The breaks, he said, would inconvenience everyone else.
"The Latino is very humble," said Garcia, 73, who has worked at the plant, owned by JBS U.S.A. Inc., since 1994. "But they are arrogant," he said of the Somali workers. "They act like the United States owes them."Garcia was among more than 1,000 Latino and other workers who protested a decision last month by the plant's management to cut their work day — and their pay — by 15 minutes to give scores of Somali workers time for evening prayers.
After several days of strikes and disruptions, the plant's management abandoned the plan.
Does anyone understand exactly how so many Somalis are coming in? I generally like African immigrants -- we have a lot of them in the District of Columbia -- even if I find it hard to understand what the guy at the counter at Wendy's is asking me. But why are unskilled immigrants coming in in such numbers? Is this happening legally? It can't be a result of the green card lottery if there are so many from one country in one place, and I can't imagine that mean packers are coming in as skilled workers whose like can't be found in the U.S. population. Just wondering.

Even though I don't think the US should become Mexico North, I have nothing but respect for the Mexicans who are living here. They make good neighbors. I cannot say the same of the Somalis.
The Somalis are coming in under a bogus story that the US State Department continues to believe and support. Supposedly, the Somalis arriving in the USA belong to a 'sub-clan' that has been continually persecuted by other Somali clans. As you might imagine, objective reports of the immigration process are filled with corruption, money and deception. Still, they keep coming. Large billboards welcome this 'clan' to Kenya on their way to the United States. In the meantime, the small community of Somali Christians, true refugees from fanatical Muslims, live in poverty and fear in Kenya, especially by their fellow Muslim Somalian neighbors and without a way out of a truly bad situation.
Hopefully, Raul Garcia will visit sites like this. He looks like a leader caught directly in a war front with the Islamic enemy and needs all the ammunition he can get.

I guess that's just like the way muslim immigrants (or, rather, hordes of invaders) to Western Europe regard the welfare benefits that they get from the infidel governments that they want to replace with shari'a and a caliphate. They certainly either regard it as Jizya, or as a gift from Allah (the imaginary, the invented-by-Mohammed-the-pedophile), for which they have no reason to thank the foolish infidels that bend over backwards to both appease them and allow them to enjoy a level of comfort that they'd never be able to have in the economic wastelands of the "shari'a paradises" that they're from.

And, Duh-Swami, the Latino immigrant of today is more often than not Pentecostal or Evangelical. It's not just Romanism that's profiting from their immigration.
But, is all this new? Conflict between different immigrant groups is as American as apple pie. Yesterday, it was the "Ikes and the Mikes" (E. European Jews against Irish) and other conflicts. Tomorrow it may be white Europeans against West Africans. Further, among Iranian-Americans, Christians from Muslim backgrounds have been quietly sneaking up numerically on those of Assyrian and Armenian heritage. In the school where I teach, which serves an area with numerous West African immigrants, there is a defection from Islam underway among both young immigrants and their parents. The same may happen to Somali immigrants before too long.
Look, the whole trouble with Islam is that it denies that Jesus Christ is God incarnate and that he died on the cross for our sins. As long as those of us who are Christian try to denature our religion as just another tepid moralism, or try to get trendy by having Episcopalian bishops showing off in Gay Rights parades, we will be vexed by Islam. If we re-appropriate the Biblical Gospel, it will be Islam that whimpers.
It's a good idea to read Ayaan Hirsi Ali's book "Infidel" to get a good glimpse into the Somali mindset and the reinforcement it receives from Islam.

(And, by the way, anything interesting and worrying that they learn about Jihad and Sharia, is likely to be filtered back along their family grapevines to their countries of origin, Mexico and suchlike, which would be a Good Thing, too).
Mr Garcia needs to know that his commonsense reading of the Muslims' behaviour - of their selfishness, arrogance and sense of entitlement, their supremacism - is 100 % correct, and that that attitude, which he and his fellow non-Muslim co-workers find so infuriating, is the product of the 'sacred' texts of Islam.
Copies of 'Fitna' dubbed or subtitled in Spanish should be set circulating in the Hispanic/ Latino community in the USA.
Has 'Islam: What the West Needs to Know' been dubbed, or at least subtitled, in Spanish? If not, it needs to be, ASAP.
Mr Spencer's "The PIG to Islam and the Crusades" has been, I think, translated into Spanish. ACT for America should be working hard to get copies of the Spanish version into the hands of people like the Latino workers at Swift; since although people like Mr Raul Garcia are doubtless fluent in English, there would be many other Latino migrant workers who are currently more comfortable in Spanish and need to be reached in Spanish, ASAP.

Newsflash, Kepha: There are plenty of non-Christians (Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Wiccan, Atheist etc...) who post here. Lord knows, I'm one of the few openly gay posters. Jihadism threatens all of us equally.

A BBC reporter recently visited Mogadishu which is now under protection of African forces (Ugandan I think) but heavily armed gangs of Muslims continue to terrorise the city killing anyone who happens to get in their way. In 20-years of civil war Somalians have managed to turn their country into a ruin. Nothing grows or thrives there. The town has been turned into a dust bowl. There is hardly a building that has not been wrecked or blown up. US food aid arrives daily by air but aid workers have long since gone due to the violence and aggression shown to them. When the women see TV cameras they push their starving and sick children to the front. The thought of lowering their birthrate has never occurred to them.
The West must stop allowing Somalian Muslims into their countries. They bring a load of Islamic baggage with them and will never assimilate or adopt the host nations way of life. Somalian Christians who are being murdered as we speak should be given priority.

I start to see that Tolkien's poetic/ fictional image of the Dark Lord, darkness reaching out to cover and devour the earth, hordes of murderous vandalistic orcs, may have been inspired by the historic reality of the Empire of Islam and its effect on every place it managed to invade and colonise.
This is why we have to isolate them in their hellholes. The next time they have a full-scale revolution they'll put a Bush in power, not a Khomeini, but only if we isolate them and force them to cannibalize. Islam without non-Muslims to parasitize is like communism afte rthe class enemy is killed off, or Mussolini fascism without new lands to conquer. It cannot sustain itself for five minutes. If only our leaders would realize this. No matter what we do in Iraq, no matter how long we stay there, the Iranians will come in and try to take over. If Europe and the rest of the free world would stop letting them in and stop enabling their parasitism we could exploit this and let them just kill each other.
We would, however, have to intercede on behalf of Israel and India, particularly India because Pakistan has nukes. they're distracted in Afghanistan right now, but that's only temporary.
Divide and conquer, not so much. Shove 'em all together and let them kill each other. We could undo Islam in 20 years max with this strategy. ANd of course, no more overseas jizya. So simple. So cheap. So respectful the lives of those who deserve to live because they believe in the pervasiveness of the Golden Rule.
Our town in the North of England is getting its quota of Somalis and up to now they have been quiet but given the censorship in the UK we cannot say for certain what they are doing. The government insists they are enriching our community.
Looking at a Somali woman this week, shrouded in black with a baby in a new pushchair which was probably provided out of our taxes and trailing 3 children under 8 years old all fitted in new school uniforms also probably provided out of our taxes I could not see how.
They have however been forced to admit to a downside to this enrichment, nationally Somalis are “over-represented” in knife crime. This is PC speak for; “A lot of them go around stabbing people, too many for even us to ignore, and we agree this is not nice and we must explain to them it is not nice.”
BTW I picked up a report from the BBC world service that if Iceland did not have enough problems with its Banks it is taking in Iraqi Kurds. I wonder who twisted their arm? Do we need any more proof that western governments have a policy of covert islamisation?

The consequences our politicians are afraid of are OPEC getting p.o.'ed at us and jacking up the price. We need to make the water vapor car already. That will fix our economy. That will put Detroit back on the map. That will effectively end Saudi terror financing and poisoning of our schools.
Oil is all they have to offer us, and we need it. So we have to not need it anymore.
Time them to check out and go back to their pathetic dung pile of a country. We need locust more than Somalis.

It's interesting how life imitates art, and vice versa, isn't it? You see Muslims and Islam through a Tolkien lens.
I see them through a Roddenberry lens: To me they are like the Borg. The Borg aliens never assimilate to their victims ways, but assimilate the victims themselves, making more Borg.
I have really got to read Tolkien, though. I like the movies. The books have got to be even better.

I live in Florida, and know more Spanish than I ever wanted to learn, via bi-lingual signs and billboards. I never thought blanket amnesty was a good thing, but I'd damned sure fight along with Latinos, versus Muslims, if it came (when it comes) down to a fight.
Overall, Latinos are just better people.

Tolkien was a devout Catholic and a life-long scholar - his area of interest and study-in-depth was the medieval period. He would have known all about the Crusades, and he would have known all about Islam's continuous Jihad against Christendom - both eastern and western - that began in the 7th century and was not seriously halted until 1683 at Vienna.
I have no doubt that his fantasy epic of Middle Earth is inspired or coloured, at least in part, by his reading of texts and histories out of that period when western and eastern Christendom were both struggling for very life against the Mohammedan onslaught. For example: Minas Tirith feels like Jerusalem, Rome and Constantinople all rolled into one. The ride of the Rohirrim to the rescue of Gondor is, I think, a kind of tribute to the ride of Jan Sobieski and his Winged Hussars to the relief of Vienna in 1683.
I'm not saying that Tolkien was writing 'allegory' - far from it. Rather, that elements and episodes in the thousand-year-plus struggle between Christendom and the Empire of Islam - an Empire of Darkness - may be the real life examples that fed (and kindled) his imagination.
Oh, and those engaged in the struggle against the Stealth Jihad - especially those in Britain, France, the Netherlands - could do worse than read the chapter of 'Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" which is entitled 'The Scouring of the Shire'.

I'm sorry, but I'm of a different opinion. The way I see it, the trouble with Islam is Muhammed. He's the Islamic poster boy for Muslim behavior and beliefs, and he wrote the filthy Qur'an, that millstone that takes away the humanity of Muslims.
