Journalist, tourist, or...jihadist?
He says he was just visiting a friend. Of course. Maybe that's how John Walker Lindh, pictured above, aka Johnny Taliban, the Marin County Mujahid who was captured in Afghanistan fighting alongside Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, got to the area as well. "American Man Arrested Near Afghan Border in Pakistan," from AP, October 13 (thanks to PRCS):
PESHAWAR, Pakistan — Pakistani police arrested a 20-year-old American man late Monday in a militant-infested area close to the Afghan border, an officer said.Officers were investigating why the man was in the area, said officer Pir Shahab. The region has seen months of fighting between Taliban and al-Qaida extremists and is believed to be a possible hiding place for Osama bin Laden and other foreign extremists,
He said the man — identified on his passport as Juddi Kenan — was arrested at a checkpoint while trying to enter Mohmand tribal province without the special permission to be in the region required by Pakistani law....
Asked whether he was believed to be a journalist, a tourist, a soldier or a militant, Sahab said: "These are the questions we are trying to investigate."
Another police official, Marjan Khan, said the man was wearing a traditional Pakistani dress and appeared to be a civilian.
"He has told us that he was a student at a community college in Florida and wanted to enter the tribal region to see a friend," Khan said....
Yeah, sure, that's it. Nothing to see here. Move along.
He looks filthy on the outside too...
Hmmm.....In the custody of the Pakistani "police". For a split second, I almost felt sorry for that guy....nyahh.
He was looking for a good Muslim school for his kidz...
Here's the song: Harry the Taliban

At first glance I thought it was Jim Carrey in make up for one of his zany roles. LOL
sorry Jim
I know the thread isn't about the photo, but I have to say it--next to Lindh, Charlie Manson looks almost sane.
As for Juddi Kenan, I wonder if he will be given the three Islamic options.
Greetings:
I knew it; those damn Pakistani police are "profiling" Americans. I'm reporting this to the PCLU immediately.
"I was visiting a friend"...
"I was a tourist"...
"The gun-fire into the air was not shooting at the plane, it was a wedding celebration"...
"Jihad means 'personal struggle' "...
"He was just a guy I knew in the neighborhood"...
We can only imagine who his friends are that he intended to 'visit'.
How did he get to where he was arrested?
Who paid his way?
Who coached him on how to dress, behave, and answer police?
What's his real reason for being there?
His presence and story don't pass the smell test...
Jihad Johnny does not pass it either, that's a good zombie like photo...Love those evil eye's...
I be there's more to this story that we might never know. Maybe he was under-cover? If we don't hear anything more about him especially. He looks as if he might not stand out like a sore thumb, especially with his insane demeanor. Either that or he was looking for his friend, Adam.
I wuld just implant him with a tracking device and something else that may be "useful" and let him "escape".

"He has told us that he was a student at a community college in Florida and wanted to enter the tribal region to see a friend,"
From a neighborhood school in Florida across the ocean and across a continent or two just to "see a friend". That's what I call going global!
So people in the tribal areas aren't as isolated as we thought. They also are world travelers.
I wonder what website he became acquainted w/ his friend through.
He didn't attend Rev. Rights Sermons did he. Some Americans really take their self loathing seriously. If he didn't have Mom and Pops help in getting over there, i'm sure he was having a struggle, of sorts.
Makes you wish he ran short of bottled water along the way.
