Arab News: McCain and Obama are Tweedledum and Tweedledee

TweedleDeeTweedleDum.jpg
Facing a hideous choice

In "Tweedledum and Tweedledee" in Arab News, September 20, Anwar Kemal says that there is no real choice between Obama and McCain. Why not? Because neither supports the jihad against Israel.

IT is a popular belief among Americans that the Arabs prefer Barack Obama because his first name is derived from the Arabic “Baraka” and his middle name is Hussein. That may have been the case before Illinois senator came out so vocally in favor of Israel.

Obama’s statements and actions during the past six months have made one thing amply clear: It is not going to make the slightest difference to Arab welfare or the cause of the Palestinians struggling for their rights and freedom if Obama is elected president.

According to Robert Fisk of The Independent, Israel is going to have it easy, and the Arabs just as hard, no matter who is elected. No sooner is Obama (or McCain) elected than “he will be forced to take sides — Israel’s, of course — and then it will be time for the next election.” Both the presidential candidates will be talking about Israel’s security, not Palestinian security, and “we’ll be back on the same old itinerary.”...

There is a curious disconnection from reality in this piece. With Bush and Rice agitating for a "stable, contiguous Palestinian state," and Olmert offering the "Palestinians" 98.1% of the West Bank, Israel could be cut in two very soon, and given a Hamas-controlled jihadist state, internationally coddled and financed, as its new neighbor. But Kemal is right in one way: this could happen no matter which candidate wins the election.

There will be a huge difference with Obama, he will treat terrorists with kid gloves as well as leaders of states who sponsor terrorism ie. iran. there are so many differences you cannot list them all. ps fisk should be fisked!

Obama, like McCain, does not recognize that the problem is not primarily a military one. He wishes simply to move troops out of Iraq, and into Afghanistan/Pakistan. Neither one of the candidates wishes to recognize the sources of the threat of Jihad (immutable texts, immutable tenets), the magnitude of the threat (with trillions of dollars in unearned oil wealth, and millions of Muslims foolishly, with near-criminal negligence, allowed to settle deep within the Bilad al-kufr, or Lands of the Infidels), the instruments that are employed aside from qitaal or terrorism (the Money Weapon, campaigns of Da'wa, and demographic conquest -- not every Muslim immigrant is deliberately intending to "swell Muslim ranks" but every new Muslim immigrant is in fact "swelling Muslim ranks" and this inexorabledemographic shift is recognized by many Muslims as making them more powerful, and the same demographic shift continues to be deliberately unrecognized by Western political and media elites, who wish to ignore a problem and hope it goes away, somehow, even though the very ignoring of it is precisely what causes it to grow). has consequences).

McCain continues to foolishly support the effort in Iraq without asking himself how the "surge" has "worked" (that is, "worked" beyond the immediate and obvious goal of reducing daily violence) and how that, in turn, contributres to an outcome where the Camp of Islam is weakened, weakened more than it would be were the Americans to finally leave, having tamped down what will re-emerge as a continuing and permanent sectarian conflict in Iraq (and the atmospherics of Islam -- the inculcated hostility towards Infidels, the aggression and violence with which the Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira are so full, creates attitudes that do not disappear when the enemy consists of Muslim Arabs of a different sect or different (i.e., non-Arab) ethnic origin.

But McCain, at least, recognizes that Islam is a problem, a problem based -- I think he grasps this -- that is world-wide, that is not going away, and that is not the province of a "handful of extremists." McCain is not Bush; he is very different, in every respect, from Bush, and he should be judged primarily not so much by what he says now, but what he has done for the past quarter-century before the silly season of the campaign began. And Obama should be judged not by what he says now, with that air of solemn judiciousness and that oft-parroted "this country that I love so much," but by the previous quarter-century of his existence, where his knowledge of Islam and the Middle East, learned by repeatedly dining out with the likes of Rashid Khalidi, and listening to 20 years of the rantings of Rev. Jeremiah Wright (and which is worse: that Obama was offended by Wright, but was so desperate for Wright's political support, that instead of quitting that congregation after a year or two, loyally stayed with it, right up until this past year, when it became politically untenable?)and then initially choosing, as his advisers on foreign policy, the most anti-Israel (and unaware-of-Islam) people one could possibly choose, including Zbigniew Brzezinski. We are supposed to ignore all this, and to ignore the signs -- they are all over the place -- including the cheap pandering at AIPAC about Jerusalem, which pandering got the delighted and delirious applause by an easily-satisfied largely-unthinking audience, and then was promptly "clarified" (i.e., withdrawn) the very next day.

McCain has unaware-of-Islam-and-the-larger-picture dopes among his advisers (kagans and kristols and boots) but he also has others, including James Woolsey, who see the light, and are beginning to comprehend why Iraq makes little sense, and do not have to prove, as Obama does, that he has to be "tough" on "the extremists" by moving into Afghanistan, and unlike Obama, will not pursue that idiotic, and dangerous, "two-state solution" whether or not a new Israeli government is foolish enough to keep on with the same old suicidal same old.

Not Tweedledum and Tweedledee at all.

Except to those who, like the writers and readers of the Arab News, can believe six impossible things before breakfast.

Can some one from please tell me why JW continues to give us run of the mill examples of Islamic propaganda in the heart lands of the Islamic ummah when the supposed purpose of this site is to inform about encroachment of the Jihad on non Islamic states.

From JW

Because non-Muslims in the West, as well as in India, China, Russia, and the world over, are facing a concerted effort by Islamic jihadists, the motives and goals of whom are largely ignored by the Western media, to destroy their societies and bring them forcibly into the Islamic world -- and to commit violence to that end even while their overall goal remains out of reach. That effort goes under the general rubric of jihad.

Now don’t get me wrong I realize it is important to understand every dimension of the Jihad, yet I fail to understand why JW will report on Arabic editorials or ten hot heads in Bangladesh, yet censors its self regarding much more important issues closer to home; namely the civil unrest perpetrated by the foot soldiers of the EUrabian project in Cologne this weekend.

For those not in the know (you certainly wouldn’t know about it if you just read JW or LGF for your jihad related news) an anti-islamic conference was supposed to take place in Cologne this weekend.

The http://www.spiegel.de/international/germany/0,1518,577743,00.html ">OIC specifically asked for the conference to be banned and the EU authorities gladly obliged by encouraging autonoms to attack any one remotely connected to the event even including jewish old age pensioners.

Here are the words of Mayor of Cologne inciting Islams foot soldiers accompanying useful idiots.

“Diese braunen Biedermänner sind in Wahrheit Brandstifter, Rassisten im bürgerlichen Zwirn, subtile Angstmacher”, warnte er vor mehreren tausend Gegendemonstranten. “Dieser verfaulten Clique des Eurofaschismus, diesen Haiders und Le Pens und wie sie alle heißen, rufe ich zu: Da ist der Ausgang, da geht’s nach Hause!”

“These brown Biedermänner [Bieder-men, a smear word for conservative people from the southern hinterland of Germany] are in reality arsonists, racists in bourgeois outfits, subtle fear mongers,” he warned in front of thousands of [Leftist] demonstrators. “This dirty clique of Euro fascists, these Haiders and Le Pens [who wasn’t even planning to attend the Congress] and whatever their names may be, I call to them: There is the exit, that’s the way back home!”

For those interested in reports of this weekend's events please visit the following, its not a comprehensive list but there are plenty of links to follow.

http://centurean2.wordpress.com/2008/09/21/really-dark-night-for-germany-even-darker-for-the-british-media/

This is a dark night in Europes history and I am afraid an even darker one for JW if they do not have the courage to report this very important news.

Pam Geller of "Atlas Shrugs" calls those who protested against "Islamization" in Cologne, "brave souls."

Darcy they are brave souls no matter what you think of their politics.

Which makes their sacrifice on the alter of political correctness by the likes of LGF and now it appears JW all the more perturbing.

km - I was just posting what she said, not making a judgement call.

I also agree that anyone protesting Islam is a brave soul. You took my comment wrong.

Update on Cologne:

Jewish Member(s) Of Pro-Cologne Beaten Up By Pro-Islam Thugs

http://sheikyermami.com/2008/09/21/jewish-member-of-pro-cologne-beaten-up-by-pro-islam-thugs/

just in from Cologne:

I am the “eyewitness” you quoted in the story. I would like you to know that two Jews were beaten up. I am leaving Cologne with a broken rib. I was readily identifiable as Jewish from my Kippa. As they were attacking me, they were yelling “Nazi”. How odd is that? Two jews beaten on the streets of Germany, by Germans who were calling us Nazis. All of this in reposne to us out there in the streets trying to protect their cultural heritage and right to exist.

From Jewish Member Of Pro-Cologne Beaten Up By Pro-Islam Thugs, 2008/09/21 at 7:47 AM

Sorry Darcy that wasn't a negative comment aimed at you, it was just a general comment about their politics and the fact they actually get off their back sides and try and do something.

Sheik thanks for that link I did mention in my post that some of the victims of the violence were Jewsih but I couldnt find the exact link.

Glad to see your site is back up BTW.

Does this mean that Osama Bin Forgotten is the troll under the bridge?

The Demoncrats expect us to be more like the Europeans???

The Germans CHEERED Obama.

2+2=4

It was announced a short while ago: Olmert is stepping down and will be replaced by the second woman PM in Israel's history.

This author is right, but for the wrong reason.

Where the welfare of AMERICANS is concerned, there is indeed no difference between Obama and McCain. Both will sell us out.

Olmert is supposed to resign today, Sunday.

Leftists will eventually turn on Islam. This will be from desperation when they see that the people they have been supporting, are taking power and threatening them. Leftists are useful idiot dhimmi's who don't know that's what they are, but are on the list to find out.

Europe is a gonner if this is the case: From article about Cologne:

He said it was the first time an entire German city “stood up to protect its Muslims.”
This useful idiot dhimmi, the 'Mayor of Cologne' needs to be removed. But I don't look for that to happen...

I doubt it was the entire city, or that this guy speaks for everyone, but they celebrate this as a victory anyway. A victory for Islam, a victory for right, for justice...for insanity.

A form of self abuse, of voluntarily beating up dar al-harb in the name of dar al-Islam.

They beat up some Jews for Islam and Allah, and call that a victory.

'Dhimmi's for Allah', helping Islamic hegemony wherever possible'.
A fine upstanding organization
if you are a lunar-tic.

A lunar-tic is one suffering from moon madness, a form of Allahphrenia, this is all muslims and some dhimmi's, who are dhimmi's by choice/ignorance, and used as useful idiots.
The Mayor of Cologne is obviously infected.

I don't think those multicultural leftist dhimmi's in Germany, Britain, France or elsewhere are going to like real sharia law one little bit, but they may as well get ready for it, because it has arrived. If they thought Hitler was tough, wait till Mohammad gets done with them...

If you haven't seen The Invasion, see it and apply islam to it.

I so hate that crummy Muslim paper. How exactly are Arabs going to have it hard? Saudi Arabia or Jordan are going to suffer or something? The parasites that paper panders to most of them have never worked an honest day in their useless, sybaritic Koran spewing lives.

This is a dark night in Europes history and I am afraid an even darker one for JW if they do not have the courage to report this very important news.

I understand your complaint, but what does 'courage', or lack of got to do with this?

Which makes their sacrifice on the alter of political correctness by the likes of LGF and now it appears JW all the more perturbing.

Sacrifice on the alter of political correctness?

Your basic point may have merit, but you dilute it with accusations of intent, and the mental status of cowardice.

The idea should be to suggest inclusion of these news items, not to throw JW into defending itself against accusations of cowardly actions, or bending to suit PC.

There are a lot of important stories that JW can't get to. There is nothing stopping readers from filling in these gaps by posting links.

That you did...thanks...

Duh_Swami

It is not just not posting stories, JW recently has actually been removing active threads, specifically ones to do with the Cologne anti-Jihad conference.

So I hope others can understand where the accusation of intent comes from.

I have the greatest respect for JW, but I believe these stories are of major importance and to not cover them and actively suppress them... well I made feelings clear above.

km...I see your point. I was not commenting on that as much as the personal innuendos of cowardice 'lack of courage' etc. That kind of talk does put it on a personal basis, and distracts attention from your original observation and complaint.

However that's just my opinion, you may have another...

I actually don't see much point in JW removing or not reporting on this anyway, because the information is not secret.

I just read about it here, and elsewhere.
Partly from the links you provided...
That so far are not deleted...
Thanks again.

Km, like so many, taints his critique with accusations about my intent, and yet my intent is something he couldn't possibly know.

In fact, I was out all morning, and just posted about the incidents in Cologne.

Tweedleedum and Tweedeedee agreed to have a battle...

Like others, I agree with this characterization of the Arab News.

But McCain, at least, recognizes that Islam is a problem, a problem based -- I think he grasps this -- that is world-wide, that is not going away, and that is not the province of a "handful of extremists." McCain is not Bush; he is very different, in every respect, from Bush...
Hugh

I'd really like to see the evidence of this: all his actions to date have belied this assertion above.

"Not Tweedledum and Tweedledee at all."

Nah. More like Charles and Ned Cheeryble in "Nichols Nickleby".

Whoops. Nicholas Nickleby!!

But McCain, at least, recognizes that Islam is a problem, a problem based -- I think he grasps this -- that is world-wide

l can believe a leader of leader of the Free United States can actually understand Islam! If we ordinary people can read and understand history, the logic behind the actions of islamists therefore a right thinking leader can do the same. as for NOBAMA, well you can talk to these far leftist till your blue in the face, and he will never get it! you just have to read about his background, the people he associated with, and the people he choses to kick under the bus to understand he is nothing more than a far leftist wanting to distribute your money to others in order to stay in power. He is caught up in his black/white background and cannot help but to use it for his own selfish power hungrey corruptness.
McCain/Pallin need to win this year!

"Arab News: McCain and Obama are Tweedledum and Tweedledee"

Wrong: if anything, McCain and Obama are like Tweedledee and Tweedledum!

"Tweedle Dee is a low down sorry old man
Tweedle Dum he'll stab you where you stand"
(Bob Dylan)

Km, like so many, taints his critique with accusations about my intent, and yet my intent is something he couldn't possibly know.

In fact, I was out all morning, and just posted about the incidents in Cologne.

Robert the reasons for my exasperation was that it appeared that JW was removing threads related to the Cologne demonstration inparticular the removal of the thread regarding Diana West's article 'Is Europe lost'.
