August 28, 2008, 09:54 AM — WebWereld Netherlands — A 'hacktivist' has hijacked numerous Dutch sites in retaliation for the anti-Islamic short film "Fitna" which was made and released earlier this year by the Dutch right-wing politician Geert Wilders.Over the last six weeks an activist hacker by the name of 'nEt^DeViL' has hacked many Dutch Web sites and posted ideological statements on their home pages. Such an attack is known as a website defacement.
The hacked sites feature an embedded YouTube video dubbed "Anti-Fitna", which the hacker states is "[a] Response to the Fitna Movie by 'Geert Wilders' Cow !" "This hax0ring is to defend ISLAM - The Religion of [ Abraham, Moses, Jesus & Muhammad ( Peace Be Upon Them All ) ] that Insulted by a Cow ! from Netherlands !"
Zone-H.org, a website that tracks website defacement attacks worldwide, has documented thousands of compromised websites over the last months. Zone-H reports that 'nEt^DeViL' has hacked 18,157 websites as of Thursday, August 28....
Yeah, nEt^DeViL doesn't just limit his attacks to Dutch Websites.
He hacked an Australian Christian website HERE, and was kind enough to leave his email address:

This guy calls Wilders a "cow" more than once, made me curious. Found out that in the Koran, there is a sura called "The Cow" (#2), and in that sura, there's a whole lot of verses about how evil and blind Unbelievers are.
What else do you expect from Muslims? They have no moral high ground to take, even if that were a strategy in their arsenal. It's not a philosophical debate they can win, and the way they behave themselves they're hardly defensible even despite their endless victim-rhetoric whining. All they can do is temporarily inhibit free speech in order to suppress the truth. But the truth always gets out. He keeps nobody ignorant. And attacking Danes? Fitna was if anything apologist. He should be kissing Geert Wilders' pasty, sexy-bitch-in-an-odd-way ass for not unloading the whole truth or some really real images.
So judging by the name 'nEt^DeViL' we should all be on the lookout for a 13-year-old Korean kid with the characteristic cow-eyed, dead-behind-the-eyes cult member glare who is clever but still too clueless to know that here on the Interwebs we write 'pwn,' not 'own?'

Indeed, the mohametan god allah was a pre-existing cult in Arabia and that deity had several daughters, goddesses all, whose names are known to us.
The god of Abraham had no daughters.
So the best we can say is that mohamet took an existing pagan tradition and conflated it with the religion of Abraham. He identified the pagan Arabian deity, allah, with the god of Abraham. He threw out the daughters as it became apparent that this was in contradiction to his Abrahamic claims.

If you go to the ZDNet site http://blogs.zdnet.com/security/?p=1788 and click on the link to where the defacements are listed http://www.zone-h.org/component/option,com_attacks/Itemid,43/filter_defacer,nEt%5EDeViL/page,1 you can get more information about the actual defacement. There's more than just text. Go the right hand column for one of the sites listed and click on the View icon. It brings up a 10 minute YouTube clip of an anti-Islamophobe harangue - complete with that truly obnoxious jabbing finger that seems to be de rigour for muslim haranguers. Does anyone recognize the bozo in the clip?

More on this story...A Google Search on "nEt^DeViL" yielded a link to an Australian site that had captured an image of a defaced page http://www.livingroom.org.au/temp/. Going to this site brings up an image of the defacement, and from the fine print it looks like it was a simple overwriting of the default home page html file in the various web servers. This is a common tactic of web hackers, but requires they be able to gain remote write access to the machine. It also usually means the hacked machines hadn't been properly secured. Notice that virtually all the machines were either Linux or BSD Unix (i.e., no Windows or Macs, although Macs these days actually use a version of BSD as their underlying engine).
Oops, sorry, I see that the Australian site was already identified by Doctor Bulldog in an earlier post... Still, it's worth reading the fine print of the image.

Still more on this...An Israeli astronomy club was similarly hacked, by the same team, in 2007. They have a complete analysis of the hack on their site at http://www.zionismontheweb.org/hackers/attacked/astronomy_society_hacked.htm which also includes images and animated gifs that aren't on the Australian site.
