Actually, they want a conference on "Islamophobia." But of course, if Muslims really want to end "Islamophobia" instantaneously, here's how they can do it:
1. Focus their indignation on Muslims committing violent acts in the name of Islam, not on non-Muslims reporting on those acts.
2. Renounce definitively not just "terrorism," but any intention to replace the U.S. Constitution (or the constitutions of any non-Muslim state) with Sharia even by peaceful means.
3. Teach Muslims the imperative of coexisting peacefully as equals with non-Muslims on an indefinite basis.
4. Begin comprehensive international programs in mosques all over the world to teach against the ideas of violent jihad and Islamic supremacism.
5. Actively work with Western law enforcement officials to identify and apprehend jihadists within Western Muslim communities.
If Muslims do those five things, voila! "Islamophobia" will vanish.

NEW YORK: Malaysia has proposed that an international convention sponsored by the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) be held as early as next year to tackle the anti-Islamic movement which is rearing its ugly head in several developed nations.Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim said Thursday that the OIC had asked Malaysia to play a major role towards rectifying the misconception of Islam within Western society.
He said this was conveyed to him by OIC Secretary-General Prof Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu during their meeting on the sidelines of the 63rd session of the United Nations General Assembly here.
He told Malaysian journalists that the OIC was confident that Malaysia would be able to take the initiative to counter the misconception towards the Islamic nations because of Malaysia’s commitment and effectiveness in past endeavours.
He hoped that the convention would be attended by influential people like leaders, department heads, intellectuals and non-governmental organisations which support religious tolerance.
“Malaysia hopes that another window can be opened for a more universal understanding of Islam to help in civilisation building,” he said.
He said the United States was chosen as the venue for the convention because of the polemic on Islam in that country as well as the wide media coverage it would get....

Interesting. There's definitely misconceptions of Islam within Western society, chief among them that Islam is a religion of "peace". Moreover, there's another misconception that the September 11 hijackers had "hijacked" the great, peaceful religion of Islam.
Therefore, I'm all in favour of the Foreign Minister to clear up these misconceptions for Westerners and explain how violent Islam is, and can, be. And what a better place for him to start researching this information than to peruse Jihad Watch, Dhimmi Watch or read Robert Spencer's books.
Yes, I too would like him to clear up the misconception on how Islam is compatiable with the U.S. Constitution.
When things could not be more upside down, they ask Malaysia to splain islam to us Westerners. what about we tell them the five points they need to answer and when they ignore, tell them to look in the mirror for their problems. otherwise they can go back to their cesspoolstans.

I really think that these five points are a thing. They're seriously a statement that everyone in the west can subscribe, in fact, I think that they define comprehensively the position that EVERY citizen in the West should have, no matter if he's a muslim or not. Robert's list of things Muslims can do to end Islamophobia should not only be on billboards newspapers and magazines, it should be on t-shirts, TV, everywhere it can put up. Have the OIC, and attending delegates at this convention formally denounce the persecution of Apostates, as a crime against humanity. Then amend the Koran, so as to avoid future misconceptions. That would be number one on my list. This should be treated as a threshold for future talks. When they do this we can talk about other things, which may convince us Kufar that the Koran is non-violent, and that Islamophobia is paranoia.
Actually, Malaysia would be a good place to relocate the U.N. Then they wouldn't have to spend all that time dealing with us decadent capitalists. And we wouldn't have to put up with their unpaid parking tickets and diplomatic immunity crimes.
And we could withdraw our membership (and use the money to correct our financial problems).

I can't wait for this conference. I hope and pray that someone, somehow, will have the opportunity to present Mr. Spencer's list. I'm not optimistic but I would love to see the reaction. I'm so sick of these stupid conferences designed to shut up islam's critics, make muslims look like persecuted victims, and to pressure our lawmakers to pass hate crime bills.
They're holding this conference in the U.S. to influence lawmakers in Washington and to make the bleeding heart liberals feel guilty for not protecting the sacred muslim minority enough. The utter gall of these hypocrites makes me want to scream! I would love to see thousands of protesters outside the conference holding placards with Mr. Spencer's list on them. The only way we will ever beat these sleazy deceivers is to play the game like they do.

So few things are certain in this life. Here are some that are.
No Muslim will even accept the IDEA of doing the five things, much less initiate a plan to do them. They will walk, run, and fly with the unqualified prerogative of representing themselves as the victims in everything other than kow-towing approval and the celebration of the "purity of their moral vision", or whatever Karen Armstrong's latest catchphrase might be.
No government in the Western world will even APPROACH endorsing the desirability of the five things. They will invest their all in fighting something called "Islamophobia", a phenomenon which does not exist, and of which not a single instance could be produced as an example.
Media pundits, journalists, academics, and other assorted champions of right thinking, will always dismiss Robert as a bigot for suggesting that the five things need to be addressed at all. He will be exhorted to see that HE is the problem, and that Islam has no responsibilities whatever.
These are certain. That your children will always love you is not. Neither is that the sun will rise tomorrow morning.
