ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) -- A massive blast targeting the Danish Embassy in Pakistan Monday killed at least six people and wounded more than a dozen, authorities said.The scene of devastation in Islamabad Monday after a suicide car bomb attack near the Danish Embassy.
Confusion lingered about the extent of the casualties hours after the blast in the capital city of Islamabad.
Police at the scene said a suicide car bomber pulled up next to the embassy about 1 p.m. and detonated explosives. But Senior Superintendent of Police Ahmad Latif told CNN that authorities could not immediately label it a suicide attack.
Likewise, a medical personnel told CNN that the explosion killed eight people, including a young child and at least one foreign national.
But Latif put the number of fatalities at six and said none of the dead were foreigners. Among the wounded, he said, was a Brazilian citizen of Pakistani descent.
Authorities differed on the number of wounded as well, with figures ranging from five to 18. No embassy official was seriously hurt, Latif said....

It does say "Kill and be killed" in the Qur'an. Anyway the jihadis can killed themselves first and then try to bomb the Danish embassy? Now that would be impressive.

You know, that's true. Even though the guy had a car full of explosives, and he blew up the car and himself, in front of the hated Danish embassy, we can't classify it as a suicide attack.
Actually, the proper phrase is homicide attack. So it's true, we can't classify this as a suicide attack, but rather a homicide attack. Evidently that's what the Police Chief meant to say.
If it wasn't so tragic, it would actually be funny: Geert Wilders makes a documentary demonstrating that Islam is a violent religion. Then, to prove that Islam is actually a "religion of peace", muslims worldwide kill people and blow things up.
I'm convinced -- Islam really is a religion of "piece" -- a piece of flesh here, a piece of a building there, a piece of a car over here......
And that was only because of a few cartoons, which were not even very offensive. It is unbelievable that so many people still think we can coexist with this barbaric religion. Enough of this nonsense about a moderate Islam!

CNN was told the authorities couldn't label this a suicide attack. That's because it wasn't. It was JIHAD.
Then there's the outcome similar to the bombings of the American embassies in Africa. There, almost everyone killed was African. Here, once again, they're native-born. No Western country attacked Pakistan. You did it all by yourselves.
Go ahead. Blow up your own countries. Few people in the West will shed a tear. I'll maintain my own silence (and keep my checkbook closed) when Muslims are "victims" because helping Muslims anywhere in the world has proven fruitless. The overwhelming majority of tsunami victims were Muslims.
Canada's ambassador to Afghanistan said this morning that Afghans want the Western forces to remain. Let's see what they do to help them. Will they fight al Qaeda or will they join it? We're likely to have it beaten into us once again that no good deed goes unpunished.
It had to happen. Thinking about it, it stikes me as a miracle that the Danes haven't been attacked like this before. They've lost their virginity now...

I have a hydrogen assist device, that I built, ready to install in a 1993 Honda today. This is an seven plate hydrogen generator enclosed in a 5"x9" sealed
container. Everything was constructed very carefully. There is little chance for any explosions except where I want them. Even then I have installed safety devices.
Besides that, cars have plenty of fires and explosions without hydrogens help. I think the risk is increased, but not enough to prevent the effort...

How can it be that in the 21st century the world is fighting a war with a bunch of nut jobs over their inane superstitions. I try to be Christian myself, but I stop it at talking with my friends. I see no reason to force others to listen to what is obviously silly childish legends and fears. As I say, I try to be a good person, but when I really sit and think about it, it is just my choice to live that way and I realize that all religions are simply archaic remnants of a time when people needed an explanation for that which they didn't understand. Why are we, as the rest of the world putting up with these cavemen? (my apologies to the guys in the Geico commercials) I would laugh, if it didn't make me cry. I'm sorry for the Danes, but in many ways, as with the rest of the Western world it's their own fault. The Danes pretend, just like all Western governments pretend. They pretend that there's nothing wrong with Islam and Islamic societies. They pretend that Islam is a good and noble religion that it's been hyjacked by a few misguided radicals that don't understand the peaceful and noble character of their own faith. If only they understood the true Islam, all the terrorism, suicide bombings and oppression would stop.
In the meantime, the Danes, along with the rest of us, continue importing millions more Muslims in our countries -- all predicated on the hail-brained ideas above, all rooted in the fiction that multiculturalism and diversity are the answers to all problems.
We are our own worse enemies.

It is indeed preposterous & pathetic that the press calls these attacks "suicide" attacks as if the murderer who dies is more important than anyone injured or killed! Any time the press reports a "suicide" homicide as a "suicide bomber" it has actually sided with the enemy. It despicably fails to show as newsworthy that people have been maimed killed or murdered focusing instead on the perpetrator and somewhat sanitizing it! These muslim homicide bombers have no regard for others. The press is accomplice in how it reports their activities.
After this bomb outrage in the name of Islam - it wouldnt surprise me that our government(UK), will impose a ban on cartoons that deal with Islam. But as this would be divisive and discriminatory, so there will be a general ban on cartoons. The most anodyne ones may be permitted but with an official government health warning, that it may cause someone to blowup in the presence of others.
As for suicide - generally suicide is a lonely affair. A "suicide bomber" should thus blow himself up in privacy. The Muslim suicide bomber is completely different - his is a very public act, in front and among the general public.
I keep wondering: what kind of people allow and enable these imitators of Muhammad - these people afflicted with narcissistic personality disorder? Could it be that our State Department and Department of Homeland Security are filled with people who suffer from co-dependency?

The fault lies not with Islam, Muslims or our stars, but it is within us. Our fault for allowing in millions of Muslims into the unprotected Western heart. If we now suffer, then Muslims can legitametely claim that their goals and methods, as well their motives for same, have been clearly and publicly defined for 1400 years. This attack took place in Pakistan, not Denmark. We could have zero Muslim immigration to the West and it wouldn't prevent attacks like this from happening in Muslim countries.
What is needed is for Western nations to demand secure facilities as a precondition for putting their embassies in a Muslim country.

Not really. For the first ten centuries or so the non-Muslim world was in a subordinate position. Muslims sat at the center of the known world. Non-Muslims occupied the periphery. They weren't "tolerating" Muslims so much as struggling to survive despite Islamic tyranny.

The only moral and sane response to this barbaric and cowardly behaviour is to produce more of these cartoons. In fact, whole comic books of them should be produced featuring the darkly humorous exploits of a mad 7th Century prophet; they could become as popular as Japanese mannnga comics.

That was then. This is now. It isn't a question of numbers. The US has a pittance of the world's population but Americans wield power that goes beyond their numbers.
The majority can be subdued by a determined and ruthless minority. Witness Communism.
How can you say most of Africa wasn't Islamized? Islam spread beyond the borders of the Mediterranean and south of the Sahara.
Russia has pockets of Islam - such as Chechnya.
Unconquered Europe wasn't all that large. The Muslims reached the Gates of Vienna. They penetrated France before being turned back. They ruled Spain for centuries. Then, in the wake of WWII, Europeans invited Muslims to immigrate, despite Europe's own bitter experience with Islam. Muslims of Eastern Europe, in the former Yugoslavia, were kept on a tight leash by Communism. Once Yugoslavia broke up, they were free to resume the jihad.
For most of its existence, the Muslim world had three things going for it: location, location and location. In the beginning, it sat astride the major trade routes. It occupied the center of the known world. Then it took over huge population centers. (Byzantine Christians were once a majority but they too were destroyed by a ruthless Islamic minority.) Today it sits atop huge oil reserves. It's better to be lucky than good.
