"Taleban 'burn Pakistan schools'," from BBC News, August 5:
Suspected pro-Taleban militants have burnt down three more girls' high schools in the Swat valley of north-west Pakistan, officials say.
Ten schools have been destroyed in the district in the last four days.
Nearly 70 state-run schools have been burnt down in the area in recent months, affecting over 17,000 students.
There has been no word from militant groups in relation to the latest arson attacks, but local militants group have admitted to such attacks in the past.
Correspondents say militant groups trying to enforce strict Islamic law want the schools to be shut down.
The area is now under a night curfew and no fresh incident of violence has been reported so far on Tuesday.
On Monday night, a girls' high school was set on fire in the Matta area which completely destroyed the library and classrooms.
This was followed by two other attacks on different schools in nearby Mingora and Kanju....
Ignorance is an ally of Muhammadism.
True to form, the BBC, again, misses the mark. Since muslims consider their koran the fountainhead of ALL human knowledge, we can't be having them school kids learning that 1+1=2.

Is this this key to the longevity of their ideals? Keep the masses ignorant. Ignorance makes brainwashing so much easier. It's got to be easier to convince a "tabla rasa" of your ridiculous values than it would be to do so on a tabla educated.

There is little doubt as to the toughness of the Taliban.
Whilst burning state schools may seem a cowardly thing to do…they do not lose focus of the objective…and it is this. …global peace as seen by the Rasool (PBUH) and to be implemented through the word of God.
I mean look at the results.
It was easy to do, with no causalities to the Taliban, the children now stay at home, (the girls particularly stay indoors) and the boys might as go to the Madrassae.
There may well have been witnesses, but who do you tell … the witness is better off seeking justice through Allah SWT.
Now many of you will indeed have had a snicker or two at the madness….but even through madness there is method.
These are trial runs for the greater task ahead….what of schools abroad?.
If a school is burned in our lovely America, what will the children do?....no computers, parents staying at home to look after the children….authorities running the riot act…meanwhile a second school could go..
The Taliban are rough and tough, and the yokels of Alabama would have a tough time with them.
We definitely need the moderates of Islam to show the true path …away from violence,, there is also method in prayer and peace that way.
Folks in the West can contribute….by converting to Islam and putting a peaceful slant to it can help enormously….you owe it to the folks of Alabama….who is up for peace?
Taliban claims to follow Islamic law to the letter. Do the Qur'an and other Islamic teachings really instruct followers to destroy schools and health clinics? Are believers told to go blow up 3000 innocents in the USA? How can any peaceful Muslim accept this? Where are the protests? The violence and barbaric stupidity exemplified in this story will continue to build worldwide wherever these "militants" operate freely. Why haven't the "radicals" been kicked out of Islam? Killing and destroying for your god is not tolerated in most religions, and those practicing such crimes are booted out or excommunicated. If Taliban really do follow Islamic teachings to the letter, only big trouble can result as the West and peaceful Muslims resistance intensifies. I believe many more people will die because of these teachings. If Bin Laden and crew, Taliban, Hamas, or Hizbolla haven't been Islamically apostacized by now, it aint gonna happen. What you see in this story and all the others like it is pure Islam at work.
The Taliban like their childen (especially the girls) to be ignorant and completely devoid of individual thought...the better to follow Islam and the teachings of the Islamic clerics..

The "peaceful" Muslims accept it because it's Islamic law, to the letter. Their silence in the face of such violence speaks volumes - about THEM. They are NOT our friends.
Are the BBC and the Laborites in Britain who think Sharia law should be implemented taking note of what it means?
The British Parliament has many women members. Are they prepared to stay home and keep their daughters at home, in accordance with sharia?
You'd think the BBC would take note. All those female reporters, some of whom work in the US, will be forced to quit their jobs once sharia takes hold. Their daughters will never get a full education. Is that okay by them?
They really think they can allow Sharia to be implemented and not get caught up in it? Fools!
Were any of the schools that burned down constructed by Greg Mortenson's organization, IKAT (described in the book "Three Cups of Tea")? Just wondering. A cursory look at his website made no mention of this.

My thought exactly.
Hindenberg, if muslims would all convert to Christianity, there would be a greater peaceful slant. And if they decide Christianity isn't for them, we won't kill them for changingt to somthing else. Now THAT'S a peaceful slant.
