Financial Jihad: this will free up a billion or two for dawah and other stealth jihad activity in the West. "Gulf States To Earn Record USD 562 Billion In Revenue," from ANSAmed, August 22 (thanks to Insubria):
DUBAI, AUGUST 22 - Gulf oil producers are expected to earn a record $562 billion in 2008 as crude prices are projected to remain above $100 and they are pumping at one of their highest levels, according to new data from the London-based Centre for Global Energy Studies (CGES), reported by Wam news agency. Accordingly, the combined oil export earnings of the six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries will soar to their highest level of $562 billion this year. The UAE's income will swell to an all-time high of $97 billion while that of Saudi Arabia will surge to $307 billion and that of Qatar and Kuwait will peak at $89 billion and $32 billion respectively. The income, it added, is nearly $234 billion above their 2007 revenues of $328 billion and more than four times their earnings of $137 billion in 2003....
But everyone knows that it's the big oil companies that are responsible for high gas prices. So our Congress prefers to hold "hearings" where they can browbeat oil company execs and grandstand for the public with demands for taxes on "windfall" profits; but never thinks of developing more domestic oil, or other domestic energy resources.
Vote the nincompoops out!
No matter how enviromentally concerned you are, there is no greater threat than allowing our national security to be compromised by being energy dependent on Countries who hate us.
And because of this need for foreign oil from the Middle East we our paying a fortune so they can buy weapons to fight us
--Oh the incredibly ignorant fools that we have in congress!
When Ben Stein was a radical leftist youth and his father a famous conservative he railed at his father about oil companies and their 'obscene profits'. Mr. Stein told his son: "Really? Get the name of some of these companies, I'll buy some stock!"
Half a trillion dollars for doing absolutely nothing. THAT'S obscene.
Back in about 1970, before the first oil shock, when oil was going for $3 to $4/bbl, the cost of getting oil onto a tanker at a Saudi port was less than 50 cents/bbl. That covered the exploration, drilling, and transport costs. All the rest, or 85 to 90% of the price was pure profit. At today's prices, the profit percentage is like ly even higher. It makes Exxon's 8% profit rate look pretty puny.
Of course, Saudi oil is particularly cheap to bring to market: it's easy to find, it's in shallow pools, and distances to the ports are comparatively short. In other countries, the costs of getting oil to market are higher. In some cases, like in the Arctic or off-shore, they are much higher.
its better that gov't officials blame gas prices on oil companies. that way they just ignore jihad, brought about by "friendly" states.
it's not jihad if i'm can't see it, buried head nevertheless
The estimated GDP of the United States in 2007 was $13.84 trillion dollars so this (our percentage of it, anyway) half a trillion isn't going to break us financially, but it's still way past time for us to drill our own oil. Too much jihad can be purchased with just some tiny percentage of that money falling into the wrong hands.
I know that Joe Biden's IQ is higher than everyone else on the planets, but where does he stand on drilling?
And just how much are they paying in U.nited N.azis "dues"?
How much are they paying to fight AIDS and poverty in Africa?
How much do they pay when earthquakes and tsunamis hit their "brother" moslem countries?
Is it me or does it seem they leave all those things up to the "kuffar" "infidel"?
Much of these trillions are being spent buying up stock in American and European companies...and of course real estate all over the West. So don't hold our any hope that the depletion of Middle Eastern oil reserves will spell the end of Islamic wealth.
Long after the oil runs out, the Saudis, Qataris, Kuwaitis and the UAE will be living off the proceeds of hard-working and entrepreneurial Westerners...much as the Ummayads and the Abbasids accrued their fabulous wealth on the backs of productive dhimmis.
As has happened throughout history, an accident of geography is deciding the fate of planet earth.

After all, it is not their money and Americans are going to be killed, anyway.
With all of that money going to these states you would think the Jihad would be supported much stronger by the mid east countries. I'm sure some of them have learned that some Sharia is ok but too much will reduce their income.

Alert,
to throw more money at Pakistan is really the height of stupidity. Words fail me, and so will America, if this continues.
From the article:
"the bill will put conditions on future military aid to ensure Pakistani military forces don’t interfere with the political or judicial process of Pakistan."
Pakistan can only be ruled by the military, every fantasy-construct about 'democracy' will fail against the sharia, which is the basis for everything in this part of the world. The ignorance and failure of US politicians to recognize this is truly astounding.
OT:
Look what they do in the mosques in UK:
THE News of the World has smashed an evil gang working inside MOSQUES to sell fake passports to potential terrorists.

more money to spread Islamic Jihad while the people in their own countries wallow in proverty.
Associating Saudi Arabia with genocide and other crimes against humanity gives us an unprecedented ability to regulate its funding for "religious causes" in the West, to even retroactively shutdown any "religious" institution built with its funding, to discredit its standing (Saudi Arabia is synonymous with Islam and vice versa) in the community of societies and nations – and to even seize its oil-based assets (used to sponsor genocide) as a last resort.
Specifically, western powers, going beyond their support for India, should call on the Saudi leadership to allocate, say, 30-40% of its oil-based revenues for rehabilitating Muslims it has indoctrinated all these decades and to compensate non-Muslim victims and their states.
The victim list includes the United States.
Should the Saudis balk at this humanitarian proposal, the western powers should work to add top Saudi political and religious leaderships to the elite list now occupied by the fellow Muslim, Sudan's leader, Omar al-Bashir – now charged by the International Criminal Court. Similar approach may be pursued in the case of Pakistan in order to make it disengage from terror sponsorship directed at Afghanistan and India.
Due to deeply entrenched and popular nature of political Islamic movements based in Saudi Arabia or Pakistan that are answerable to none, it is unlikely that even the above approach will yield any meaningful results. Still, this intermediate step may be necessary before justifying far more lethal means.

Fight back: get your American fellow citizens motivated on fighting back!
1. Energy:
So get a bicycle!
Like France: build nuclear power central!
Like Brazil: oil from sugar cane!
Like India and China: methane from organic (mostly agricultural) waste!
Like Germany: wind energy
Californian research focuses on energy!
Solar energy!
Bore everywhere out of Dar Al Islam!
2. Clear and pedagogical information about Islam cheap for everybody (with comparison with some other religions): Show educated muslims what their religion is about! You are Americans, the American (and english-speaking) market is big enough to make pedagogical books cheap! After it has been rendable on the anglo-area market, do not forget to translate it in all relevant languages and more.

So, how many Olympic medals did the 1.5 bil. ummah win? Oh let me guess.. kaffur blood, halal. kaffur sports, haram.
What's wrong w/ sending over $500 billion per year to the arab states in exchange for their oil? Why, it's just trade, and trade is good, right? Trade makes the world a more stable place by tying countries together economically, right? They get $ to fund their jihad against the West, and we get their oil to run our economies. A good bargain for all.
And energy independence? Why that would just make us dependent on ourselves, our resources, our ingenuity, and our ability to develop a rational energy policy. Can't have that. We're not up to the task. And besides, it's anti-trade & anti-free market. At least that's what John Stossel, the Cato Institute, and many on the Right think. The Republican Establishment is our enemy, just like the Left.
These income figures per citizen work out approximately as follow (noncitizens are not included):
Saudi Arabia $14,000
UAE $22,000
Qatar $120,000
Kuwait $30,000
Looks like Qatar is the place to be.

Sheik, it is 8 years after 9/11 and here is Bush's record:
http://www.buzzflash.com/contributors/2002/11/13_Laden.html
"height of stupidity" does not cut it. With Bush having taken an oath to protet America and Bush family feeding off of American tax-payers, Bush should be held to account. Don't you think? Or are you going to give the "But Clinton let Bin-Laden off" or "Democrats are worse" lines and end up giving the commander-in-chief a free pass for treason?
Alert...The one thing Bush is really good at is giving away other peoples money...
Gulf Oil...
I guess technically they 'earned' that much money, but actually they did not. It is a win fall, like hitting the lottery...or 'someone' is cheating, and they all are benefiting, and they can squeeze that sponge again, anytime they want. They have in fact been squeezing it periodically for a long time, they have discovered the 'money tree'.
Well, I don't know about you, but I am tired of getting squeezed until money pops out.
So...
I'm not waiting for gov or industry to do something about my energy costs. I have built, installed in a car, and am now doing mileage tests, of a hydrogen fuel cell. Three of them actually, for relatives.
Others have not waited before me, and are presently researching all sorts of free or cheap energy devices. If you are mechanically minded at all, have the time, and some tools and a little cash, you can also build one. (Actual cost of cell about $50.00, but thats if you know what you are doing. The cost is more for beginners like me. It's called 'research and development').
The point is, that individually we are not exactly helpless. We only choose to remain at 'their' mercy, because it is easy, and used to be cheap.
But it is not cheap anymore, and we are being held hostage to it, in more ways than one.
The time to break away from this energetic tyranny is promised by industry and gov, at some distant time, in some unforeseeable future, at an unknowable cost...
Why wait for that?
'To try and fail, is better than not having tried at all'.
But if you try, you will not fail..Let Youtube be your inspiration, and get to work...
As regards the Georgian thing, I was just thinking that's it's nice that Condi has been distracted for a few days and has left Israel alone. Unfortunately, however, I see that she's due back for another "peace" trip, now that the Georgia situation has been resolved somewhat, in the usual half-ass way.
Is it just me, or do I feel my tax dollers are going to waste paying 10+ billion a month for Iraqi finger-in-the-dyke maintenance and who knows how much in Afghanhound-ville (which doesn't even have oil), to say nothing about the human cost, while those gulf moguls rake in mega-billions. And our Secretary of State wastes time and money trying to solve Rubik's Cube in Ramallah.
sheik yer booty-
Right or Left are such quaint and antiquated notions. We are One World now, so get with the agenda sheikh baby. It's like that old TV movie 'V' the lizards are running things now.

I followed that link to the 'news of the world' story.
Whew!
A delicious juicy morsel for Mr Fitzgerald's "Mosques Behaving Badly" dossier.
I noted this paragraph particularly "The cocky crooks were convinced they were untouchable, knowing police raids could inflame racial tension". {Racial? Since when were Muslims a 'race'? Let's reword that - 'knowing police raids on the mosque would be met by Muslim riots in their [the crooks'] defence'}.
Note to the UK: at the Central Mosque and at the East London Mosque in Regent's Park, fake passports were being openly peddled (primarily as a service to jihadists) "among devout worshippers'.
That is: right under the noses of the resident clerics. I do NOT believe that the resident clerics at those mosques could possibly not have known what was going on, not in a 'community' as tightly socially woven as that of the Muslims.
This looks not like a 'house of prayer'. This looks like Gang Headquarters.
EVERYONE there *must* have known it was going on. One wonders why the 'whistleblower' contacted the newspaper when he did (me, I don't trust his stated motives for a moment - I'd suspect he was 'settling scores' with the 'brother' Muslims that he's just offered up to the kafir law enforcers on a silver platter).
I'm afraid that when the journalist quotes the informer as saying
"Not only is it against our religion to commit fraud..." my BS detector went right off the scale.
Two final thoughts.
1. The Muslim selling the Bulgarian passports was getting the blanks from inside Bulgaria: "These are 100 per cent genuine passports. I know a Bulgarian who has a connection in the Home Office over there". Who wants to bet that the 'Bulgarian' that the crook knew, was a Bulgarian Muslim; and that the 'connection in the Home Office over there' [i.e. in Bulgaria] was a Muslim also? Bulgaria has about a million Muslims.
Now allow yourself to wonder how many Muslims, embedded in the civil service and in the private enterprises of every kafir land, not just Bulgaria, are actively promoting the jihad just as this crook's 'connection' was doing?
2. Not only were the Muslim crooks providing jihadists with passports, one of them was *also* into kiddie porn...just like Mohammed, eh? "Cops [raiding the home of one of the crooks] found images of underage children on a computer, along with binoculars on a window sill overlooking a junior school." Aisha, anyone?
Time for 'racial' or 'religious' sensibilities to go by the board. Surprise raids with overwhelming force on every mosque, prayer room and Islamic centre right across the Lands of the Kafir, from Ireland to Australia; take those places apart from attic to basement, with teams of sniffer dogs. Seize the books [financial] and computers and take *those* apart, too.
Oops - in my discussion of the story posted by sheikyermami, I had a slip of the type - the line reading "at the Central Mosque and at the East London Mosque in Regent's Park" should read "at the Central Mosque in Regent's Park and at the East London Mosque in Whitechapel".
Very much OT…and why I will now support McCain 100% (yea hard to believe)...for this reason and this reason alone!
Why do I think we need to rethink our military strategy in relation to Iran, NK, Russia, Middle East, etc etc etc…
LASERS!!!!!! The future of warfare which will make nuclear armed missiles useless and will change everything. There are several types for different purposes. One can take out small tactical targets, and the other can take out missiles and rockets. It also depends on the range/distance of the target, but the options are unlimited depending on technology advancements. Also remember this is what we in the public knows, not what is still classified.
Examples from a few stories…

Droids and Lasers!!!!! Yea!!!! Just put them together and just watch the fun…See we could have waited ten years, zapped Saddam, zapped his successor, zapped several Arabian lords, zapped all the Hamas leaders, zapped all the mullahs we pleased….and our excuse…car bomb went off early, bad car wreck, bad missile test, bad fuel tank, bad reactor, and yes my fav...Americna flag burning gone bad! We could have saved billions of dollars, not lost several thousand troops, protected the USA, and had a blast zapping our way to victory.
So I am now 100% behind the McCain train….I want my droids and lasers!!!!!
Alert,
while I agree with you that the Bush administration is a hopeless bunch of losers (just like the Clitman crew before them) I don't believe for one moment that the capture of Bin Laden would help our cause in any way.
Quite the opposite will be the case: the pinheads will tell us that the 'WoT' is won and the chief-terrorist is now out of the game, so we no longer have to worry about terrorism.
No. I don't care whether OBL lives in a cave or in a palace in Riyadh or Jeddah. He is just one of many millions who follow this ideology and the real problem we face is immigration, subversion, outbreeding and the introduction of sharia by stealth.
jihad might not be slowed down, perhaps faster so the stupid elites can connect the dots, but put Binnie boy laden in an orange suit in club Gitmo would be a great Christmass gift for us for sure!!
That nearly $600 billion is just this year’s take. And it just counts the Gulf Arabs, not other Muslim states with plenty of oil dough to make mischief – think of Iran, or Libya.. Since 1973 alone (there was plenty coming in before that, even though the real bonanza had not started, for the likes of Saudi Arabia) the Muslim oil states have received -- by now -- about eleven billion dollars. They have done nothing, they do nothing, to deserve this money. No hard work, no clever entrepreneurial ideas. They simply sit on top of it. And they are supposedly loyal to fellow Muslims, so one would think that they would share that wealth. But of course they don't. Or rather, some of the rich Arabs and Muslims "share" the teeny-tiniest amounts for very specific purposes. For example, sums are raised to supply a little money to those paladins of the most immediate neighborhood Jihad, the suicide bombers in Israel. But save for one or two ostentatious transmittals of money -- say, to Hariri's party in Lebanon -- there is no sharing of wealth with poorer members of the Umma. Instead, the rich Arabs have been able to inveigle the world into ignoring their incredible greed (and Saudi Arabia, according to J. B. Kelly, has for decades carefully inflated its population numbers in order to lower the published per-capita income figures a swell as to engage in a little froggy throat-swelling), to deflect calls for wealth-sharing within the Umma, and most amazing of all, to convince the Western world, that is the Americans and the Western Europeans, that it is they who should be shelling out aid to Egypt, to Pakistan, to Jordan, to the "Palestinian" warlords and "authorities." Egypt, not an "ally" no matter how often that noun is misapplied, a world center of antisemitism (that ran on state television a series based on "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion"), a country that makes life hell for its Christian Copts, a country that runs diplomatic interference for the Arab regime in Sudan (all the while pretending to be "applying pressure" to it, and to utter, for Western ears only, an occasional cluck-cluck of fake disapproval), a country where the corrupt Mubarak, with his Family-And-Friends Plan, continues to batten on American aid shelled out by those whose notion of an Arab ally these days -- the definition keeps shifting, but it is always a ludicrous one -- is any country that is not openly allied with Iran and that does not call for Israel's immediate destruction, preferring the Slow Jihad as more certain and less dangerous to itself. Why has Egypt, whose Muslim Arabs so dislike the West (even if they would delightedly flood into the West if they could), receive $70 billion from the Americans, and who knows how many more billions from Europeans, when the Saudis, the Emiratians (especially Dubai and Abu Dhabi), the Qataris, the Kuwaitis, are all dripping with gold, and the money just keeps piling up, with no end in sight, even as they buy up as much as they can, at firesale prices, American companies or American stocks or American real estate.
And then there are the billions shelled out for Afghanistan, a country which might better be handled through local proxies, who can deal as they wish with those whom we identify as enemies, at far less expense, with far less tensions caused among NATO members, and who are in a much better position than Western forces to fight, and know whom to fight (while the NATO forces have yet again apparently been fooled into bombing an anti-Taliban group thinking they were the enemy). They may not have American weaponry, but such weaponry is not really needed. Long knives against long knives, Tadzhik and Uzbek in the north holding fast against Pushtuns, Hazara armed sufficiently to protect themselves from the uber-Sunni Taliban, and so on, with shifting patterns of (most temporary) Western weapons drops and supplies.
And let’s not forget Iraq, where the Americans removed a monster, and for five years have been moving heaven and earth to make Iraq a decent place, which means ignoring the inshallah-fatalism, and the victor/vanquished dualism, that Islam encourages and that helps explain why the American effort, no matter how prolonged, and no matter how many men, how much money, how much materiel is expended or rather squandered, will not succeed in building a different Iraq, something recognizably advanced and Western. If there were a million Mithal al-Alusis, it might happen, but there is only one, or at best, only a handful. And it is this that General Petraeus and the “counter-insurgency manual” colonels from Leavenworth keep forgetting, or rather never knew, because they haven’t deeply felt what they cannot see, and Islam – in the minds of men – cannot easily be seen. You have to study it, you have to study the texts and tenets and then what , over time and through space, Muslims have done with those texts and tenets, how they have behaved toward Infidels. But you can’t just “see” it. And that is why the Americans have now squandered nearly two trillion dollars in Iraq. And what has Saudi Arabia done? Has it paid for the Sunni Awakening? Has it paid to keep the Americans somewhere in the area to help protect those Sunnis, or to protect Sunni regimes from Iran-sponsored Shi’a aggression? No, not a cent. And not only that, but it is only the Infidel states that have forgiven nearly one hundred billion dollars in Iraq’s pre-2003 debt, while neither Saudi Arabia nor Kuwait has done so, and the Emirates have only done so in part. Why is that, do you think, that only the Infidels have cancelled in any major way the debt of a Muslim debtor state, and not fellow Muslim states?
.
Oh, we could go on, with a tour of the globe, showing how here, and how there, Infidels end up footing the bill – who paid for relief in Muslm Aceh, in Indonesia? Not the Saudis. Who pays for Muslim relief everywhere? Not the Saudis, not the Kuwaitis, not the Emiratians, not the Qataris. No, it’s always the Infidels.
This has to stop. There has to be screaming, all over the Western world, to demand that members of the Umma start showing their “loyalty” to fellow members of the Umma in ways other than giving grants to the families of suicide bombers in Israel. They have all the money in the world. The more they contribute to poor Muslims, the less they will have to conduct those well-financed campaigns of Da’wa and propaganda in the West, the fewer Western hirelings they will be able to hire, the fewer mosques and madrasas spewing hate they will be able to build all over the West.
Why is the State Department, why is Congress, why is the President himself incapable of demanding that others, fellow Arabs, start paying us back for our efforts everywhere to make things better in Iraq and Afghanistan? And pay us, as well, for the “insurance” policy we provide to oil tankers in the Gulf. There is no reason for the Americans to foot the bill for all that. It is the oil sellers who should be paying. And at the very least, why are all other oil consuming nations off the hook – such as China – leaving America to finance and do the whole job?
It makes no sense. But then, so little of what is going on does. And because it is so absurd, most people cannot quite believe it, and assume there is something behind it, some modicum of sense, if only we knew. We are, they think, being kept in the dark as to the real reasons for such on-the-face-of-it idiocy.
No, I’m afraid. That idiocy on its face is just that – idiocy.
‘Taliban not burning girls’ schools’
(Must be the Jooozzz...!)
ISLAMABAD: Various gangs of criminals are active in the NWFP in guise of the Taliban, provincial Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said on Saturday, adding that the Taliban should not be blamed for the burning of girls’ schools and other militant activities.
The criminals want to serve the agenda of their “international masters”, Hussain told the state-run PTV channel.

There needs to be a chorus of voices of demanding the rich Arab shieks of oil wealth use their $$$$ to help their poor arab brothers. no more tax money from the West to be used, let them eat their oil.\
btw you all need to ask your politicians to drill in your own country.. drilling is done in Canada , a very liberal country with enough looney tune tree huggers that even in the Great White North we drill for oil.. time to tell that to your Democrats and their appologist greens!

You mean as in "Dhimmi Katr"? Gasp! Now it all makes sense. ;-)
Appears it's time for America & Western Countries to just go ROMAN....doing the "politically correct" is just NOT WORKING.
What, would they hate us any more than they do now?
We are accused of being Imperialistic, so why not just play the role?
If we use military power to just take the oil, would that not be with Allah's blessing? He could just stop us if he wanted to, right? If not, then it's "Allah willing" at work. He would be on our side of action.
Anyone that resist would get a free e-ticket to paradise...since this is what Muslims want anyways....Allah can sort them out.
Yesterday in history: 24 August 1675
Victory of Lwow by Jan Sobiewski (Poland-Lituania) against much more numerous Ottoman troops.
Just a day to be remembered!
As to Catholics, God helped the Christians seriously in this victory with a terrible storm frightening the Muslims and ... encouraging the Christians.
How much of that $562 billion was spent to sway our US public opinion on the subject of oil. If you think the greenies and related politicians get all their money from the US you are sadly mistaken.
