Robert, your message is freedom and vigilance or authoritarianism and bondage.

Today the voters face similar choices: a lying demagogue in Barrie the Narcissist, who would steal from you your freedom, your economic freedom, and says he is giving it to the people who pay no taxes; the other choice is your right to live in freedom and achievement by voting, in this instance for McCain/Palin. Vote for the perfection of submission, as against both the warts and the glory of freedom.

Barrie damns America, he wants to destroy America, he hates America, he hates you and your freedom.

So do the islamists.

He would destroy Israel and the City on the Hill, Jerusalem. If given the opportunity, he would destroy America.

We're on the same page. I think I'll be spewing anti-Barry Soetoro, anti-Joe "Neil Kinnock" Biden invective for the next 51 months, or until the Obamaian Thought Police ship me off for ReEducation And Correction Training (REACT).

To Moslems, incrementalism amounts to death by a thousand cuts. Pork plant workers who can't handle pork, that's a cut. Sharia cabbies who can't transport drunks, another form of cut.

Moslems have a workaday ethic, and that comes in the form of all those cuts.

But Moslem theater has a great sense of drama, too. Just look at banu Qurayza or 9/11. Dramatic events keeps their batting average up; keeps them on the roster to eventually have a cut at a home run.

Let us not forget what kind of HR Osama's standing fatwa specifies.

Even nicer than a blurb from Woolsey would be the assurance from him that both he, and the man for whom he serves as an adviser, John McCain (and others in that entourage, who will still retain power and influence even if McCain loses), not only had read the book, but had thoroughly assimilated the contents and come to grasp, at long last, the fact that terrorism is not the main, or even the most effective, weapon of Jihad. That might, among other things, enable them to more effectively oppose any watering-down of domestic measures taken to monitor all the ways that this Stealth Jihad is conducted.

For example, it would be wonderful if a great many people, and not a handful (a handful among whom some are not clever but far too shrill), noted the insidious attempts, often successful, of Muslim groups and individuals, or those who are willing to do their bidding, out of ignorance or naivete or secret sympathy, to to include a meretricious account of Islam's tenets and the history of Islamic conquest in history textbooks. It would be wonderful if there were greater awareness of the complicity of university administrators, or at least of their extraordinary negligence, in remaining unconcerned or unaware of how insidious has been the steady takeover of certain departments, having to do with Islam and the Middle East (search, at this site, for "MESA Nostra"), not by scholars of Islam, but by apologists for Islam and for the agenda shared by Muslims behaving, with varying degrees of virulence and detectability by the outside, to promote the Islamic agenda, or at the very least to meretriciously attempt to misrepresent the texts and tenets of Islam. And along with who take their Islam to heart, or who are , or are non-Muslim collaborators for other reasons. Along with the phenomenon of the "islamochristians" (that is, Christians from Muslim lands, but they are almost all Arabs, for the Arab identity supports and reinforces Islam, while those Christians who come from non-Arab lands, such as Pakistan and Indonesia, once they slough off Islam, also slough off any need or desire to promote, for example, the Jihad ageainst Israel or other Islamic causes), these collaborators include those who, when on a Spiritual Search found Islam -- or "Sufism"
as they assumed it to be so "peaceful" (love poetry of Rumi, that sort of thing) just the ticket, or those who find their own country or the Western world so distasteful as to mistakenly take up the cause of Islam, not realizing that Islam is not a threat to the West, but a threat to All the Rest -- to Buddhists, to Hindus, to everyone who is non-Muslim.

Yes, would that the busy men, such as Woolsey, would read and re-read such books. Would that Obama himself, for he will either be the next President or be the leading Democratic contender four years hence, would start to read, intelligently, around and about the subject of Islam, and not be naive or foolish enough to take up with the armstrongs and espositos, but start, say, with Ibn Warraq's "Why I Am Not A Muslim" and then proceed to other texts, including those of the putatively, Homeric-epithetically "right-wing" (his books are nothing of the kind, of course) presentations by Robert Spencer in a series of lucid guides for the perplexed as to what is contained in the Islamic texts -- that is, the Qur'an, the Hadith, the Sira -- and what, furthermore, Muslim commentators and scholars have written, and what, the evidence over 1350 years overwhelmingly suggests, those texts have been taken by Believers immutably to mean.

I'm looking forward to reading this book. I have been convinced for a long time that stealth jihad exists, and is in action. The book will hopefully provide details that I may be unfamiliar with...

Seriously, I meant it when I wrote that it's reassuring to know that people in high places are in this with us. It just kind of goes without saying that Stealth Jihad, like all your books, will be condemned by those who didn't read it and praised by all who did.
