MORIGAON: The priest of an ancient temple, Goranga, in central Assam's Morigaon district received three threat calls that the place of worship would be blown up by bombs, said a top district police official on Monday.The priest of the Ram and Krishna temple near Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary received three calls on Sunday night from a mobile phone that Goranga would be blown up by bombing, district superintendent of police Madan Chetia told.
The identity of the caller was yet to be ascertained and the service provider of the mobile number, Airtel, has been asked to provide the details of the phone number's owner, Chetia said.
Meanwhile, security arrangements around the temple has been tightened in view of the threat calls, he added.
In view of the recent SMS to a private television news channel by Islamic Security Force-Indian Mujahideen claiming responsibility for the Thursday serial blasts in the state, the police was taking Sunday's threat calls with utmost seriousness, he said.
For all the anonymity of the caller, all things considered, you know the "I" word had to come up sooner or later.
The Islamic way. Blow up everything that is not Islamic but also blow up things between the Shia and Sunnis. Violence pervades the Islamic mind. Criminality to the core. Thousands of temples destroyed and robbed. Churches destroyed, synagogues destroyed, Buddhist monasteries destroyed, while in the west more and more mosques are being built.
Assam is the Indian state where, the other day, nearly 80 people were killed, and hundreds wounded, by Muslim terrorists (according to the Muslim terrorists themselves). There are now many more Muslims in Assam because the State of Assam (the states are of much greater importance in India than is understood in the outside world) allowed in hundreds of thousands, or perhaps millions, of Muslims fleeing chaos, violence, poverty, and misrule in Bangladesh. They have brought with them, however, the very Islam that explains so much of that chos, violence, poverty, and misrule, and now seek to impose it on those who gave them refuge. And among the first of their victims have been the real indigenes, the Bodo tribe, whose lands they have seized, and the Bodo have, in turn, finally goaded -- as the prefabricated phrase has it -- beyond all endurance, have counter-attacked.

Sounds like another Lebanon deal.
There's going to be another huge uprising in which thousands get killed in India pretty soon. It just happens every few years or so as the Muslims try to take over small pockets. Law enforcement are dhimmis most of the time and treat Muslims with almost the same degree of leniency as European law enforcement, except that, given the history of India, they have so much pent-up rage that it all comes out during the riots. That's how Hindus behave toward Islam generally. They're demure and try to paint themselves as as 'tolerant' of evil, but then, when really pressed on the issue or faced with news like this, they let loose how they really feel about Muslims.
Well press harder you Islamic morons so the Hindus of india really start to rebel. There will be a bitter reaction if the present killings continue. Law enforcement agencies are not given free hand to deal with the problem by the politicians. If the present Islamic terror continues it would not be long before Hindus take up arms.
This is an interesting read about how moslems took over Kashmir valley and how non- muslims are treated under moslem majority rule. The same kind of situation may arise in Assam.

If we could somehow quarantine all Muslims to one place, they would bomb and kill each other and save everyone else a lot of trouble.

Right on Hugh! This is what Islam does everywhere. They have taken this mindset to Britain and see the results there. They are economically at the bottom rung of British society and are responsible for so much violence there. Of course, they blame the Brits for discrimination. However, Hindus and Sikhs have faced the same "discrimination" in UK, yet they have prospered and many have become very successful businessmen. I don't understand their obsessive need to convert every society into a failed Islamic society.
I admit, to my and other Hindus' shame, that we are slow to react. But when the pent up anger and frustration against the dhimmi authorities erupts, you will get another Gujarat like retaliation.
In our history, we have given shelter to many faiths: Jews, Zorashtrians (from Iran), Tibetan Buddhists, and so on. We have never had problems with these people. In fact, Jews have been in India for more than 2000 years, yet there is not a single case of persecution against the Jews. It is only with Islam that we have had problems. Does that say something about Muslims? You bet, it does. There can be no peace with Islam anywhere, as you can see wherever the slimes are.

Two examples of descendants of those who had found refuge, from Muslim persecution -- the Jews and the Zoroastrians -- are General J. F. R. Jacobs, and General Sam Manekshaw. Jacobs is Jewish, the descendant of Baghdadi Jews (like all those Kadoories and Sassoons that made their way even to Hong Kong and Shanghai), Manekshaw a Parsee (like the Tatas, or Zubin Mehta), which is the name given to the Zoroastrians who fled Persia and the persecutions by Muslims.
Both were great generals, and both are considered heroes in the Indian war against the Pakistani army in 1971, and kept it from slaughtering even more Bangladeshis, a war that resulted in an independent Bangladesh.
IndianTiger, I wish you posted in here more often. The way the Gujarati riots were portayed in the media was just like the Serbian/Bosnian thing. It's disgusting. I hope that blogs like JihadWatch would check that misrepresentation in the MSM the next time around. And I hope you guys push the Muslims into Pakistan and Bangladesh, just like they pushed out all the Hindus and Sikhs. It's true what you say about Indian pluralism, if understated. Indians are incredibly tolerant people, and yet Muslims can never nehave themselves. I wish India would stop appeasing them. India serves as the best example of how ineffective appeaseent is.

Once again, in awe of your knowledge about the sub-continent. Few people can point to Assam on a map and even fewer know what a Zoroastrian is (Parsee) and even fewer know Sam Manekshaw or the 1971 War of Liberation.
2.5 million Hindus were slaughtered by the Pakistani army and today Hindus are third class citizens in that newly formed country we spilled blood for.
How disgusting.
