A high school sophomore asked me this week whether Sept. 11 would always be remembered. Would it always be, as she put it, "somber"?Lacking a crystal ball, I have no answer. And, frankly, looking back seven years to that cataclysmic jihadist atrocity, I realize I'm probably not the most dependable prognosticator because never would I have imagined back in 2001 how successful that heinous strike would be in utterly changing us and our world.
Blame ignorance, blame cowardice: The strangest effect of 9/11 has been, on balance, an accelerated campaign of accommodation of Islam's law in the West, a campaign boosted across the globe by the jihadist attacks of 3/11 (Madrid 2004) and 7/7 (London 2005) and many, many others. Paradoxically, such fast-track accommodation has occurred even as any and all connection between jihadist acts and Islam -- specifically Islamic war doctrine -- have been emphatically ruled out by our leaders, both civilian and military. It's not that they have disproven the connection. Worse, they have chosen to ignore it.[...]
Meanwhile, the undermining reach of Islamic law stretches across American society, from the hilltop farm in rural Vermont, where goats are now raised to be slaughtered according to Islamic law, to Wall Street, where once-mighty financial institutions, some of them having become trinkets of Islamic potentates, now adapt themselves to Sharia banking practices, to Washington, D.C., where stately government buildings have been ringed in quasi-medieval, high tech anti-jihad defenses. It may be politically incorrect to notice this expansion of Islamic influence in the West, but it is also extremely difficult not to notice it. Then again, perhaps due to a 9/11 numbing effect, too few of us do.
Just last month, for example, publishing heavyweight Random House pulled a romance novel about Muhammad from its fall line-up out of fear of Islamic violence in New York City -- yawn. Also last month, Mazen Asbahi, Obama's director of Muslim outreach, resigned over ties to the Muslim Brotherhood -- snore. (According to Investor's Business Daily, Asbahi continues to work in some capacity for the campaign.) Last spring, the U.S. government issued guidelines for the Department of Homeland Security and others that "suggest" such terms as "jihad" and "Islamic terrorism" not be used; snooze. Earlier this year, revelations that the No. 2 man at the Pentagon, Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England, was closely assisted by Hesham Islam, "an Islamist with a pro-Muslim Brotherhood bent who has brought in groups to the Pentagon who have been unindicted co-conspirators," according to terror expert Steven Emerson, drew a big yawn, snores and a snooze.
Who could have imagined any of this, back when there was still a massive hole of burning ash at the bottom of Manhattan?...
I couldn't have. But I can now. I see it every day. I wrote about it here this morning. But despite the somber tone of that post, and despite the fact that a realistic appraisal of where we are today vis-a-vis societal accommodation of Sharia gives one every reason to be somber, there is no time today for moping around and feeling maudlin -- however popular these emotions may be in the mainstream. On this 7th anniversary of September 11th, 2001, in my just angry and sorrow, I will not accept any subjection to any form of Islamafacism.
Let it be is also a prayer, a request, and an imploration.
May it be so, let it be so...
In that sense, may we see an end to the nightmare of Islam. May we see an end to the hatred which animates much of the Muslim world. May we see an end to their genocidal Islamic fury. But we must never forget. We must never stop fighting. We must never surrender to the terror and the hopelessness and the despair which is at the core of Islam itself.

Yes it's exactly the opposite reaction of what one might reasonably expect. Why is this? I somehow don't think it's too far off the intended result however. The 9-11 strike was meant to bring us to our knees wasn't it? We seem to be getting there by a different route, but getting there nontheless.

It's a fine, feisty, colloquial informal marching song from Australian urban poet C J Dennis, best known for his slang masterpiece 'The Sentimental Bloke'.
He intended it for use in WW I but with very slight changes in the wording, which I have made below, it fits our present predicament even better; for those who seek a sharia Caliphate are a far more ancient and terrible foe to Civilisation and Humanity, than the Kaiser ever was.
Dennis thought 'onward Christian soldiers' would be a suitable tune but I think it needs a new tune altogether. I waved it in the direction of sheikyermami in hopes he could do something about it.

Well, I think a lot of us were disoriented when those two planes hit the World Trade Center. We weren't used to such behavior and the majority of us were not linking those acts to the take over of the American Embassy in Iran twenty-two years before. But 9/11 was merely a continuation of the plan for Muslims to take over the world and impose Sharia on the rest of us. Same plan, different century, different day.
These folks are continuing their drip campaign, and the majority of Americans have gotten out their umbrellas because they think it's drizzling. They don't understand that Ike is coming to a shoreline near them.
I also think that one of the most egregious practices of Muslims bent on taking over the world is their ability to lie straight to our faces and act like nothing's wrong, "Oh, aren't we all getting along famously," when in fact if I was over in their country on this Thursday in September, 2008, they wouldn't think anything of killing me if it would further their cause. Or their ability to lie when they are claiming aggrieved status as Americans stand by and wonder, what the hell just happened? That ability to lie has furthered their goals, along with the ability to make Average Americans feel guilty in the name of political correctness. Well, I have nothing to lose by flipping off the PC crowd and everything to lose by remaining silent in face of this persistent, relentless and deadly menace.
So I'm with you Robert. Give me liberty or give me death. But if it is death, I'm taking a bunch of them with me.
I have a example,, of how multiculturalism,, with islam is NOT working,,
friend, has this co-worker, who is suni somalian,, 37, 4 or 5 kids,, lalala!!!
He and his family were heading back to somalia for ramadam, 2 weeks holiday, and to visit the family "back home".
Apparently as friend sez,, the dude totally shaved off all his hair,, just before, taking his trip.
He also has 3 young girls,, under the age of 6.
This totally freaked out friend,, when she saw he was sooo shaved, and started thinking about stuff about somalia.
She is now freaking out,, wondering,, if those 3 little girls,, will be mutilated,, on their holiday over there.
it is almost outrageous, that we as a society,, would even think these things of fellow members of society. But their culture,, has it all.
And she is havin' a bit of trouble,, processing,, the fact that 98% of females there are cut,, and now,, has awful vibes about the whole thing,, and cannot stop having that,, what if,, in the back of her mind.
I really don't know what to tell my friend, but then again,, she had a muslima, tell her once,, they only stone people to death with little rocks,, LOLOL!!!

When I was in sixth grade, it was announced that our elementry school graduation song would be the Beatles' "Let it Be". I think my San Francisco grade school considered itself very hip and with-it for picking a Beatles song, rather than an old standard. My first thought was, "what a cool choice!" my second thought was, "what an odd message this is for kids going on to junior high school".
How much more depressing to use this dubious message as a resonse to the mass-murder of almost 3,000 of our fellow citizens.

This website is increasingly covering stories on accommodating the demanding Muslim here in the U.S. I have been looking at this website for a LONG time, and if we were to compare the amount of these types of articles about accommodation to the articles on here just one year ago, I think that we would see a significant statistical leap. It's a frightening sign of the creeping times.

Bravo Robert. I for one will NEVER forget nor will I ever forgive. Before 9-11 I didn't really have an opinion of muslims, and back then I would have Let it Be. But now I am John Doe. I am watching. I am prepared to defend myself, my family, my home, and my country. And I don't care who I offend by saying so. And, thanks to 9-11 there are thousands more like me.
I am dismayed at the lack of public ceremonies to remember the attack. So instead, my child and I prayed at a Catholic shrine and lit a candle for the victims of 9-11, and for our country.

The 2oth Century really began with the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand. It was perhaps the one issue that defined all that followed in that century. I think the 21st really started on 11th September 2001 and that it will similarly serve to define the next century's agonies.

I wish I could say that I'm surprised at the increasing accomdation to the alien culture of Islam, but I had a feeling that it would turn out this way. Two days after I stood on Worth Street and watched the south tower collapse I wrote the following as part of some extensive correspondence:
