Bombing in New Delhi kills 1, wounds 18

"The bomb went off outside an electronics shop in the congested Mehrauli market in leafy south Delhi, when afternoon shoppers were out in full force buying for the upcoming Hindu festival season."

"One dead, 18 wounded in bombing in New Delhi," from Agence France-Presse, September 27:

One child was killed and 18 people were wounded Saturday in a bomb attack in a crowded shopping area in the Indian capital, police said.
The bombing came exactly two weeks after several markets in New Delhi were hit by deadly serial blasts claimed by an Islamist militant group called the Indian Mujahideen.
A young boy was killed instantly when he tried to return a bag containing the bomb to suspects who fled the market before the explosion, police said.
"Two young men in black denims, black T-shirts and wearing helmets drove a motorcycle to the market and the pillion rider dropped a polythene bag containing the bomb," deputy police commissioner H.S. Dhaliwal told reporters.
"A 10-year-old boy tried to help and return the bag to the riders but they sped away at high speed and the bag exploded, killing the child instantly," he said. "Eighteen others were injured, three of them critically."
The official said checkposts had been thrown up across the city to hunt for the attackers. There were no immediate reports of anyone claiming responsibility for the attack.
The bomb went off outside an electronics shop in the congested Mehrauli market in leafy south Delhi, when afternoon shoppers were out in full force buying for the upcoming Hindu festival season, and sent passers-by fleeing.
The area was quickly sealed off by police.
"It was lunchtime, and we heard a loud bang. There was smoke everywhere. People were on the ground," a local shopkeeper told AFP.
"I picked up three people, and there were ten other people with injuries on the ground," added Basant Kumar, another witness. "My brother was hit in the ear."
India is currently gearing up for the Muslim Eid al-Fitr celebrations marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan and the Hindu festival of lights, Diwali, next month.
The attack came two weeks after bomb blasts in other New Delhi shopping areas that killed 24 people and injured at least 100.
Several other Indian cities -- Jaipur, Bangalore and Ahmedabad -- have also been hit by serial bombings since May, all of them claimed by the Indian Mujahideen.
Since the New Delhi attacks two weeks ago, Indian police have launched a major hunt for the suspected ringleaders of the shadowy group.
Over the past week, 11 suspected militants have been arrested and two more were killed in a dramatic shoot-out in a mainly-Muslim area of south Delhi.
The government also unveiled security measures to tackle what Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said were "vast gaps" in intelligence gathering.

The sickness of Islam continues and we know that the price of whitewashing and capitulation ultimately is paid by ordinary non Muslims going about their daily lives. Truly this speaks volumes if these non Muslims are expendable to the appeasement of Muslims. A modern day human sacrifice for the blood thirsty Mohammedans and their god allah. Very sad.

Indian Muslims must not be that interested in dying for Allah, only in killing. Otherwise they wouldn't have run away.

That poor child. No good deed goes unpunished.

"India is currently gearing up for the Muslim Eid al-Fitr celebrations "

I hope this involves some sort of military mobilization...

I have no words to express grief about that poor 10-year-old boy who was brought up to pick up and return people's things to them. Just no words.

How could actual human beings do something like this? How could people who call themselves peaceful and Muslims do this? Can any Muslim answer this question?

This is no different from Hindu extremists burning Staines' toddler sons in their car alive.

Wake up jihadwatchers, it's not Islam, it's extremists we need to fight against, extremists of any professed religion.

I have over 8000 articles and hundreds of images and video clips, some pretty gruesome, and links to hundreds of websites, about 150Gb added to daily, on Muslim's and jihad which show that it is Islam.

We are wide awake.

"Extremists of any professed religion"

You must be joking.

Killing for religion, that's Islam, only Islam.

I'm guessing you missed this story about a Mohammedan who was enthusiastically participating in the Ganesh festival celebrations, and was ostracized by his community as a result (they actually wanted to drive him and his family out of that area - remember, you were complaining the other day about how Mohammedans are discriminated against in housing? - Here, they are the ones doing the discriminating, and that too to someone already living there, as opposed to someone thinking of moving in). That ought to tell you who the extremists are. It's really the tolerant ones, like Salman Khan & his father, and Mohammed Yusuf in the cited story, who are the real tiny minority: the bulk of the ummah in India (and worldwide) are the intolerant thugs.

If you are seriously posing your question to Muslims, you won't find them here - go to ummah.net or some other Islamic website, and post your question there. If it's rhetorical, you need to read books by Robert Spencer (your host here), Srjda Trifkovic, Ram Swarup, Andrew Bostom, KS Lal, Bat Yeor, R C Majumdar, Sitaram Goel, and a host of other real historians (not the ones approved by the Arundhati Roys and the Noam Chomskys), as well as Robert's Qur'an blog (link at the top of this page), Ali Sina's Faith Freedom, Islam Watch, where you'll find out that what these 'extremists' are doing is in lock-step with what Islam teaches.

Also, the last two sites that I mentioned above - Faith Freedom and Islam Watch, are two sites run by ex-Muslims, who know exactly what they're talking about. Ali Sina is an Iranian who jettisoned Islam once he read the Qur'an in Arabic and found out what it was really about. The other site - Islam Watch - is run by Bangladeshi apostates from Islam, who've run an identical but independent project, although both these sites now mirror each other, both with common contributors. Unlike your Mohammedan friends, who have every interest in your believing that they have nothing against you, these ex-Muslims, have no vested interests in you becoming anything, and are doing a public service by warning Infidels to steer clear of Mohammedans and warning them of the consequences if they were to anytime convert to Islam.

You would do well to do some reading on this topic and then come here, rather than just rattle off tired old platitudes that have been debunked time and again here since 2005.

Like others: I am terribly saddened by what happened to that little boy who got killed because of his honesty and wish to help.

Isn't it terrible that now - all over the kafir lands - his story may have to be told as a warning to children: if you see a bag/ basket/ parcel etc dropped by someone in the street or left in a shop, do not go to it at once to pick it up and hand it back to its owner who is walking away without it...it may have a bomb inside, ready to go off.

Only the other day, while shopping, I went into a shop and (while buying something) put down on the floor in front of the counter the various bags I was carrying, in which my previous purchases were stowed. When I finished my business and picked up my shopping and went out of the shop, I accidentally left behind one of the bags that I had put down.

I was partway down the mall when the shop assistant came running after me with the bag. I was delighted, of course; but...in light of this story from India...what should a shop assistant, or another customer now do, when someone walks into a shop with bulging shopping bags and, when they leave, just happens to leave one of those bags behind, sitting on the floor beside the counter?

Arjun, you seem to be some kind of Left-wing crook who wants to stir up trouble between anybody, in order to shield Islamic fundamentalism. I agree that any extremist act is wrong, but the fact is that Muslims commit a far mroe disproportionate number of extremist acts in comparison to everyone else. Which religion is Islam not at war with? They're fighting with everyone.

Bollywood movies portrays muslims as very peaceful people. Yeah peaceful aright.

What a sick and sad world we now live in, where even a simple act of kindness by a child is no longer safe. How long before something like this happens in Europe or North America?
