A British man and his South African colleague became the latest victims of deteriorating security in Kabul when they were shot dead outside their office by a security guard who then killed himself.The shootings occurred on the eve of the funeral of Gayle Williams, the British charity worker killed last week, who was buried yesterday in the Afghan capital’s British cemetery.
The British Embassy named the dead Briton as David Giles, 42, the country director of the international courier DHL in Afghanistan. He died with Jason Bresler, the freight company’s South African deputy director, when an Afghan security guard at the DHL offices sprayed their car with automatic fire as they arrived for work on Saturday. The guard placed the gun under his chin and shot himself.
Officials said that they remained unsure of the motive for the killing and were investigating the guard’s background. Some reports suggested the man joined the British-run security company that protected DHL only a month ago. “No one knows if this person was recruited [to carry out the killing] or there was infiltration of the enemy,” said Zmarai Bashery, spokesman for the Afghan Interior Ministry.
A spokesman for the Taleban denied involvement in the killings. Privately, Western officials said that Taleban involvement in the latest attack was not thought likely....

Um, I'm pretty sure they're all on the side of the jihadists unless they're somehow able to dig up one of the two or three Hindus or Sikhs left in Afghanistan. What's the bounty on bin Laden's head? Has anyone turned him in after 10 years? All Muslims are on the side of the jihadists unless there's some personal gain to be had on their part, and then that's only fleeting, opportunistic loyalty, like with the Shi'ites in Iraq. I think even the burka'ed Afghan women are on their side. I would trust a Muslim to maybe save a parking space for me for a few minutes, but I would never trust a Muslim with my life.
Without western trade and investment, Islamic countries would quickly collapse. If businessmen from western businesses keep getting murdered simply their presence and for conducting routine business, there will soon be no businesses willing to have a presense in those countries. The cost will simply be too high. Western governments could hasten that end by making trade and contracts, whether by governments or private businesses, with Islamic countries illegal. At a minimum, that would force Islamic countries to begin to use their vast resources from oil to feed and care for their own people rather than using those resources to build mosques and fund madrassas and radical imams around the world. It would also put them on notice that such behavior is simply unacceptable in civilized societies and that they will be ostracized from the world community until that behavior changes.

how cares what they believe in. everybody knows how islam behaves. whether its a one on one shooting or a 3000 death shooting. its all done for the same reason: death foe infidels!
When will the West stop going to these countries to do business with/rebuild? When are the West going to pull out of Afghanistan/Iraq, cut all business, travel and aid to them and just let them destroy one another?
It's high time we in the West started bothering about our Christian/Non Christian/Non Muslim citizens and spending our money on our people, not for aid to help some kid/man/woman in a war torn Muslim country, who has a high percentage chance of becoming and Islamist/breeding and creating more Islamists who will attack the West yet again?
If we want to stop Islam from Islamising the West then really it's quite simple - REMOVE ISLAM FROM THE WEST AND DO NOT ALLOW IT BACK.

No sympathy for the people shot unfortunately. I'm not cold hearted or uncaring, far from it, but they do happen to be in a War Zone, incidentally where the residents are fighting the dead people's countrymen. It seems madness to want to go there, but it appears that money to them is more important than their lives, obviously.

I suppose that if any Western politician had the common-sense and the guts to do that, Mein-Qurampf readers all over the world would simply sit on their rear ends, or bend over with their snouts facing Mecca, and wait for Allah (the non-existing, the imaginary) to start doing for them the same favors that those ingrates now get from the always-too-stupidly-ready-to-help Infidel West. I'd be really nice to see what they'd get out of doing that.
Maybe we could expect a few of them to eventually wake up from their inshallah-induced suspended animation and try to get on with their lives, without expecting anything from their imaginary deity ever again. But that would be too much to expect from the majority of them.

How many American soldiers in Iraq have been killed by those Iraqis whom they have been training, or in whose units they have been embedded, only to be turned on quite suddenly? How many NATO soldiers have experienced the same kind of sudden attack, or suspect that some of the Afghans they work with are not to be trusted? And the Intifada of the "Palestinian" Arabs began not when Sharon visited Temple Mount, as Arab propagandists like to say, but a week earlier, when an Arab officer suddenly shot and killed an Israeli officer, a colleague with whom he had supposedly been engaged in joint, and friendly, collaboration in keeping the peace.
The Americans have finally learned, at a very slow rate, and much later than they should, how meretricious are their Muslim "allies" in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan. They find this true with governments, and they find it true with officers and men.
