Who were the Hindus and Buddhists invited to this conference? As far as I know, there were none, and the Conference was held in Madrid (not quite the same thing as being "hosted by Spain"),not Saudi Arabia, because Christians and Jews ("three abrahamic faiths" etc.), the supposedly "protected" People of the Book, are tolerated in Saudi Arabia only as diplomats (Kissinger can come calling, very briefly), as wage-slaves to keep things running, or as foreign troops to protect, as "blue-eyed slaves," the Al-Saud and their rule, from enemies foreign and domestic.
And at the end of the Conference, some kind of statement was issued, in the name of all the participants, which had not been seen, much less agreed to, by many of the non-Muslim participants, and though these were people of the kind willing to go far to collaborate in this interfaith-racket stuff the Saudis and other Muslims have been smokescreening all over the known universe, they were not willing to have attributed to them the sentiments of the closing document.
Couldn't the AP have described the "Madrid conference" accurately? Couldn't it have found out who was invited, who came, and what the results were? Just too hard to find out? Why? What else do the people who work for AP have to do with all that time on their hands?

The proposal was shot down in flames (I am happy to say) by both the PM Mr Rudd and by the Leader of the Opposition, but I am sure it will resurface.
What makes it relevant here is that the Muslims are sticking their oar in, and a Muslim spokesperson is prominently quoted in both articles saying how he thinks it would be a great idea for the Aussie Parliament to stop saying the Lords Prayer. I wonder how many of the 'complaints' from 'members of the public' about the use of the prayer, that Harry Jenkins the Speaker said he'd received, were from Muslims?
I sent the story to Marisol in case jihadwatch/ dhimmiwatch would like to showcase it; but in the meantime I'm linking it here *now* anyway with an urgent call to all Aussie jihadwatchers to click on the Canberratimes link, and look on the right hand side of the story where they are running a 'reader poll', asking people whether the prayer should be kept, or not.

I urge all aussie jihadwatchers to join the poll and vote yes even if you're not a Christian - for this sole and sufficient reason, that the public recitation of a Christian prayer in a non-Muslim seat of government is a total act of anti-dhimmitude.
The Muslims would be DELIGHTED if we dropped this practice - because they would interpret it as the Australian government, no less, submitting to the sharia rule for dhimmis which says that Christians (or for that matter any other non-muslim faith group) MUST NOT recite their prayers in public nor even say them in private loudly enough for Muslims to overhear.
The 'Australian' article doesn't allow for talkbacks, but the Canberra Times article does. Have at them!
And just look, at the end of the Canberra Times piece,at this piece of pure BS and treacly taqiyya from "Australian Federation of Islamic Councils president Ikebal Patel" who " said the prayer should be non-denominational and include a recognition of the indigenous owners of the land" (excuse me while I ROFLMAO - the only 'owners' Muslims will ever recognise, is themselves - they didn't exactly 'recognise' the Spanish as the 'indigenous owners' of Spain when they invaded it, did they?...).

Polite but scathing letters to Mr Bob Brown, Mr Harry Jenkins and Mr Rob Oakeshott would also be in order. Remind them that no-one in Parliament is COMPELLED to say the prayer, anyway - so Brown's jibe about 'rote recitation' is nonsensical.
One can point out, inter alia, that most Aboriginal people are in fact Christian, many of them more fervently so than Euro-Australians, so the dropping of the prayer would be a slap in the face for Aboriginal Christians just as much as for others. Further: there is no reason why formal recognition of indigenous people, and the recitation of the Lord's Prayer, should be seen as mutually exclusive - especially since the Prayer itself has been translated into a great many of Australia's indigenous languages. Suggest to Mr Brown that if he wants to express solidarity with Aboriginal people, he can read the Kriol bible and learn the Kriol version of the Prayer!
But the point that really needs to be hammered home (and this should go into 'Letters to the Editor' to the Australian newspaper, as well) is that any demand, coming from *Muslims*, that we not say this prayer publicly in our seat of government, is at bottom a political-supremacist demand that we non-Muslims should submit to the Rules for Dhimmis; and that it is as much as our freedom and self-respect are worth, for us to resolutely refuse to give way to any such demand.
Tell these idiots, like Brown, about Dhimmitude: that it is a vicious religion-based apartheid that rendered, and renders, the lives of non-Muslims in Muslim-dominated lands a state of degradation, humiliation, and physical insecurity - and explain about the Rules for Dhimmis. rules that suppress and erase all public religious expression of any faith other than Islam.

remember - that's just the 'Canberra Times', which is not a large newspaper (Canberra is not a very big town, less than a million people). They tell you how many people have voted in their little poll - when I put in my two cents, exactly 18 people had done so, I don't know how many it is by now, but any statistician will tell you that 18 isn't a representative sample! Even 100 wouldn't be.
And remember - both our PM and our Leader of the Opposition have said, 'the prayer stays'. So don't give up on Australia just yet.

If the Saudi King really wanted to promote peace the "interfaith dialogue" would be taking place in Saudia Arabia. With Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists and people of all faiths being welcome as equals with Muslims.The fact that these "interfaith" conferences are being held outside of the Islamic world is proof of Muslim insincerity.The "interfaith" nature of these conferences is only to give cover to Islam.
The USA should wage ware on Arabia, assume control, move the vanquished onto reservations, implement representative democracy based on the Constitution of the United States, pump oil.
