Or how about Odinga in Kenya, he needs cash. As do all those poor muslims in Kenya.
Lots of money and sweet talk, that will fix it.

Once again, the wise, enlightened Democratic leadership knows better than the combined faculties of al-Azhar and Qom what the true content of Islamic doctrine and jurisprudence is. Once again the Democrats propose to police peoples consciences from the outside because, after all, Democrat pundits have all reason and historical knowledge on their side. Once again, they believe they are truly in the know about what the other fellow wants. Once again, they're going to take the American people for a foreign policy ride.

Obama has been declared the winner by the press many months before the election. Essentially it's the celebrity nature of modern (mainly American) politics; The elections in the US are treated like a reality show and the shallow masses of that country and some parts of the western worlds population follow the (s)elected leaders like sheeple.

Most peopel who cheer him don't have a clue about his policies apart from the fact that he promises that he will be different from Bush (which he probably wont on many issues, but that's another story). It's no wonder the McCain supporters are talking about the medias loveaffair with Obama, who in some situations is treated like a rockstar.

Anyway, there isn't any fundamental difference (I think) between BO and JM with regards to Islam. They are both globalists and professional politicians. Nothing will be done to stem the tide of muslim immigration to Europe and the US.

Obama is a citizen of the global village, first and foremost. Every single word of every single speech he has made during the "European Obamalooza" has been about his globalist agenda: "shared sacrifice and shared commitment..." At the US taxpayer's expense.

To the modern liberal leftist, walls are pernicious structures that keep people apart from each other. When Reagen said tear down this wall, he meant one wall, one specific wall, that was built in the middle of Berlin.

an interesting fact about walls and railings and other such things is this, when children at schools have the playground that they take recess fenced in, the children go all the way out to the limits. when playgrounds are left open children tend to amass in the middle furthest from the outside world.

When ancient conquerors took a city, they often tore down the walls of that city to make defence of it harder.

I do not think Obama considered that, but instead had the more saccharine symbol of walls keeping people apart, and if the walls were all down people would become friendly with each other and realize that we are all the same and then would share and share alike and everybody would be happier.

Such delusions are impossible to refute with logic, since logic has nothing to do with their adoption, or to demonstrate through experience how the idea fails time after time, since such ideas are emotionally driven and emotions are often based more on wishes than on realities.

I'm worried that Obama is trying to ride on public support, not skill or knowledge, nor clear philosophical principles. That might lead him down a route we in Europe know only too well: Fascism. Fascist leaders use the praise of the crowds to elevate themselves to positions they're nowhere near qualified to hold. In due time, the real-world challenges and their inept responses create disasters that history books are made of.

I hope Obama will step down a bit and get to work on reading, understanding and analyzing before speaking up in meaningless generalities. He's done enough crowd-surfing for the coming half a year, at least.

There is something about "unification" and the destruction of distinctions and differences - in and of themselves, regardless of context - that's very exciting for these people.

Distinctions and separations are always viewed with some discomfort.

But their ideas are never envisioned or considered in detail past the alleged wonderfulness of "unification".

So if you ask them whether it is so nice to unify the inmates of a prison with the surrounding community they sort of stare at you in confusion.
