BERLIN, Sept. 19 -- German police arrested two men near Frankfurt on terrorism charges Friday, alleging they were involved in a cell that had plotted to blow up U.S. targets in Germany a year ago.
Federal prosecutors said the two suspects -- a German citizen and a Turkish national -- had traveled separately to Pakistan last year in an attempt to receive training at camps operated by the Islamic Jihad Union, a terrorist group allied with al-Qaeda.
Authorities said the men had shared bank account information and a debit card with three men arrested in September 2007 on suspicion of planning mass bombing attacks on U.S. targets in Germany.
Prosecutors identified the German citizen as Omid S., a 27-year-old of Afghan descent, and said he had received training at a militant camp along the Afghan-Pakistan border during the spring and summer of 2007.
The Turkish man, identified as 27-year-old Hueseyin O., also traveled to the region last year, prosecutors said. Before he could reach the camp, however, he was detained by Pakistani security forces and forced to return to Germany, according to a statement released by the German federal prosecutor's office in Karlsruhe....
Headline should read,
"Two Muslims arrested for jihad activity in Germany"

There are far better, and safer ways for Mr Spencer to enrich himself, than trying to warn the largely unreceptive non Muslim world of the dangers on jihad. Your comment is unwarranted and uncalled for. Mr Spencer is the real patriot.
Afghani Muslim Mr Omid S.'s German 'citizenship' should be about to evaporate.
If a Muslim has acquired citizenship of a kafir country, either by applying for it, or by being born to Muslim parents on the soil of that kafir country, and is subsequently shown to have been engaging in, or planning to engage in, combat jihad against the country of which they are a 'citizen', then that person's citizenship, which clearly means nothing and less than nothing to them, should cease to exist at the same time as their sentence comes down.
How about this?
Once Muslims leave dar-al-Harb they can never come back!
This country (US) and Western Europe need more "Obsession DVD". If enough DVDs are distributed around, then sooner or later some people will be able to connect the two together - Islam means terrorism to the non-muslims.
I wish enough rich people would fund more Obsession DVDs to educate the world once and for all. Every time they see, hear or read about terrorism they can look at it through the "Obsession" microscope and realize the authenticity of the "Obsession" claims.
"Obsession" by itself appears to be an exaggeration against Islam. But when people see what the Islam is doing to this country day in and day out, sooner or later they will come to the natural conclusion that "Obsession" is not an exaggeration but the opposite, Islam terrorism is understated. Islam is much worse than it is portrayed by the DVD.
