“One of the Iranian religious leaders said if Obama will enter the White House, then Islam will conquer the heart of the American nation”

The man of their dreams

I don’t credit Obama’s “my Muslim faith” comment at all — from the look of the video it wasn’t a Freudian slip, it was just a clumsy way of referring to the charges that he is secretly a Muslim. And as we all know, it is only venomous Islamophobes who are spreading such rumors (which I have dismissed as false from the beginning) — venomous Islamophobes such as…the Iranian mullahs:

“Iranians Hoping for “˜Muslim” Obama Victory,” from Newsmax, September 7 (thanks to Dennis):

Iran’s leadership has expressed “great pleasure” at the prospect of a Barack Obama victory in November, according to Menashe Amir, the Iranian-born head of Radio Israel’s Persian language service.

But Iranian President Ahmadinejad has said he doubts that the American establishment “will allow” Obama to win.

“One of the Iranian religious leaders said if Obama will enter the White House, then Islam will conquer the heart of the American nation,” Amir told Isracast.com.

The Iranian leadership likes Obama “mainly because he is a Muslim,” according to Amir. His first name, Barack, comes from “al-baraq,” which is the name of the horse that Muslims believe Muhammad rode on his way to paradise.

His middle name Hussein is also a Muslim name, and he was “born in a Muslim family,” said Amir.

In fact, Obama is a Christian. His deceased father was a Muslim, and though Obama attended a Muslim school in Indonesia, he never pursued the Muslim faith of his early childhood. While some commentators have suggested that this qualifies him as an apostate “” a “crime” punishable by death according to Islamic sharia law “” Menashe Amir disagreed.

“If he wins the election, Muslims will be very proud of such a conquest, such a win. He didn’t convert [to Christianity] after he was 18. It happened much, much before,” so the sharia law judgment does not apply.

This is exactly what I argued here, long ago.

Not just ‘win over’, but ‘conquer’.

The muslim test for Obama is one simple question…

‘Do you believe Allah is God and Mohammad is his messenger’?

I would really like to hear ‘how’ he would answer that…So far as I know, no one has asked him…

I’m waiting to hear some ridiculous convoluted argument that Iran is trying to fool us by backing Usama Hussein Barack. Remember that big colorful Iranian booth at Usama’s Democratic Convention. (Please excuse any typo’s. I typed this in a hurry.)

The problem is that “born a Muslim, always a Muslim”. Not my idea or a Western idea, but an idea that permeates the Islamic world. The right of the individual to change religions is not recognized. If Barack states that he is a Christian (and there is NO reason to discount this), then the Islamic world views him as an apostate.

And you know what that means……….

I do not believe that Barack Obama is a Muslim. I’m still not voting for him, but his faith has little to do with my decision.

To me its more of a stretch to call Him a honest follower of Jesus than a Muslim. Just paying lip service to Jesus is not faith – faith is identified in scripture with corresponding action that aligns with the declaration that Jesus is your Lord and Savior. Faith without works is dead. People can lie, but works that demonstrate sincerity of a profession cannot be faked. Jesus even said people honor Him with their lips but their hearts are far from Me. Faith is the evidence of things not seen. Is there is enough evidence in BHO’s life to convict him of being a true follower of Jesus???

    Hardly.

BHO is more like saying “I like western culture more than Islamic culture”…when he says Christian.

Then there is Joe Biden, Obama’s running mate–remember, the man who brings “foreign policy experience” to the ticket.

While visiting Israel several years ago, as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, he reportedly told Israeli officials diplomacy and sanctions would be futile against Iran, and they need to accept the idea Iran will acquire nuclear weapons.

Of course, he is probably correct that “diplomacy and sanctions” will not deter the Mullahs–but this does not suggest that Biden considered any other approach to dealing with Iran.

The idea that Israel “needs to accept” a nuclear armed Iran is a troubling one, since Ahmadinejad has been vowing to “wipe Israel off the map”, and nuclear weapons would allow him to do so. Does anyone want to take on trust that this is nothing more than braggadoccio and saber rattling?

None of this, of course, makes Biden himself a Muslim, or a former Muslim, or a quasi-Muslim, or anything like that. But it does make him a damn good Dhimmi–something else that might give Iran’s leadership “great pleasure” at the prospect of an Obama victory in November.

He didn’t convert [to Christianity] after he was 18. It happened much, much before,” so the sharia law judgment does not apply.

Doesn’t the KORAN say that the son of a Muslim is a Muslim from birth? We’re not saying this. MUSLIMS are.

If sharia law cannot be used against Obama because his conversion took place before he was eighteen then why does sharia law apply to women before the age of eighteen, allowing them to be killed if they embarrass dear old dad by such wayward behavior as SPEAKING to a boy?
Why is leaving Islam as a child, when one is assumed to have less capacity to judge – you can’t execute a contract, acceptable to Muslims in the first place?
So the answer is to take all Muslim children away from their parents and raise them in another faith! They’re all under the age of eighteen.

  7. says

In the early days of Islam when the son of a Persian concubine succeeded his father as Caliph the Persians, who always maintained their sense of nationhood even under Islam, said “The son of our sister is now Caliph and the Arabs are humbled.” Once Obama, regardless of his professed religion becomes president, Muslims all over the world will, no doubt say “The son of our brother has become president and the Americans are humbled.”

  8. says

There are many things to worry about Barack Obama in his view of the Middle East and in his view of Islam, including his being opposed to the war in Iraq for all the wrong, and none of the right, reasons, and his dreamy belief that Afghanistan is the “central front” in the war — when if one understood things better one would recognize that there is no “central front” in the war of self-defense against the Jihad that is being conducted worldwide. The Jihad is being waged both against Infidel nation-states, and against regimes in Muslim countries deemed insufficiently Muslim, as well as against non-Muslims in Dar al-Islam — to push them back into submission, as with the Copts in Egypt, or to push them out altogether, as with Hindus and Christians in Pakistan.

There are many worrisome things about Barack Obama and those upon whom he has relied for information in the past (Rashid Khalidi), and at least some of whom he relies on in the present. He has shown no great understanding — none at all, in fact — of Islam. Most of his new, more “acceptable” (because mainstream) advisers, such as some taken over from Clinton — including the egregious Albright and Dennis Ross — are limited. They are wedded to the formulas and understandings and nostrums of the past, the past that was devoid of an understanding of the meaning, and menace, of Islam, and of the various instruments and manifestations of the Jihad — from the killings of non-Muslims in Thailand and the Philippines to the persecution even within already Muslim-ruled lands of Christians, Hindus, and others (see Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Sudan).

And that is not the only problem. As discussed here, Obama’s view of Islam is based on childhood memories, and seen through the prism of that childhood. He attended a school that contained Muslim children from the most tolerant Muslim families (or else they would not have sent their children to school with Christians) in Indonesia forty years ago, at a time when the largely secular nationalists (Sukarno, Suharto) of the early post-war period were still in control. They are no longer, and many in Indonesia appear to be reverting to the full-bodied Islam. He has acquired a skewed view — as skewed as the view acquired by Paul Wolfowitz when he was the naive American ambassador to Indonesia. Furthermore, Obama’s Search For His Roots — meaning his absentee father — introduced him to Islam in Kenya, again mild-mannered: given the Christian majority, it has to be. And forty or fifty years ago, before the Saudi and other Arab money transformed so many mosques even in black Africa, an “Islamic identity” in Kenya might have meant something milder than what it means today.
This is a problem. Unlike the defectors from Islam — Wafa Sultan, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Ibn Warraq — who have experienced the real and undiluted thing, Obama has not. Yet he thinks he knows something about it, and others presume that he does.

Obama may harbor the illusion — he certainly gives that impression — that the mixture as before will do. He thinks we need to “explain” ourselves better. We don’t. We need to understand the meaning of Islam better, and work to identify the various means used to further Jihad — Jihad being the “struggle” to remove all obstacles to the spread, and then the dominance, of Islam, everywhere. We need to exploit pre-existing fissures — sectarian, ethnic, economic — within the Camp of Islam and Jihad. We need to identify, and then undo, the main weapons of Jihad in the West — the Money Weapon, campaigns of Da’wa, demographic conquest. We need to find a clever way to discuss this.

But Obama, like McCain, is still in this area one of Yesterday’s Men. And unlike McCain, there are few signs that he senses the threat. McCain’s problem is that he continues to misunderstand the nature of that threat from Islam, and so believes that a “victory” in Iraq — that is, a stable, unified Iraq — is better for us, for some reason, than an unstable source of permanent Sunni-Shi’a friction that would distract the jihadists away from attacking the West. And were an independent Kurdistan to come into existence, it would be a conceivable cynosure for non-Arab Muslim eyes of non-Arab Muslims throwing off the Arab yoke — and thus would emphatically underline the Arab supremacism that accompanies Islam, and is a natural part of it.

Obama has surrounded himself with the old guard, the weary yet constantly hopeful and misguided peace-processers of the “Arab-Israeli dispute.” In reality, the Jihad against Israel that has no end. There is no solution for it save that of deterrence, or of forcing the Arab side to invoke Darura, Necessity, the necessity of recognizing Israel’s permanent military superiority — or at least its ability to inflict such counter-damage as should end or dampen widespread Arab enthusiasm, so costly to the Arabs themselves, for attempts to undo the Infidel nation-state of Israel. Just look at the names: Dennis Ross, whose entire professional life has been spent ignoring Islam, ignoring the real nature of the war being made on Israel. He can’t admit to that, can’t admit he has missed the main point, and so he continues as before. His amour-proper is at stake. His reason for being is at risk.

And it is no different with Madeleine Albright or other Clinton inheritances. They all have failed to make Islam the center of their study. They have sturdily refused to consult the texts, the tenets, the history of Islam. They are willfully unable to connect the dots between what happens when Christian children are decapitated in Indonesia, Buddhist teachers and monks are killed in southern Thailand, two million Christians are killed in southern Sudan, Copts are persecuted in Egypt, Maronites are on the run in Lebanon, and Assyrians and Chaldeans (their Ba’athist — therefore “secular” — protector Saddam Hussein gone) are either being killed or threatened into fleeing Iraq. And then of course there are the bombs in London and Madrid, the killings and threats in Amsterdam, the hundreds and hundreds of plots uncovered, one after the other, all across Europe, and the ceaseless demands everywhere in the Infidel world by what are at this point already very aggressive Muslim groups and spokesmen. They are engaged in a simultaneous well-financed propaganda effort to convince some (George Bush is a believer) that Islam is a “religion of peace” or, at the very least, is no different from, is just like, “all other religions.” And at the same time, they are pursuing a deadly strategy to everywhere remove obstacles to the spread and dominance of Islam, little by little by little, to force Infidels to accommodate Islam at every step — and what’s more, to become acclimated to this sudden new irruption of Islam into their lives, and to make them feel that there is something disreputable, something not quite right, even about inquiring into the nature of Islam, into the figure of Muhammad. In this way the habit of mental submission that Islam encourages in its own Believers is in turn being encouraged in Unbelievers by Muslims who are determined at all costs to defend Islam from free inquiry, and thus from possible critical analysis.

That is what is so worrisome about Obama. His naivete, combined with the conviction that he “knows” about Islam because of his experiences in Indonesia between the ages of 6 and 10, or because he “knows” about his father, a nominal Muslim, in Kenya, or because he “knows” — how could such a person not know? — that Everyone Wants The Same Thing, All Religions Are Exactly Alike, and The Whole World Is Kin. These are Articles of Faith. They are remarkably like the Articles of Faith of Karen Hughes and George Bush. The main difference is that Bush and Hughes are also defenders of economic privilege. And Obama is a defender of other kinds, more specific kinds, of privilege — including that enshrined in the immoral policy of affirmative action.

When it comes to Barack Obama, there is plenty to worry about.

Obama’s Own Book Upstaged by Allegations in New Exposé

“The Audacity of Deceit” hits bookstores the same day as Barack Obama’s new campaign book, “Change We Can Believe In.” The embargoed book will reveal shocking new research and previously hidden information about the elusive presidential candidate.

Shielded from the media by a strict embargo, the contents of “The Audacity of Deceit” have been a well-kept secret. A limited number of advance copies were mailed out to the media late last week. The cover provides a contrast to Obama’s previous book, “The Audacity of Hope,” and features a rendering of the subject’s official Senate portrait.

“It’s been noted that Barack Obama has written multiple books and no major legislation, but that’s not a coincidence,” says O’Leary. “He’s tried to hide his true beliefs from the American people behind soaring oratory promising ‘hope’ and ‘change,’ but that’s just a smokescreen, and one that’s been very effective. Until now.”

I can’t agree. I watched the video several times. George Stephanopoulis had to break in with “my Christian faith.” To which Hussein then readily agreed with “my Christian faith,” which sounded a lot to me like “Oh, yeah, right, my Christian faith. Sorry, I forgot for a moment.”

I think it was a slip. I think he’s part of the plot to Islamize America. As Mo famously said, “War is deceit.” Plus, the Mo-sanctioned use of al-Taqiyya.

“– it is not enough merely to deny being a Muslim, for that is not the main point, or should not be, in what is worrisome about that “Muslim connection” insufficiently rejected, and without any demonstration of that rejection (a meeting with Ayaan Hirsi Ali might help) — Hugh

Yes. Very alarming. He acts as though his “Muslim connections” are a non-issue. Well, hello, it’s a HUGE issue, and the #1 issue to me and many others. Hussein’s denials are inadequate.

darcy, I agree. I’m not completely convinced with Obama merely saying he’s a Christian. There’s a lot of compelling evidence otherwise from people who have no interest in our elections.

From a World Net Daily article today, re: ‘My Muslim Faith':

    […]

Obama’s campaign several times has wavered in response to reporters queries regarding the senator’s childhood faith.

Commenting on a recent Los Angeles Times report quoting a childhood friend stating Obama prayed in a mosque – something the presidential candidate said he never did – Obama’s campaign released a statement explaining the senator “has never been a practicing Muslim.”

    […]

After attending the Assisi Primary School, Obama was enrolled – also as a Muslim, according to documents – in the Besuki Primary School, a public school in Jakarta.

The Loatze blog, run by an American expatriate in Southeast Asia who visited the Besuki school, noted: “All Indonesian students are required to study religion at school, and a young ‘Barry Soetoro,’ being a Muslim, would have been required to study Islam daily in school. He would have been taught to read and write Arabic, to recite his prayers properly, to read and recite from the Quran and to study the laws of Islam.”

Indeed, in Obama’s autobiography, “Dreams From My Father,” he acknowledged studying the Quran and describes the public school as “a Muslim school.”

“In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell mother I made faces during Quranic studies,” wrote Obama.

    […]

Speaking to the country’s Kaltim Post, Tine Hahiyary, who was principal of Obama’s school while he was enrolled there, said she recalls he studied the Quran in Arabic.

“At that time, I was not Barry’s teacher, but he is still in my memory” claimed Tine, who is 80 years old.

The Kaltim Post said Obama’s teacher, named Hendri, died.

“I remember that he studied ‘mengaji (recitation of the Quran),” Tine said, according to an English translation by Loatze.

Mengaji, or the act of reading the Quran with its correct Arabic punctuation, is usually taught to more religious pupils and is not known as a secular study.

    […]

Obama’s official campaign site has a page titled “Obama has never been a Muslim, and is a committed Christian.” The page states, “Obama never prayed in a mosque. He has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim, and is a committed Christian who attends the United Church of Christ.”

  15. says

The area in Chicago where Obama spent most of his political career is a hotbed of Nation of Islam thugs and the like.

Heck he couldn’t have run for local office there without the blessings of Farrakhan and Wright who run that part of Chicago.

So Obama is quite familiar with the American Muslim scene.

  16. says

Americans are insane if they elect Obama to be president.

The whole Obama campaign has been like watching a great nation commit suicide.

Incidentally, it has been said here that posting critical comments here about Obama is basically preaching to the converted.
I agree; in fact, I have tried to post comments to Youtube raising the issue of why I think Obama is unsuited to be president.
And guess what? I have found that comments on Youtube videos dealing with Obama are being moderated to see if they are “suitable.”

I have never found this whilst posting comments to other Youtube videos dealing with other subjects.

    Has anyone else found this?
Who is behind this policy? Barack Obama or Youtube?

  17. says

I don’t understand these Iranians, or any muslim, but Barak Obama never converted to christianity, for the simple fact that he has never been a muslim. He is a committed Christian. He never prayed in a mosque. He has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim. His paternal grandfather (on his father’s side) was a muslim, but that doesn’t automatically make some muslim.

  18. says

Obama says that he is a 100% Rev. Wright Christian. Rev. Wright went with Rev. Farakan to see Kadafi and some report that Rev. Wright used to be a Muslim. Rev. Wright sells videos with him saying “G– D— America”. Obama’s father was a Muslim and Obama went to a Muslim madrassa for his first 4 years of education. His last 20 years have been spent with Rev. Wright on Sunday. Recently on national TV, Obama used the word “my Muslim faith” to describe his belief. Is this a Freudian slip? I doubt it. I would say that as a community organizer, it was convenient to claim he was a Muslim when he was with Muslims and a Christian when he was with Christians.

Now Obama claims that he is a 100% every day ordinary Christian and not a Muslim. With his above experience, I do not believe that he can claim this. Maybe he can claim 50%. But no way can he claim 100%. His problem is that no one ever heard of a 50% Muslim-Christian.

In 2006, Senatory Obama visited Kenya and provided public support to Raela Odinga. Odinga lost the election, and his supporters went on the warpath against the ethnic group of his opponent, burning some of them in a Christian Church. Odinga is the Kenya politician who named his son after Fidel Castro. In his campaign, he complained about Kenya’s cooperation with the U.S.A. in the war on terror. Odinga also reached a secret agreement with Muslim leaders in return for Muslim support in the election. So Odinga has some scary support from and ties with sharia-imposing terrorist-leaning Muslims. Odinga, like Obama, claims to be Christian, yet was involved hand in glove with efforts to spread sharia in Kenya. (Regarding his Christian identity, years ago, Odinga fled Kenya after being involved in a coup attempt. He left disguised as a priest, then showed up in Norway under a Muslim name requesting asylum.)

Odinga once said Obama was his cousin. Obama, denied it. Let’s give Obama the benefit of the doubt. Odinga is not Obama’s cousin. That only makes it worse, because Obama has no family relationship to excuse his political assistance to Odinga, so his support must come from the heart and be based on shared political beliefs.

Read about some of it here:

    http://africanpress.wordpress.com/2008/08/10/senator-barack-obama-in-kenya-obama-and-odinga-the-true-story/
Also, note this article posted BEFORE the Kenya election, and especially note the second response in which an Odinga supporter states that Odinga will not repudiate the MOU’s because they are already public. This supporter quotes from the MOUs, and in particular interest are MOU 3 and 4:

“MOU No. 3, signed with the Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya: Guarantee no extradition of terror suspects to other countries and elevation of Kadhis courts in the constitution to High court status

MOU No. 4, signed with America: Immediately sign the Anti-Terrorism Bill when he comes to power (with a clause that it will be up to the CIA to find a way of taking the suspects out of Kenya since he has signed another MOU with CIPK not to do that). In return, the US will not refuse to grant visas to his 1 st Vice President and Prime Minister. ”

Whether Odinga is Muslim, or just using them in pursuit of personal power or a left-wing agenda, he is dangerous. Now, he is in a power-sharing arrangement in Kenyan government as a reward for his supporters rioting and murder. I wonder who Odinga supports for President of the U.S.?

  23. says

The following article is no longer on the web. Maybe somebody knows how to find it using the wayback machine? Anyway, here is a quote I took from it back when it still could be accessed in January of 2008:
    http://www.eastandard.net/archives/sunday/hm_news/news.php?articleid=1143955395&date=19/07/2006

“Travelling under different names, sometimes dressed as a priest and other times as a Sheikh, Raila staged a dramatic escape from Kenya by boat at night, through Lake Victoria to Uganda then to Norway, to avoid arrest just before a 1991 Forum for Restoration of Democracy rally at Kamukunji, Nairobi.

That day, Raila was introduced to Kisumu and Ugenya as Father Augustine from Machakos, complete with a priest’s robe.

He arrived in Uganda under the name of Joseph Ojiwa Wadeya. By the time he was leaving Uganda for Norway, his name had changed to Haji Omar, going to Mecca on pilgrimage, complete with a kanzu and a fez.”

I guess deception is okay when your life is in danger, but I wonder which religion Odinga really is?

  24. says

I cannot resist putting in another link, showing how the Odinga family has gotten substantial financial support from radical Muslims. http://ajacksonian.blogspot.com/2008/01/odinga-obama-and-lack-of-courage.html

Now why would a good Muslim such as Col. Moammar Gaddafi (terrorist leader of Libya) or Abdulkader al Bakri (a major Al Quaeda financier based on a captured document – see the article in the link) be helping an infidel Christian politician in Kenya to make money and advance his political career?

And I wonder if any other “infidels” for some mysterious reason have gotten or might be receiving support from these good Muslims?

You have a point but remember, you can find a dhimmi pretty easy just about anywhere in the West. The problem with Obama is that no one is accusing him of being a dhimmi. He has never been seen by anyone as being subserviant to Muslims. On the contrary, he has been seen by many as being right in there with them…as being on their side…one of them. Do you have any pictures of you dressed like a Muslim (see above picture). I don’t and I don’t know anyone who has ever dressed like a Muslim unless they were one.

Of course he would see Obama’s election to presidency as a conquest to Muslims. Obama is one! Think not? Well, let’s see: Paraphrasing Mr. Obama himself, he would side with Muslims were the winds to change (what winds exactly?), “My mMuslim faith”, studied in Muslim schools as a child (Huge giveaway to the discerning mind), who but someone of the Muslim faith would name their child after Barack (the horse’s name on which Mohammad rode), Hussein (a Muslim dictator), and well, I guess he is kind of stuck with his last name. He has campaigned in all 57 states? What American do you know who would make a blunder like that? 48 States, maybe – 57 – Never! He thinks McCain must think we are stupid – Obama obviously thinks we are beyond stupid thanks in great part to the even more stupid press! First rule of thumb: You never blurt out a lie. Second rule of thumb: If you made your bed, you sleep in it. Happy dreams to those of you who would welcome and Obamanation!
