It's official: recent Chinese attacks were prompted by jihad fi sabil Allah: Terror bombing was 'Muslim jihad,'" by Malcolm Moore, for the Telegraph, August 5:
The Chinese government has said the bombing which killed 16 policemen in Kashgar was a premeditated jihad and promised an iron-fisted response to terrorists."We found papers on one of the suspects saying that their religious beliefs are more important than their lives, the prosperity of their families and even the well-being of their mothers. They were trying to perform a jihad," said Shi Dagang, the Communist party secretary of Kashgar.
The two men were named as Abdul Rahman, 28, and Rabangar Amint, 33, both from Kashgar. Mr Dagang said one was a taxi driver, the other was a hawker.
The two men drove a lorry into a troop of policemen that were on a morning jog outside the Yi Jin hotel. After the lorry overturned, the men threw homemade grenades at the policemen before stabbing them with knives, Mr Dagang said.
"One of the men lost his arm in the explosion. The other is already on trial. We recovered nine grenades, two long knives, two daggers and a gun."
He vowed that there would be a "severe and continuous crackdown" on future attacks, which he said were being instigated by foreign terror groups.
How will the mainstream media handle this ?
Will there be more denial, more papering over of the islamic intifada ?
At some point even the most stupid leftist Democrat or university professor has to see what is happening without just wringing their hands and imploringly bleating "It's our fault".
Wakey wakey.
One thing that a communist dictatorship knows how to do is to slap down anyone who doesn't believe as they do. This time they slap our enemy, the next time they slap our friend.
Evidently Evil Bush and the Evil USA had something to do with that police jog in China.
Or else we must have said something insulting about Muhammy. It doesn't take much with that bunch.
But rest assured, Obama will extend a loving hand to them, and all will be well.
"He vowed that there would be a "severe and continuous crackdown" on future attacks, which he said were being instigated by foreign terror groups."
I wonder if AQ has offered China a bribe yet?
'Please don't attack us. Please accept this gift'
""We found papers on one of the suspects saying that their religious beliefs are more important than their lives, the prosperity of their families and even the well-being of their mothers. They were trying to perform a jihad," said Shi Dagang, the Communist party secretary of Kashgar."
I find the above ironic since the muslims will wail and whine that they are the victims when the Chinese look at them too harshly. The world will take up the cause of the muslims because they wail and whine the loudest - as they always do.
I am getting so sick and tired of muslims wailing and whining.
I can imagine the savages sitting in their caves muttering:
Ahmed: Ruh-ro, we really stepped in it this time.
Ibn: Big time. Whose idea was this anyway?
Next, watch China use this as a pretext to beat up on unregistered Christians, Falun Dafa, and other religious minorities who don't roll over and play dead for the glorious Communist Party. As far as I'm concerned, Communist parties and radical Islam deserve each other.
I liked this comment from the Chinese:
"We found papers on one of the suspects saying that their religious beliefs are more important than their lives, the prosperity of their families and even the well-being of their mothers."
The prosperity of their families!!
Even the well-being of their mothers!!
Yup, I would say the Chinese have the Jihadis' number, wouldn't you?
Where Italy leads?
I don't think anyone is under any illusions – apart from the British media - as to why Berlusconi has put 3,000 armed troops on the streets of major Italian cities.
Ostensibly a measure to "help cut down crime", something claimed by both interior minister Roberto Maroni and his defence colleague Ignazio La Russo, this is nothing more than a fig-leaf, the Italians themselves being very well aware that most of the crime in Italy is Mafia-related, which will be untouched by this "crack-down".
If for "crime", however, you read "immigrants" – and in particular, the Roma – then the agenda becomes clearer, as does the timescale.
http://eureferendum.blogspot.com/2008/08/where-italy-leads.html
Read it all. Though the EU blog points out that immigrants ie Roma immigrants (EU citizens), many of whom are Italian citizens, are the initial targets, I believe the net is much wider. If one ponders that an Islamic religious centre in Northern Italy was bulldozed, and then named the Orianna Fallachi square, it gives an inkling on the wider intent.
In the comments section of eureferendum.blogspot.com there is a link to an interview today of Geert Wilders on BBC R4.
Many people do not realize how long China has been dealing with Islamic invasion. Muslims have been eating away at the western regions of China for centuries.
Not even a massive empire like China can withstand the encroachment of muslims spreading Islam. Slowly but surely, the muslims will take over even China.

IN YOUR DREAMS!

Not even that much.
MSNBC headline was "foreign agitators"
AP (seen in MSNBC and other coverage):
Sixteen officers were killed and another 16 were injured when two assailants rammed a dump truck and hurled explosives at a group of jogging policemen in Kashgar.
The two suspects arrested were Uighurs, a mainly Muslim ethnic minority group that has waged a sporadically violent rebellion against Chinese rule.
The above two sentences are "out of context".
"mainly Muslim" implies the attackers were not necessarily Muslim, IMO.

R_not,
Agree about the Muslim whining. They'll go ballistic if you unintentionally kill one of their children ("innocent children" died in the effort to get Zawahiri) but they teach their children to kill and they send them into war and they have no compunction about killing OUR children, but here are they are saying their religion matters more than their lives. Make a choice, Muslims.
It's not whining. It's a ploy, a tool of war.
I'm guessing they'll do nothing more than seal the Uyghurian borders and gather intelligence for the time being. After the Olympics are over, and the Western press has gone home, there will be a settling of accounts with the mahometans.
China may have the political backbone to get down and dirty in dealing with terrorists, but the real question is do they have the capabilities. Do they have a group such as Spetsnaz that is capable of deployment and ruthlessness. I don't believe so. Of course I could be wrong, but we will never know because whether or not China does anything will never be "leaked." I contend that the relative Soviet immunity to terrorism was as much a result as their rather ruthless culture, what a strange dichotomy Russia is, rather than their governmental system. So the question remains, does China have the ability to do so. We know they crack down on their own citizens, but can they do the same across the world?
Go get them China, then the rest of us will see what we have to do to take care of the problem.
But wait! Obama will sit down with the terrorists and have a talk with them and all will be better.
Kevin, agree with you about the Russian special forces. They are still sorting out allah's serpents in Chechnya, and we hear only the occasional whining from a fellow traveler in the Bandar Beacon. Trouble is, after the Beslan atrocities, it's getting harder to find anyone who gives a rat's ass.
Too bad we have that pesky law about the prez having to be born in the US. Kashgar would have worked just fine giben the current enemy.
Look out for this man, and hope that someday soon, he'll succeed Hu Jintao.
Clearly, we live in "interesting times".
I still think that China's preferred solution would be to re-direct the TIP's energies against the West in some way, probably in Afghanistan, or perhaps against Russia's remaining interests in Central Asia.
Destroying a group like the TIP, potentially useful and disposable mercenaries, would probably be considered wasteful and be avoided until really necessary. If we are now close to that point, it will be interesting to see how the wider Jihad deals with the shockwave that will follow.
If the wider Jihad decides to declare openly against China, how long will China be able to ignore it ? Will China cut a deal to our disadvantage, or just decide to clean up the mess which we seem unable to deal with ?
Is it time to give a big welcome to "the Chinese century" ?
I have always wondered about Beslan. Was it just bad on-site intel, or were they just being calloused towards the children for political reasons? I don't know.
My money's on China if it comes down to Islamists against them. Sheer numbers tell me they would over-run the islamofacists and their territories if pressed. Just look what they do to the Falun Gong. They are very capable.
Intel on-site could have been better. Locals created a stir that forced Russian forces to enter sooner than they'd planned.
The Islamists inside had probably planned on slaughtering as many innocents as they could and then commiting suicide.
Russians advise forces in a similar situation to respond with overwhelming, violent force ASAP, worrying about friendly-fire deaths later.
Hope it never comes to that here... but it will.
It is unseemly of you Kepha, to consistently express glee over the jihadist atrocities against the Chinese people and even occasionally suggesting that we aid jihad against China. And you lump Cristians, Buddhists and Falun Gong together with Muslims as "victims" of China. Falun Gong is a cult, a rather deranged one, on par with the Cool-Aid drinkers. In January 2005, a woman cultist, acting on "spiritual leaders'" orders set herself & her little daughter on fire in Tiananmen. The woman died, but the little girl lived in agony for a few more days, constantly screaming in pain, crying "Mommie fooled me", saying that her mother assured her that fire won't hurt, that it will only make her warm, and that then they will go together to Nirwana. You are far from alone. A large crowd of assorted influential China- and Russia-haters - who are mostly the same people - and neoliberals-neocons, and the CIA, and the US State Dept. sociopaths, and a miriad of NGO vermin who are run by them, who are not genuine Non-Governmental Organizations, but rather should be called Neo-Governmental or Near-Governmental, are devoted to Cantacuzening the Global Jihad toward Russia and China. They don't learn from their earlier Cantacuzening in Afghanistan, or from the fate of the Byzantine Empire, the home country of John VI Cantacuzenus. If the US, Russia and China get locked into the vicious cycle of mutual Cantacuzening, all 3 will lose, with the US being the biggest loser.
Kevin, you are wondering about Beslan. There were reports by Russian officials and media at the time that right before the atrocity, a state-of-the art spying technology available only to the US was installed in the Alpine Georgian border village of Kazbegi overlooking the plain where Beslan is located. They speculate that the US knew about the attack in advance. Given the all-out Cantacuzening by the US, it is easy to believe. Indeed, jihad leader Basayev who order the attack, later said he wanted "the repeat of Budennovsk", his 1995 mass-hotage taking that lead to Russia's humiliating defeat in the First Chechen war. I have no doubt it was also the fervent hope of the fascinated American "spectators" up the vally, passionatelly dreaming of the hated Putin's defeat. Indeed, 3 months later, in Dec. 2004, there was a Washington Post column by neoliberal Richard Holbrooke, a pathological Russia-hater and a crucifier of Serbia. With unseemly glee, he wrote that 2004 has been "an annum horiblis" for Putin, citing the US-funded anti-Russian "color revolutions" in Georgia and Ukraine, and, yes, the Beslan atrocity.
And, speaking of Georgia, the US is apparently aiding Georgia in inevitable attack on separatists.
Now the 24 million dollar question is. What does western China have anything to do with Palesine?
He vowed that there would be a "severe and continuous crackdown" on future attacks, which he said were being instigated by foreign terror groups.
When China responds to internal attacks it doesnt tie its hands. By now several thousand people have been arrested. What their treatment will be in the prison is not good to imagine. But all this is merely a foretaste of what is to come for Muslims in Western China. Once the Olympics are over, and the foreign news media has packed its bags and gone, then the show will start. We will not even know what is going on.
And when it does happen here, it'll go like this:
* The terrorists will be more cruel and vicious than those at Beslan, to prove they're holier warriors than those who went before.
* But, enlightened US police administration will move too slowly, trying to not "over-react" like they'll say the Russians did.
* The combination of each group trying to do a
"better" job than their counter-parts from '04 will lead to a worse bloodbath than either can imagine, worse than any of us can imagine.

History of Jihad is an excellent site.
To gain a glimpse into the history of Jihad against China, please visit. You will find that China is, in the grand scheme of things, losing to Islam. Just like we all are.

Until we discover what it is we fight, we will continue to lose to Islam.

Not a thing. It's like al-Andaluz. Once-Muslim territory that is now controlled by (horror!) non-Muslims. To make it worse, they're not even people of the book. They're ATHEISTS. Muslims being ruled by ATHEISTS. Allah must be reeling.
Dear Enraged: I am not "gleeful" about jihadi attacks in CHina. I simply do not think CHina's problems in its far west are our fight; and I do not regard Communist China--the great friend of the Sudanese government and the Falastin terrorists--to be a real ally in the war on terrorism. Indeed, Chinese documents seem rather gleeful when the USA is in trouble with the Islamic world. Also, I have a strong suspicion that, like Saudi Arabia on al-Qaeda, Beijing is playing a double game with us on North Korea.
Further, I know from my own years in China that the Chinese COmmunist authorities tend to be really, really nasty with unregistered Christian groups when they think they can get away with it.
CHalk it up to my being a First Amendment American. I have no love for the Islamic jihad, but the Islamic world has a track record on turning in on itself in quite a hurry when its jihadist heart gets a flare-up. We don't need an intercivilizational war.
Notice these words from the article:
'their religious beliefs are more important than their lives, the prosperity of their families and even the well-being of their mothers."
Communist party member Mr Shi Dagang may be: but at bottom he is Chinese to the bone. I am quite, quite sure that the very concept that someone *could not care* about 'the prosperity of their families' would be deeply shocking.
IF these *were* jihadists - and we know enough about Islam, for it to be quite believable - and if these *were* their sentiments as expressed in actual papers found upon them (and again: although I would not put it past the Chinese to 'plant' evidence, the ideas involved are quintessentially Islamic, indeed, they are impeccably Quranic) then I can imagine the Chinese reaction to this exposure of the Muslim mindset being (as Chinese, not as communists) exactly that of A Carlebach who wrote, in Ma'ariv in 1955, concerning Muslims' " blasphemous disregard for all that is sacred to the civilized world".
In Old China the family, the prosperity and honour of the family (and we are talking of a concept of 'honour' that is NOT the Arab Muslim concept!) was sacred.
The Communists qua communists view the Muslims purely as political rivals: one totalitarian imperial system vs another. But Islam threatens not simply the power of the Party, but everything that ordinary Chinese people have ever created, enjoyed, and valued.
kepha - let us both pray most fervently for the liberation of China from every kind of bondage, both from communism and from the even more complete bondage that the jihadists would impose.
AT this point, I don't care if China attacks any Muslims, and watch the PC people that they are violating human rights....of pedofiles and murders.....Who started the war......
"We found papers on one of the suspects saying that their religious beliefs are more important than their lives, the prosperity of their families and even the well-being of their mothers. They were trying to perform a jihad," said Shi Dagang, the Communist party secretary of Kashgar.
And still Western leftists continue to parrot 'poverty' as the cause of Jihad.
