What bothers me the most about this is the statement that the sale of alcohol being offensive. Where do these people get the idea that they have the right not to be offended?
I hear it all the time that people have the right not to be offended, but does this mean that offensive things do not have the right to exist? Some of what I drink offends people, so should I stop drinking it? Some of what I eat offends people, should I change what I eat? The way I dress offends some people, should I stop dressing the way I like to? What I believe offends people, should I stop believing it? I own a dog that offends people, should my dog be killed? I think things that offend people, should I stop thinking? I offend people, maybe I should be killed too?

Isabellathecrusader, this is exactly what it is to live side by side with muslims. Here in europe we have experienced this developing in various degrees for years and years. It's like a coup d'etat in slow-mo, slowly are rights are taken away from us and we are gagged so that we can not speak out. We are already second rate citizens in our own countries, not as much thanks to the muslims but rather thanks to the traitors of politics and media who has sold us out to a culture of savages from the middle east. In a way I'm glad, and don't misinterpret me on this, that it is now happening in USA as well because americans are more prone to fight back than we are and you have guns too so it's more risky for them to riot in the states, so to speak.
Unfortunately only british citizens can sign that petition to stop sharia in britain. However, there is also a petition to stop sharia in Sweden and you don't have to be swedish to sign this one. It's going a bit slow, just some 800+ signatures so far although it has been up for quite awhile. So we would be grateful for any help to stop these barbarians.

Two years ago, in Le Figaro, on September 19th, French schoolteacher Robert Redeker commented acerbly on the fact that the wearing of 'le string' (i.e. the thong bikini) on the Paris beaches was banned, for fear of offending Muslims, whereas in his eyes the Muslim woman wearing the veil in French streets was a far greater offence.

Mohammed Ahmed, 32, was employed at the supermarket giant's Lichfield depot in September last year for a job that included transporting various goods on fork-lift trucks.
The Saudi Arabia national told a tribunal he had not been told when he started the job that he would be handling alcoholic drinks - a task he said was against his Islamic beliefs.
The situation came to a head in the run-up to Christmas last year, when more alcohol was ferried to the warehouse in preparation for the festive season.
Mr Ahmed, who moved to Derby in 2006, complained to Tesco in February, but claims he was treated unfairly as a result. After eight months working for the company, he left in protest.
The decision on his legal action, after a three-day employment tribunal held in Birmingham, is expected next week.
He said: "It's in our religion that we are not allowed to handle alcohol. In the UK there's equal opportunities that should protect me and my beliefs.
"I was asking for my rights. I am not saying I am a perfect person but there was a conflict with my beliefs."
Tesco claimed Mr Ahmed was made aware at his induction that he would be handling alcohol, and that every effort was made to find him an alternative role in the warehouse. But the claimant, of Upper Dale Road, Normanton, claims he was victimised by managers because of his stance.
A Tesco spokesman said: "Cases like this are very rare as managers are trained to be culturally sensitive and have an 'open door policy' to staff for issues like this as everyone is welcome to work at Tesco."

In parts of Sydney we have alcohol free zones, where you can't drink alcohol if you sit on a public bench.
I wonder if that's a muslim initiative.
Muslims are only against alcohol when it suits them. It doesn't prevent them from selling wine & beer in their corner shops or other items such as wine vinegar and products with alcohol added like steak & ale pies.
Muslims in Dunedin, New Zealand were successful in having a liquor licence refused after petitioning the council that the venue was too close to their mosque. When I was in that country in 1999 there wasn't an established mosque in Dunedin. Now Muslims are boasting that it is the most southerly mosque in the world with no doubt many more to follow.

Your comment wondering when Muslims might start blowing up pubs reminded me of reading an account by someone who was there of what it was like to be under siege in a barricaded pub, with hundreds of Muslims outside, trying to burn it down by throwing rocks and petrol bombs.
I can't recall the exact source of that account, maybe someone else might know. But Wikipedia has something similar in the entry on the oldham riots of 2001:
"On Saturday, 26 May, the Live and Let Live pub, which was occupied at the time, was pelted with bricks, stones and petrol bombs. Several cars were set ablaze including an occupied police van. There was an attack on a pub about 4 years ago in a tough area of Wrexham which is just over the Welsh border. Kurdish "asylum seekers" were reported to be responsible and we had white and black British fighting side by side against them. Only the barest reports got into the MSM but it is said that when the police arrived they only started hitting one side - guess which?

Muslims started arriving in numbers in the 1990's as NZ's quota to take refugees from war zones. The NZ government say they don't know how many Muslims are in the country as population numbers are listed under the 42 different ethnic groups and do not record religions.
I saw one estimate given as 25,000 Muslims but more recently the total is thought to be 1% of the total population of 4Million ie 40,000. There are many converts from the Maori race who have had a long battle with the government over land rights. Although Maoris have received substantial sums from the NZ government and have been given vast tracts of land in the South Island, the problem seems to be still festering. The idea of jihad would certainly appeal to the warrior mentality of the Maori.
New Zealand is always left off the radar as far as world affairs are concerned and little is reported on Islamification of that country.
One out spoken politician, Winston Peters has expressed his fears 'Islam is a many headed Hydra waiting to strike'. He also questioned Muslim loyalty to NZ. My concern is that this tiny nation could easily be overwhelmed by an aggressive, proselytising political system which, as yet, the host nation seems totally unaware of what the true Muslim agenda is working towards.

What you say about resettlement of people from war zones is interesting.
Last week in a bout of insomnia I turned on the TV at 5.00am and picked up a story on BBC world news. It was about a Palestinian woman and her teenage children who had been resettled under a UN scheme from a refugee camp in Kurdish Iraq to ICELAND. Apparently her camp had been protected by Sadam Hussian but since his fall the Kurds wanted them out but of course the BBC did not say this.
It was the usual BBC line about dispossessed people at last finding a home and liberal Icelanders mentoring them as they settled in and a short comment to the effect some Icelanders were not too happy with the scheme. However the BBC said the whole thing was such a success it was being extended and more would be on their way.
The interesting thing was the Icelanders would only take single mothers and their families. This suggests they have seen what is going on in other western countries when complete families are allowed in and wish to avoid it happening to them. Muslim women with young children and no men are unlikely to cause trouble.
The questions I would ask are,
When did the UN get the right to resettle people from all over the world in the west and when did we vote the power to our governments to allow it?
Who is twisting western governments arms and why are they allowed to do so?

I also want to thank those who signed the petition. I'm not the owner of that site but just wanted to spread the link as a way to get more signatures. What it says in swedish is basically what it would mean to us kuffar if it was implemented in our country. I thought that you people that visits sites like this already know what sharia means so I skipped that part and didn't bother to translate it as I'm sure you already know how barbaric sharia is. Someone asked what the word "ort" means, it means location.
We had a situation here a few years ago when a dodgy boat, the SIEV, full of "asylum seekers" - all Muslims - sank on its way to our shores. Most drowned. There was much handwringing and the Australian government was blamed by the media; I can't remember what excuse everyone used to blame the government.
What was little-known at the time was that the Muslims on the boat had kicked all the non-Muslims off the boat before they left Indonesia. They said the non-Muslims (from some pre-Christian sect) would bring them bad luck. The boat even had to be "cleansed," Islamic-style, of the former presence of the non-Muslims.
Nobody mentioned this in any but one tiny article, once. The Muslims who survived are always portrayed as civilized, lovely people.
However, the non-Muslims were the lucky ones for not being allowed on the boat. Ultimately they all went to NZ, which has a more tolerant immigration policy than us. (Although we are all more or less suicidal in this respect.)
How exactly is selling alchohol offensive anyway? They're not forced to buy it or even enter the store. If this is taken to it's logical conclusion, then they must want alchohol banned from the entire town, all of Britain, and the whole world. Would the sale of a beer at, say, a Peruvian soccer stadium also offend them?
Maybe they should direct these offended folks to google-search "Prohibition in America, effects"

Quite hypocritical I would say considering that the best you can strive for in Islamic life is to get into an all-inclusive (unlimited food, wine and sex ...
