Morocco: Authorities break up jihadist network calling itself "Conquest of Andalusia"

The known Tiny Minority of Extremists increase in number again. "Morocco 'breaks terror network'," from BBC News, August 29:

The Moroccan authorities say they have broken up a militant cell operating in several towns in the kingdom.
The group allegedly had links with al- Qaeda and police described the 15 people arrested as "dangerous".
They had electronic and chemical materials used to make explosives, reports the state press agency, MAP.
It is the fourth such network Morocco says it has broken up this year. An al-Qaeda-inspired group has said it was behind recent attacks in Algeria.
"The members of this structure, known as "Fath al-Andalous" [Conquest of Andalusia], planned to carry out attacks in Morocco and had formed operational links with foreign extremists who have pledged allegiance to the al-Qaeda organisation," MAP says.
The BBC's James Copnall in Morocco says this is almost certainly a reference to al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (QIM), an organisation largely based in neighbouring Algeria which has ties with Osama bin Laden's movement.
QIM says it has carried out attacks in several other North African countries, as well as the Algeria bombings which left 70 dead.
However, some analysts believe there is little real regional co-ordination between extremist groups.
Our correspondent says Morocco has been accused of over-dramatising the threat it faces from extremists, to benefit from support from the US and Europe.
Nevertheless, he notes that there have been attacks in Morocco: the most dramatic example occurred five years ago, when suicide bombers killed 45 people in Casablanca.

Nothing to do with Islam of course. Nothing to do with the Islamic claim on Al Andaluz. Say it and you are called 'racist' and 'Islamophobe'.

From the article above

Inspector Atif: I'm shocked, shocked to find body parts in here..."

Underling: "Here are your bombs, sir"

Inspector Atif: "Thank you....now I want this place cleaned of any evidence we were here immediately!"

Where is Mister Rick when we need him?

"Stop Muslim immigration now!"

"Islam, abusing women and children since 622AD"

Because of its history and geography, Spain is threatened by Islamization in a manner more acute than any country in Europe with the possible exceptions of France and Sweden. And just as the relationship between Mexico and America has become symbiotic because of the millions of Mexicans living in the states, so is the relationship between Spain and Morocco increasingly so; the Muslim population of Spain is overwhelmingly Moroccan and growing exponentially.

Today, Morocco is a partner with Spain in fighting terrorism; tomorrow, that may not be the case, depending on a wide variety of circumstance. But even if Spanish-Moroccans relations remain good, the relationship is destined to be altered as time goes by...with Spain devolving from the role of big brother today...into a growing dependence as Moroccan good-will becomes indispensable in maintaining social peace inside Spain.

Eventually, Spain will become a geographic appendage of Morocco, just as France will become little Algeria, Germany will become Turkey, and England becomes Pakistan.

These loose jihad groupings all over the world demonstrate that we are fighting a net war and that the net is held together by Islamic ideas. If we don't have the correct theory of our enemy we are going to choose the wrong strategy. E.g. we can't use deterrence as this is merely a node in the net; we can't attack its head as there is little hierarchy; we can't use sanctions as this is world wide; we can't use regional punishment as a strategy, as this is only a temporary tactic.

The tools, therefore, to fight banal warfare are trivial unless the net itself is attacked, each or most of the nodes (sometimes using these tools but also using the money weapon and ideas.) And the net has to be attacked by most of the free world. It's going to be nearly impossible to fight this if occasional nodes have the bomb or some bad bio-weapons. And, denying the net money is critical. I think we are going to win--thank God our hive brain is wired tighter these days!--but the world probably needs to learn by suffering more damage. Sorry, not nice to say. Bad times for awhile.

Cornelius,
While reading your post, one country came to mind: Portugal. We never hear of it.
If Spain is threatened then what about its fellow Iberian nation? Al-Andalus once included almost all of the Iberian peninsula but Portugal is never heard about. Surely any attempt to retake al-Andalus will involve the Portugese.

Do you remember when Spain withdrew its troops from the fighting in IRAQ?...

"The real reason Spain is pulling out their troops is because they don't have the guts to fight the war on terrorism. They would rather just fold up and go home. Al Qaeda defeated that entire country with about 15 bombs placed on trains. Apparently nothing is worth fighting for, as their actions after the Madrid bombings show. Appeasement is now their stated policy. Typical Euro-weenies."

Well, Spain is beginning to learn that you will have to fight the Muslims ....sooner or later...

so why wait?/

PMK,

Interesting point.

One hears very little about Portugal vis-a-vis Islam or anything else. It's possible that Portugal's economy is less mature than Spain's, hence there is less of a dependence on immigrant labor. But this is speculation. For all I know, Portugal has its own Muslim "problem".

Isn't it interesting, how both Portugal and Spain could tap an endless supply of immigrant labor who speak the same language and share the same culture? It makes eminent sense for Portugal to import Brazilians and Spain other Latin Americans to fill out their growing labor-shortages (Spain has one of the lowest birth-rates in Europe).

Instead, Moroccans abound throughout Spain. I remember reading an article a year or two ago where three young Moroccan immigrants were interviewed in Spain...and all expressed utter contempt towards the idea of assimilation. It was a frightening read.

The writing's on the wall. Like a senile old man, Europe has forgotten its past...and seems unaware that the "help" brought in to provide for its care is in the process of taking over the house.

Who burned the old city of Lisboa?

Remember that? Was it, ten, twelve years ago?

And who burned the old bridge in Lucerne in Switzerland, four, five-hundred years old, with all its priceless artworks, paintings and carvings?

European countries must realise there are many countries apart from the Muslim countries to get over their labour shortages. You are letting in poisonous snakes into your house when u import muslims. Why cant they look toward South america, India(baring muslims),combodia, thailand, laos and south of africa. you r lettingin people who want to take over your house. The mexico-US arrangement cant be seen in the same light as spain-morrocco as morrocco a muslim country. There is nothing as moderate muslim, either he is a muslim or a ex-muslim.

Muslims are responsible for all but couple of 52 wars being faught in the world. Do read what ISLAM teaches these leaches in Koran http://www.faithfreedom.org/Articles.htm

Are there any websites with cartoons on Jihadists?

Are liberals still saying that is only a few?

some analysts believe there is little real regional co-ordination between extremist groups.

if you try to connect the dots its "ISLAM".

Our correspondent says Morocco has been accused of over-dramatising the threat it faces from extremists, to benefit from support from the US and Europe.

Over-dramatising? I don't think it is possible to over-dramatise or over-estimate the threat posed by islam. If anything, the MSM and our fearless "leaders" have been under-estimating and playing down the danger for years.
