The sharia court issuing this "punishment" says that she not only confessed to adultery, but insisted on being "punished for the crime she committed."

"She admitted in front of the court to engaging in adulterous sexual intercourse," he added.
"She was asked several times to review her confession but she stressed that she wanted Sharia law and the deserved punishment to apply."
The execution was carried in one of the city's main squares.
The port of Kismayo was seized in August by a coalition of forces loyal to rebel leader Hassan Turki, and the Shebab, the country's main radical Islamist insurgent organisation.
Turki is listed as a terrorist financier by Washington.
The new administration formed there began implementing a strict form of Sharia (Islamic law).
"This afternoon we are telling the people of Kismayo that we are practising a punishment that is rare in this region and was carried out in Kismayo for the first time," Sheikh Hayakallah said.
Cameras were banned from the public stoning but print and radio journalists were allowed to attend.
"She was asked several times to review her confession but she stressed that she wanted Sharia law and the deserved punishment to apply.
I bet she changed her mind with the first rock that made contact.

I'll help - This is cultural, it has nothing to do with Islam. These people are misunderstanders of Islam. We are offended that you would bring this to our attention. Other religions do this..........we just can't remember any examples.
She may have asked for Sharia law so she could leave her ugly Islamic society. Women kill themselves in greater number in Muslim cultures because they are so sexist and brutal for women.
It is my hope that some brave soul might bring a hidden camera to one of these stonings so feminists in the West can see what they have been remaining silent about for too long.
All people in the West need to do in order to turn against Islam is to see it practiced in its fullness. It is a brutish, unjust, and violent religion when practiced rightly. Islam is toxic to humanity.

"A deep hole is dug in the ground. A 30 year old lady, tied up from feet to shoulders, as a stick, is lowered alive into this hole, in a standing position. Only her neck and head are visible. Can you imagine a human head sticking above ground?
"When the order is given, a man throws a fist-sized stone at her protruding head. The stone hits her head with a thud. She screams in pain as the blood oozes down her face. Another man picks up a stone and scraps the side of her head drawing a lateral line of blood. She cries and screams in excruciating pain.
"Since it is a free for all, a teenage spectator from this open playing field, tries his luck, but misses her head completely. Another aims at her and flings it with force. The stone hits its intended target, her forehead.
"She screams and cries loudly for mercy. There is now a gash on her forehead. Blood spurting out, down her eyes, nose, cheeks, mouth and down to the ground. She cries out for mercy but to not avail. The minutes become an hour, between the many misses, scraps, nicks, chips and strikes. Another spectator flings forcefully at her.
"The stone hits the bridge of her nose with another thud. She screems again and again. This time the blood comes down from inside and outside her nose. Probably, her nasal bridge-bone is broken, causing the bleeding from inside her nostrils as well.

"Her vision has completely gone with the blood coating.The next stone hits her again. A piece of flesh pops out. No, its not, oh god, it really can't be her eye-ball. It is so bloody that you can't really make out.
"By this time, blood has covered her entire face and the ground in front of her.She still makes groaning sounds. More time pass.
"Stoning her, continues. Her sounds are less and less audible. Her face has become unrecognisable. Flesh, like mashed meat is her face, but only more bloody, as she now literally has no human face.
"Small strips of flesh, like locks of hair are hanging from her. Her head is now droopping forward. At this stage a hit on her make splashes of blood. She has stopped making a sound for the last two stone pelting.
"Two hours have passed. The Islamic authorities check her neck for pulse. It is still beating but barely, due to the loss of blood.

Further background information: under sharia, in all cases of sexual immorality, e.g alleged adultery, rape or fornication, female testimony is inadmissible - whether that of the woman involved, or of any female who witnessed what happened. Got that? The woman's testimony is not accepted.
This means that if a married woman is raped, say, or an unmarried woman is raped by a married man, and she or her family can't find four male witnesses to say they saw it, and the perp denies it, the perp's word, since he is a man, prevails; while anything the woman says is ...ignored, ruled right out of court.
So it is perfectly possible, under sharia, for a woman to be raped and then, afterward, publicly and sadistically murdered, as per the ghastly description above, for 'adultery'.
by the way, so far as I can see from the article under discussion, we only have Sheikh Hayakallah's word for it that the 'guilty' woman confessed, demanded sharia punishment, etc.
It's *possible* - people thoroughly brainwashed by a totalitarian system like Islam are capable of this level of submission (see the end of George Orwell's 1984..), but - given what we know about the spokespeople of other cruel totalitarian systems, for example, Mao's China or Stalin's Russia, it's just as likely that Sheikh Hayakallah is lying through his teeth and she did nothing of the kind.
For that matter, even if we had a video record of the 'court' proceedings...we sure as hell don't have a record of what might have been said or done to her in some dark shed, *before* the proceedings.
What's to say that, like Chinese or Soviet 'stars' in 'show trials', this woman, Aisho Ibrahim Dhuhulow, was not well rehearsed beforehand in what her judges wanted her to say, in the court?
Think of Anila and Saba in Pakistan, and how little Saba was mercilessly bullied, by her Muslim captors, into publicly lying in court about her age, stating that she was 17, when her official Pakistani birth certificate clearly showed that she was only 13?
Who knows what pressure might have been brought to bear upon this poor woman in Somalia, in order to obtain her 'demand' to be punished according to sharia? Threats against her family, perhaps?

So it took fifty of allah's big, brave, macho muslims to kill one small woman. I guess when people are not allowed any type of recreation or fun in their lives, brutal stonings, amputations, and executions become their only form of entertainment.
It's hard to believe that this type of barbaric insanity is still practiced in the 21st century and even harder to believe that America is teeming with millions of muslim savages who would engage in the same behavior if they could get away with it.
Yes, islam is definitely a superior culture and civilization that can only enrich our own. Reading is nothing compared to seeing. Reading doesn't turn stomachs. Written text can be ignored. A major turning point in the civil rights movement was when the evening news started showing the rest of America video of protesters being beaten or firehosed. Why were no cameras allowed here? Or in the Nigeria incident above? Or the executions/amputations/woman-getting-200-lashes in Suadi Arabia? Why are the same people who want to bring an Islamic Caliphate to the world afraid of showing us previews of what this glorious paradise will be like? If they think it's such a great system, they should want to advertise it.
I see - women wear black while they are alive - and then they are dressed in white during their death. Backwards, as usual.

I have found, in my explorations of the archives here, that if a link is more than a year or so old, it may not necessarily work. Some do, even after three or four years, if to an established web site of long standing; many don't. There doesn't appear to be any particular logic to it. I've found that too. I posted this comment last year. It includes three links which worked at the time, but only one of which (the BBC one) now works. That's why it's best to use reputable, well-established sources for links. Mind you, I'm not sure if the word "reputable" still applies to the BBC.

champ, you forget that muslims believe the new testament is a forgery, originally the koran but then re-written by early christians. So the original story must have been:
