Cotabato City (AsiaNews) – Armed men stopped a mini-bus and murdered four Christian male passengers execution-style in Mindanao yesterday, while a fifth passenger is still missing.
According to police, the murder took place in an area considered a bastion of rebels from the Moro Islamic Front, where criminal episodes of this nature have occurred in the past. Security officials failed to confirm is if the assassination was of a confessional nature or whether the Muslim militants were responsible. The bus was carrying about 15 people when it was stopped near Malabang, Lanao del Sur, an area under MILF control. The passengers were robbed but the women were allowed to leave unharmed; then four of the five men were dragged into a forest and shot in the head at close range, the fifth abducted.

Villages will be able to decide by popular referendum whether to join the ARMM, but the deputy governor of North Nord Cotabato has underlined the uselessness of the vote because of “threats and vote rigging aimed at forcing the villagers to vote for annexation.”...

Now why does that not surprise me. What else could be reason? We need to get rid of this freedom fighter BS that is always assigned to these guys. The are part of the global army of Mohammedans with only one purpose to bring about the rule of Islam. Unlike us they do not see nation states but only see the world as Dar al Islam and Dar al Harb. We should fight them with that paradigm in mind.

I can see muslim terrorist succeeding in alot of countries, but I am surprised that the citizens have not gotten serious and taking matters into their own hands in the Phillipines.
The goverment is not serious about protecting it's citizens. How many more will die before the citizens get serious?

They'll give you the same answer, the only answer they can come up with: American foreign policy. Our presence in Iraq, our support for Israel, for the Saudis, for Musharraf et al is proof that America is in a war against Islam and must be resisted anywhere and everywhere. It won't even matter that American soldiers never set foot in such areas as Chechnya. Anyone who works with us anywhere in the world is a threat to Islam.
George W. Bush tried to use Islam's strategy against it and the world protested.
Islam's credo: if you're not with us, you're against us.
It's long past time we adopted the same motto, without apology. No neutral parties accepted.
Contrast this with a Muslim country (which will remain unnamed), that now has Muslim VIPs sending their children to a Christian school, and seeing changes in their Muslim children's behavior:

What gets me about this is that it is so dismally predictable; and you don't need to learn very much, in order to predict it.
I have read the Qur'an (taking note of its implacable hostility toward non-Muslims and counsel NEVER to permanently befriend them) and bits of the Sira and Hadith (same deal). I've read Spencer's 'The Truth About Muhammad' and 'PIG to Islam and the Crusades', and Mr Fitzgerald's masterly one-paragraph summary of the significance of the Treaty of Hudaybiyya, and Nonie Darwish on the permissibility, in Islam, of lying to advance Islam, in time of war.
And just from that, I - a middle-aged Christian housewife with no formal expertise in diplomacy and politics, and with very little detailed knowledge of either Filipino culture or of the history in Mindanao - the moment I read the breathless reports in the ABC on this latest 'agreement' between the non-Muslim Filipino government and the Muslims in Mindanao, could predict with absolute certainty that the Muslims would not be in the least satisfied with what they had got, and that they would renege on the agreement and start attacking again, probably sooner rather than later.
Just as I can predict, confidently, that the local Arab Muslims simply will not keep any promises made, truces/ ceasefires declared or agreements signed, with the Jewish state of Israel; that the Muslims in the south of Thailand will make sham temporary deals with the Buddhist-majority Thai government, pocket any advantage gained thereby, and go right on attacking not only Thai soldiers but also monks, schoolteachers and other innocent Buddhist civilians ; and that the Pakistani and local Muslims, regardless of what India gives them and regardless of what 'treaties' or 'truces' or 'ceasefires' are dickered over, will continue attacking India and Indians.
Now if *I* can make this prediction, after a trifling effort to obtain the necessary knowledge - *why* do our kafir politicians and diplomats and generals seem not to be able to acquire that necessary - indeed, civilisation-saving - knowledge?

Either that, or more likely it is a case of "We have so many Jihadists willing to self-detonate or fly infidel planes into infidel skyscrapers in infidel cities in infidel countries that we can afford to have our kids taught by infidels, in the belief that first they will grow up, then once they leave those infidel schools, have Jihad instilled into them, and be conditioned into encouraging others to wage Jihad when they eventually replace us as the ruling elite, and so on".
It can't be long before that Christian school will be bombed (with or without the children inside) as a danger to Islam.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
When ignorance is bliss, tis folly to be wise.
Our leaders won't acquire this knowledge because it would require them to act. They would have to make uncomfortable pronouncements about Islam and take unpopular stances and that just doesn't sit right with them. Better to keep kicking the can down the road and hope against hope that nothing else bad happens on their watch.
They're more comfortable with the "religion of peace" canard. Peaceful coexistence is all they know.
