The international Islamic assault on free speech continues. If this passes, not just caricatures will become illegal. It will become illegal to speak about the elements of Islam that jihadists use to incite violence and supremacism among Muslims. And so we will be mute before the advancing jihad. Of course, it can't happen here, right? After all, we have the First Amendment. But what will happen when the UN starts telling President Obama that opposition to this measure and others like it constitutes Islamophobia, and will severely impede his attempt to build bridges with the Islamic world?

ISLAMABAD: A resolution against the publication of blasphemous caricatures of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) in various countries will be presented in the upcoming session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), an Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) representative said on Tuesday.“The resolution will demand legislation against the publication of blasphemous caricatures of revered personalities and derogatory remarks against religions. It will also demand [sacrilegious] actions be declared a crime,” OIC Secretary General’s Special Representative on Kashmir Ezzat Kamel Mufti told a news conference.
Mufti said a particular group in America and the European Union had been launching attacks against Islam. “However, we should not get emotional and resort to any kind of violence, including suicide bombings,” he said.
That's mighty generous of you, Mufti.
Reality is an "attack on Islam".
This is a losing proposel. With the rise of the internet, in other words, the cat is out of the bag. Those non-Muslims will simply get more creative when it comes to doing more Mohammed cartoons.

Permit me to offer some "blasphemy." Our prompt response to this outrage should include the following actions:
Permanent and immediate eviction of the United Nations from New York City.
Termination of all U.S. funding for that corrupt organization.
An executive order from the President declaring that, for all intents and purposes, Islam is no longer considered to be a "religion" under U.S. law, and will instead be reclassified as a fascist international political cult, and that it is a direct and permanent threat to our Constitution.
Immediate quarantine of the Islamic world, including: the termination of all foreign aid and military assistance; termination of all technological and cultural exchanges of any kind; termination of all immigration and travel to, from, and within the United States for Islamic aliens; immediate deportation of all Islamic aliens currently residing in the United States and its territories; termination of educational and medical access for Islamic aliens; and cutting off of consumables for the Islamic world, including including medicines and food stocks.
Additional declarations, as follows:
1) That the Islamic Ummah is renamed, for legal descriptive purposes, the Islamintern (per Hugh Fitzgerald);
2) That any country or entity that is now, or in future declares itself to be, an "Islamic state," or that has now, or in future includes, the Koran or Islamic law as part of its constitution, or that aids, supports, or otherwise encourages such states or entities, is a defacto member of the Islamintern and that it is in a permanent state of war against the United States and its allies;
3) That the Bush Doctrine ("you're either with us or against us"), coupled with the aforesaid quarantine, strictly enforced, shall be the governing policy of the United States toward the Islamintern and its allies.
4)That the historical figure Mohammed (aka the "Prophet Mohammed") shall henceforth be referred to as the Pirate Mohammed, in due consideration of his offical biography (Sira) and in the official historical reports on his evil doings (ahadith),
5) That the Koran shall henceforth be referred to as the Islamic Manifesto, in due consideration of the totalitarian, supremacist, world-conquering directives unambiuously laid out in that document; and
5) That Islam shall henceforth be referred to as the Islamo-Fascist Death Cult (the IFDC), in due consideration of its amply-documented 1400-year history of death, destruction, and cultural genocide.

It's not clear how such legislation can be imposed on sovereign nations, as long as we remain sovereign. The UN General Assembly can do as it pleases. The US Congress is a different matter.
And how would it be enforced in Islamic countries, which make a habit of deriding and insulting other religions? If this resolution is passed then a lot of imams and government agencies and news organizations in the Islamic world will find themselves under arrest. They publish "blasphemous caricatures of revered personalities and derogatory remarks against religions" almost every day. They can quote a lot of verses from the koran that are insulting of other religions. Almost every sermon will get the sheikh arrested for crimes against another religion. They would have to restrict all preaching and public statements to the Meccan verses to avoid the hate speech. Do Muslims want this resolution turned back on them? It will be.
Passage of this resolution would indicate to more and more Americans (as if there aren't enough) exactly how useless the UN is and how it threatens our freedom rather than preserves it.
If you think this resolution is a good idea then be careful what you wish for. You just might get it.

Are they gonna stop insulting Christian believers with their twisted version of Jesus and the insistence that he was never crucified? Are they gonna rewrite the first sura so it isn't a dig on Christians and Jews? Does the UN allow amendments to such resolutions?
How about the US ambassador adds an amendment disallowing caricatures of President Bush? That'll kill any Muslim states' support for the resolution.

Islam is NOT a religion it is an ideology (judicial, cultural, religious), that is inherently incompatible with our Constitution, does not support human rights and is odiously supremacist.
So, now we need to package these points, and other thoughtful, clear, legitimate proposals (legislative or policy) to send to elected officials, agency heads, courts, and law enforcement. I am doing my part to be heard. I trust this community is also. We can, we must turn this tide.

Does that mean it will prohibit images depicting Jesus Christ dipped in urine, or as a drunken, crucified frog, or his mother rendered in elephant dung?
No, of course not (nor should it, offensive as these images are). Another piece of legislation meant to "defend religions", which somehow manages to refer to Islam only.

Although it would appear these resolutions would restrict the islamists, in actually, what would surface is their ascendancy because they would claim what they are depicting is truth and fact. All the rest of the world produces only insults to Mo and islam...
No worries, the US has no jurisdiction on any city - they have failed to outlaw beheadings in the Islamic Dar Al Suicide Bombing.
