Eurabia Alert. "Spanish police arrest Islamic terror suspect in Azkoitia," from EiTB24, July 1:
Spanish police say they have broken up an al-Qaida-linked cell and arrested three people, including one person in the Basque town of Azkoitia.
The Interior Ministry says the three men of Algerian origin are accused of fundraising for Islamic terrorist activities.
The ministry says in a statement the suspects were arrested Tuesday in southern Huelva province and in the Basque country. It says there is no evidence the suspects were preparing an imminent attack.
The statement says the arrests were made in collaboration with British authorities. It says these officials knew of the suspects because they had links with other suspected extremists in Britain.
Spain says that since the March 11, 2004 terror attacks in Madrid police have arrested more than 300 Islamic terror suspects.
Good news. Arrests are but the first chapter. Now let's see what the Spanish justice system does. Police have arrested more than 300 terror suspects since 2004? What became of them?
>>Spain says that since the March 11, 2004 terror attacks in Madrid police have arrested more than 300 Islamic terror suspects.
Wow, the article says "Islamic terror suspects," not just "terror suspects."
I'm impressed. I guess Spain isn't afraid to name the enemy. Like us.

From above: It says there is no evidence the suspects were preparing an imminent attack.
What a dunce. You are already under attack. If these jihadi's were raising funds for Al-Qaeda, what do the authorities think they will do with the money?
A mosque social and picnic? Fund raising for attack, is attack. Using the word 'imminent' is deliberately misleading, what does 'imminent' mean to Al-Qaeda?
It means, 'the attack will 'continue' on our time table kufr, not yours'...
It says there is no evidence the suspects were preparing an imminent attack.

duh_swami,
Looks like they'll be released in a day or so. Not enough evidence to hold them. They've served their purpose - good PR for Spain.
It might be a silly question but the Spanish used to shoot to Kill ETA terrorists first, and then ask questions later, that was if there was anybody to question. I would have thought that that would have been a better tactic against this lot of loons, than just arresting them.
Because we get so little and it is all so filtered from the MSM. Does someone on this thread have additional info about these 300 enemy. Maybe someone in Spain who posts or reads JW.
We need to share every bit of info (pro-con).
