The Toledo jihadists: not exactly the Mud Hens
You would almost think that there is a group of people in the U.S. and Canada who are unified by a common ideology and are working in loose conjunction to commit violence against non-Muslim civilians and ultimately to bring down the American and Canadian governments, replacing them with Islamic law. But don't be concerned: everyone knows that Al-Qaeda is the only group with this ideology, and as Al-Qaeda implodes, the ideology is being discredited! Toledo, Ohio? Islamic jihad activity in Toledo, Ohio? Preposterous -- it is all about Iraq! Go back to sleep!

WASHINGTON (CBS News) -- An ex-commando, working undercover for the FBI, took photographs as aspiring terrorists plotted to carry out attacks against U.S. soldiers in Iraq.They trained with weapons and learned how to make suicide vests.
Only this didn't happen in Iraq, Afghanistan, or Pakistan. This training played out in Toledo, Ohio, and involved three Americans drawn to the call of Jihad, CBS News justice and homeland security correspondent Bob Orr reports.
While these radicals have now been convicted, CBS News has learned e-mails and phone calls connect the Toledo cell to terror suspects in at least three other North American cities - and to a notorious al Qaeda operative....
The Toledo trio was in frequent contact with two Chicago men who are now charged with plotting attacks of their own.
Those Chicago suspects in turn communicated with two college-age students in Atlanta, sending e-mails asking them to "come and see our preparation..." for violent Jihad.
That preparation, the government charges, was conspiring with a Canadian terror cell to bomb Toronto landmarks.
And it all connected through the Internet, and to a shadowy al Qaeda webmaster known as Irhabi 007.
When police raided 007's London flat in 2005 they found among the evidence a video showing security at the U.S. Capitol, fuel tanks and other targets in Washington. The video was shot by the Atlanta suspects.
None of these plots came close to working - all were infiltrated and busted.
But, the connections suggest there is an active network of support for homegrown radicals looking to do us harm.

On a positive note this should debunk the 'It's all a Govt. plot to erode our rights' angle I keep hearing.

YOu are an islamophobe.Just because dozens of Muslims worldwide apeal to the Quran and the Sunnah as the ideological motive behind their terrorrism against civilians doesn't mean that the ideology is bad.
It may just happen that all those muslims all over the world, and during the last 1400 years, just took the Qur'an out of context.

We have to be right 100% of the time. They have to be right only once. Americans shouldn't be too sanguine. The FBI broke up this plot and many others. There are surely more of them out there that the FBI and police everywhere know nothing about, probably in the works right now. Tomorrow we may admit the next Mohammed Atta from abroad. We just won't recognize him until after he's killed Americans.

This reminds me of those reports from Europe where the would-be jihadists are described as a Turk, an Algerian, a Somali and a couple of Dutch lads. In many cases these designations are a quirk of easily obtained citizenship, and little else.
One would think that Mazloum, Amawl, and El-Hindi just woke up one morning and realized that they were pretty bored with paintball, HipHop, and Xbox, and went lookin' for some jihad training instead.

Genuine "homegrown radicalism" is a concern. In a lot of cases, though, I think the radical jihad ideology isn't so much "homegrown" as brought in fully formed by Muslim immigrants.
These guys, salamis themselves, could advertise salamis.
Or corsets for women.
Thus be the governing body for the Taliban advertising and public relations agency.
But really not savvy enough to be capitalists, although one does look like John D, Rockerfeller.

Very Interesting thing happened on the YouTube Weather Burka page you linked to.
I made a short comment, 'time to ban Muslim immigration?'. It lasted 2 minutes before being deleted. So I typed in the same message again in French. It lasted 2 minutes before being deleted.
I'm wondering if moonbats/muslims working for YT are proactively watching for referrals from the likes of JW, LGF etc. and pouncing on them?
Try it for yourselves.
