurb is by none other than Robert Spencer! 2nd blurb by Daniel Pipes! Yeah, I definitely chose a good one! Well, g'night. Am going to go read.

people that feel that they are victims of "plots" and "conspiracies" are usually concocting "plots" and "conspiracies"

Ah yes, those nefarious plots again.

The religion of conspiracy theories.

Subjectivism
+
Underdeveloped sense of responsibility
+
Intellectual confusion
+
History of failure and frustration

=

Sense of victimhood
&
Conspiracy theories
&
Delusions of persecution
&
Delusions of grandeur

the golden principles of Islam in every sphere of life.

KILL ALL NON MUSLIMS, The list is much longer, but that one should be first.

Also, America Alone, Londonistan, and The West's Last Chance. Now she has a wealth of info she didn't previously know about, and I've helped out the heroic and courageous authors of these important as-all-get books. (Of course I already own all of them).

I own most of those. I just purchased America Alone (Steyn) and The Legacy of Jihad (Bostom). So far, America Alone is proving to be easier and more enjoyable reading. However, since I really enjoy reading history, I WILL tackle The Legacy of Jihad, which tells the untold history of Islam conquering and subjugating nation after nation, and converting these nations into "occupied territories" (where have we heard THAT phrase?).

Just one quote from The Legacy of Jihad --

In a major encycopedia, one reads phrases such as: "Islam expanded in the eighth or ninth centuries..."; "This or that country passed into Muslim hands...." But care is taken not to say how Islam expanded, how countries "passed into [Muslim] hands."

In the book, Dr. Bostom tells that untold story, which until now has been basically untold; and I'm certain that the reason it wasn't told was because, like today, they weren't allowed to speak negatively about Islam.

Destroying the heritage | Bhadhar Kali Mandar: a remarkable feat of ancient engineering fading away

Locals planning to demolish temple to construct residential quarters | Department concerned must intervene

Haroon Khalid, Mon June 9, 2008, The Post

LAHORE - An old Hindu temple of historical significance situated in the east of Thokar Niaz Beg, called the Bhadhar Kali Mandar, is facing decay and destruction. The exact date of the construction of this mandar has not been deciphered but according to the founder of Punjabi research institute, Khojgarh, Mr Iqbal Kaisar it has to be around 2000 years old. The temple has one central building, with a huge pool in the center of the main complex. The walls of the mandar had beautiful frescoes, some of which have managed to survive over the years. The stone pool was fed by 12 wells through an indigenous drainage system.

People visiting the temple to pay homage to Kali Mata, used to bathe in the pool to avoid heat. There were four fountains in each corner of the pool which supplied fresh water to it.

The building of the temple was three storied and there was a wall around the central building. There were rooms inside the temple for the priests and visitors. Inside and outside the temple there were elaborate constructions “Samadhein” for “Sadhus”, which also had frescoes. Five of these Samadhein are still partially intact. Samadhein are basically dome shaped constructions, where the cremated ashes of holy persons were kept.

The frescoes on all of these buildings use local colors, primarily orange, green and blue. The motifs are geometrical, floral and also represent birds.

This temple used to host the biggest Hindu festival in Lahore. Writers like Kanhiya Lal Hindi, Justice Abdul Latif have mentioned about this festival in detail in their researches. This festival used to take place in the month of June and attracted Sikhs, Muslims, Christians and Hindus alike. It is situated approximately 20 km from the walled city. People living between Thokar Niaz Beg and Lahore used to set up water stalls for the travelers on the way, to provide them some relief from the intense heat. Besides food stalls and people organized cultural activities like dramas, music and songs. There were also arrangements for “Bhang” and “Sharab”. These festivals were financed by different clans of Thokar Niaz Beg of which Khokar, Bhatti and Marasi were conspicuous. This temple rose to political importance during the tenure of Ranjit Singh, who built a very large temple on the eastern side of this temple. This temple was meant to be the new resting place of Kali Mata. There is also a “Baradari” constructed next to the new temple. However, the Sadhus of that time refused to commensurate the new temple because they claimed that Kali Mata had come in their dream and she had refused to go to the new temple. This temple is visible from the Multan Road. The plinth of this temple was 6 feet high from the ground and the temple rises to approximately 20-25 feet. At that time there was empty ground around the two temples. There were also three “Bolian” (wells) around the temple. Unfortunately the inhabitants of the area have completed covered this remarkable feat of engineering with rubbish.

After the partition, people from the Mewak region in India came and settled in this empty land around the temple. Their culture was totally different from the local inhabitants of Niaz Beg and they like to keep it that way even these days. These people have also now inhabited the rooms inside the old and the new temple.

The old temple was not looked after by anyone. Because of the neglect of the government and the new inhabitants of the temple, the walls of the Bhadhar Kali Mandar have become fragile. In order to ensure the safety of the people living in those rooms, the locals have decided to demolish the current ancient temple and construct quarters there, and that too without authority’s permission.

Top floor of the building has already been demolished and its ruins have been placed in the pool, which is no longer visible. The archaeological department of Pakistan needs to take action against this illegal act of the locals before it is too late.

We are so sensitive about our own places of worship but we must learn to respect places of worship of other religions also. The Hindu temples in Pakistan are part of our cultural heritage and it is our responsibility to take care of these temples to keep ourselves in touch with our history.

When archeology department office situated in the Lahore Fort was contacted, the person in the office said he was ignorant about it and told to contact the Auqaf department. Auqaf department said it was not their jurisdiction and it was a vacuum property.

ALLAHPHRENIA...

Why would anyone want to plot against the Religion of Peace? Must be those crazed Islamophobes.

This bizarre paranoia about "conspiracies" from the religion (the only one) which explodes with rage over everything from unfunny Danish cartoons to naming a teddy bear Mohammed, surely has to be one of the most revealing things about Islam.

Where is this lack of confidence in a religion which is believed so literally and so intensively, which commands wealth without parallel and is growing like a brush fire, coming from? Nothing like it, as far as I know, is ever heard from any other of the world's religions. Not the major ones, anyway. Even Falun Gong, which actually is persecuted, doesn't prate about "conspiracies".

I believe Ali Sina has a lot to say about this, so he would be someone to ask. My theory is simple: Islam cannot handle its own doubts. Its teachings are subject to a test of verification which they consistently fail. The global jihad with which Islamic history began should have taken it round the world centuries ago. Instead, like any human campaign of conquest which doesn't have a God whipping it on, the jihad ground to a halt. The unbelievers, who were supposed to fall like dominoes (and did, for a couple of centuries) defended themselves. Some of them even started conquering Muslims.

This might not have meant much if jihad was just human behaviour, but it wasn't. Jihad is doctrine in Islam, the way redemption is doctrine in Christianity. God ordered it, God made it a success. So, why did it fail? Islam has never recovered from this failure. Because of its religious nature, the failure was traumatic. To all appearances God wasn't behind the project after all. Even the believing mind finds it hard to fend off that reflection.

The other source of Muslim doubt is even more fundamental: Islam is belated. Far from being history's great revelation of the one universal God, Islam looks rather too much like what C S Lewis called it - a "simple imitation of Judaism and Christianity". Mohammed's message was nugatory, not needed. Jews and Christians had known about one universal God for many centuries, and there was no reason at all for them to fall at the feet of the new "revelation". It simply wasn't new. Again, believer or not, one cannot just dismiss the plain fact of Islam's indebtedness, its derivativeness.

Both of these factors, belatedness and the failure of the jihad, point all too clearly to the merely human origin and character of Islam. They are its bad conscience. I think they eat away at the Muslim mind, albeit not consciously, and create doubts which become fear. The fear has become a preposterous touchiness which is dangerous for the peace of the world, and a rather ridiculous obsession with "conspiracies" to undermine the faith.
