"If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him." -- Muhammad
"Somali Christian martyred," by Charlie Butts for OneNewsNow, August 3 (thanks to Cindy):
A Somali Christian has paid the ultimate price for his faith.Hussein, the 28-year-old victim, had converted from the Muslim faith to Christianity. Jonathan Racho of International Christian Concern says he was confronted by Islamic extremists who demanded to know if he faces Mecca when he prays, which is required of Muslims.
"Hussein says he doesn't face Mecca when he prays because his God is omnipresent and he can face anywhere to pray," Racho recounts the incident. "[T]he extremists were very much enraged by his comments, and they killed him."
Upon learning that her husband had been shot to death, Hussein's wife went into premature labor and delivered a stillborn baby....

How Karadzic stirred global Islamic terror

This really takes the cake. Words fail to describe the sheer idiocy and ignorance of the writer.
Christians remain the most oppressed religion, yet we hear the constant babbling and rage from muslims who go around killing, rapeing, torturing as they complain about being oppressed. how the world is upside down.
Americans are not likely to pay much attention to this story, if they hear it at all. Why bother?
Somalia has been a basket case for over a decade.
We have no control over what happens in Somalia. When people here are losing their homes, they have no time to worry about a man shot by a Muslim mob. It's not likely the MSM would point out that the man was shot for leaving Islam for Christianity. If they did, too many people will yawn and say: so what else is new?
Maybe someone can ask Barack Obama his reaction to this story. I'd LOVE to hear it.

Went back a short time later.
All the comments have been wiped and I am unable to leave another!!
He received such a severe mauling that his keepers are now gathered in a protective circle.
The best way to expose a fool is to let them have their say.
Did anyone get a screenshot of the page before the comments went down the memory hole?
This sounds like a Faith Promoting Rumor. There's no way to verify what happened. We just have to believe Jonathan Racho's account, which seems a little muddled, and then it's topped off with another tragic event (such as the stillborn birth). Tuggin' at those heartstrings...
I might believe what you say antishock8, but for the fact that most Christian churches have ignored, and continue to ignore the plight of their fellow Christians in the rest of the world. The fact that these atrocities are coming to light isn't because of the press or the Christian news media. It is because of the internet. Many news stories never make it into the press until much later, only after it has been blogged and analyzed and blogged some more. Whether or not this particular story is true remains to be seen, but there is now a means to find out, and that is the internet.
Here...take for example, the fact that Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham, has preached in North Korea. Where is the media coverage on what is clearly a newsworthy story? Nil. Yet here it is in the etherzone.
When mohammed was weak he preached tolerance. When he perceived himself as strong, he preached intolerance and violence. Please tell me that there is more that one conclusion one can draw about how to make muslims tolerant in light of this historical fact.
Antishock8: You must have incredible respect for Christians to think that such a cold-blooded murder would be "faith-inspiring." Frankly I find it frightening and am wondering what I would have done in this man's place.
It is a lot more likely to think this is a real act on the part of Muslims designed to intimidate Christians than to think it is a story fabricated by Christians in order to inspire fellow Christians.
""Hussein says he doesn't face Mecca when he prays because his God is omnipresent and he can face anywhere.."
Hats off to him. I'm not religious but I have to say that this man died a brave poetic death.
Add his name to the list of Confessors, Saints and Martyrs...of Somalia.
For further information on the long and honorable list of martyrs from all periods between the 7th and 20th centuries who upon leaving Islam for Christianity have suffered for their faith, see Samuel Zwemer, "The Law of Apostasy in Islam".

I suggest that all Christians here share this link - the Zwemer book online - with their parish priests and church leaders.
