So the jihad will most likely continue. "Court blocks Philippine land deal," from the BBC, August 4 (thanks to all who sent this in):
The Philippines' Supreme Court has blocked the signing of a territorial deal between the government and Muslim separatists in the south of the nation. The two sides were due to formalise a deal on Tuesday widening an existing Muslim autonomous region.
But the court acted after Catholic lawmakers from the region said they had not been adequately consulted.
Rebels from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front have been fighting for self-rule in the southern Philippines for years.
The agreement was intended to kick-start peace talks aimed at ending nearly four decades of conflict....
"Do not build a Berlin Wall among the people in Mindanao," Celso Lobregat, mayor of the mainly Catholic city of Zamboanga, told a 10,000-strong crowd.
The court has now temporarily suspended the deal and ordered the government to make its case at a hearing on 15 August....
Supporters, including President Gloria Arroyo, say it is badly needed to help end a war that has cost more than 100,000 lives and left the southern Philippines mired in poverty, says the BBC's Michael Barker in Manila.
But critics say the agreement is tantamount to allowing the establishment of an independent state within the country, something that is outlawed by the constitution, our correspondent adds.
This is a cleverly orchestrated campaign over a long time.
The terror against the Christians is but one of the methods of this jihad. The bombs, the kidnappings, the random killings, the attacks on churches and farmers runs ahead of the slimy Muslim spokesmen who come the Manila to complain about how bad the Muslim minority is treated.
Another method is the money weapon: tens of thousands of Philippine workers work in the Arab fiefdoms in the Gulf, and support their families at home with that money. That's the carrot.
The Philippines is run by corrupt government officials, nearly without exception, who will sell their sorry asses for whatever the going rate is. The continued hammering by many Islamic organizations and Arab states including Libya, which has a long track record in aiding and abetting the jihad in Mindanao, is bearing fruit.
Saif al Islam Gaddafi:
The son of the illustrious terrorist who brought us Lockerbie, the Berlin disco-bombings and many more, is the apple of daddies eye because he does exactly what daddy always did: actively engage in jihad terrorism from Thailand to the Philipines, from Indonesia to Africa and also in Iraq.

One more:
* The Gaddafi’s are ‘good Muslims’ - with a long history of involvement in the global jihad:
Infidel governments are suicidal. It is no secret that Lybia’s crackpot dictator Muammar Gaddafi has a long history of extortion, assassinations, hijackings, mass-murders (Lockerbie and the Berlin LaBelle disco bombing among other things) After incarcerating, torturing and terrorizing 6 Bulgarian nurses for 8 years (!) Sarkozy took it upon himself to get them released and promptly entered into some deals with the dictator that will surely come around to bite not only France, but all of Europe in the ass.
An update on this story: Like Father Like Son
Saif al-Islam al-Gaddafi (Arabic: سيف الإسلام القذافي, translation: sword of Islam)
Last week he was in Thailand making sure that the jihad against the Buddhist government continues, this week Saif al Islam, (the sword of Islam) second son of the illustrious despot Muammar Gaddafi, is in the Philippines to make sure that the ‘rebels’ unite, while the Arroyo government not only looks on, but resigned itself already into a delusional ‘land for peace’ agreement with the Abu Sayyaf jihad freaks. Sounds familiar? Yes. Give ‘em ‘autonomy’ - , give them a state! Money, weapons, training!

Can we get the Filipino Supreme Court in the US, and send them the US Supreme Court? That way, we wouldn't have Jihadis being handed rights that never existed. If only Supreme Courts in Israel, India, Thailand, et al intervened whenever their governments tried signing appeasement treaties with Jihadis.
As for MILF, they should do what Mohammedans do, and reject the court ruling, since they are Infidels anyway who aren't issuing Shariah based rulings.
If there are any doubts of the dysfunctional outcome of a 'two state' solution in the Philippines, just look at Lebanon. Someone once said a house divided cannot stand. A "state within a state" is not a solution but a recipe for political disaster, especially with an implacable foe like Sharia Islam's mandate to take over the world, once piece at a time.
The jihad will continue, regardless of the actions of the Philipine government. After the Christians flee or are subdued, the Sons of Allah will turn upon themselves and then, as always, everywhere Islam Is, War Is. The great Is in Perpetuity.
Southern Mindinao is becoming the mirror image of Kashmir, where non-Muslim natives of a non-Muslim majority country are being ethnically cleansed from a Muslim-majority region of said country.
Speaking of which, I read second-hand somewhere that hundreds of French cars were torched around Paris and other French cities on Bastille day...but there was no mainstream media confirmation anywhere.
Can anybody corroborate the claim?
This is sad to see once again a Christian nation selling itself/appeasing to muslim thugs. they need another Amer. general to take out the islamists, and use pig blood tipped missiles on their sorry butts.
Good on the Supreme Court of the Philippines for showing a glimmer of sense.
Good on the 'Catholic lawmakers from the region'.
Paging all Filipino posters and lurkers - any chance that you can communicate to your political and religious and military leaders the following trenchant remarks by Mr Hugh Fitzgerald? They referred originally to the so-called 'peace process' in the Middle East, but they apply equally well to all other situations where Muslims are 'negotiating' with Infidels, such that I have taken the liberty of writing 'The Philippines' in the first sentence, where Mr F. originally wrote 'Israel'.
"No treaty with Infidel states, and The Philippines is such a state, can conceivably be permanently honored by a Muslim signatory.
"Pacta sunt servanda is a Western idea.
"In the Muslim world, treaties – if made with Infidels - are not to be obeyed, but to be violated, as soon as the Muslim side feels itself strong enough to press its advantage.
"The model for all time -- see Majid Khadduri, "The Law of War and Peace in Islam" -- is Muhammad's Treaty with the Meccans in 628 A.D, the Treaty of Hudaybiyya. –
Hugh Fitzgerald, writing on Robert Spencer’s jihadwatch website, 15.8.2006
I may add that a useful summary and discussion of the Treaty of Hudaybiyya and its significance may also be found in Mr Robert Spencer's "The Truth About Muhammad", pp. 136-139.
Thai and Indian posters and lurkers might like to communicate this interesting nugget of information as widely as possible, merely substituting 'Thailand' or 'India' where I have substituted 'The Philippines'.
Non-Muslim Filipinos - *dig in your toes* and do not give the Muslims even one inch of ground. Squash 'em.
I wish that the supposed infidels(I frankly consider all muslims to be the real infidels) in the phillipines would fight back with as much cohesion and vigor that these usurpers do when trying to take their land and lives away from them. Bravo for the catholic lawmakers. I hope they stand their ground. By the way, where's the vatican and when are they going to institute the crusades again. After all that's what the muslims constantly accuse us of, being crusaders that is. And I'm a proud one.
