Pious hoaxer?
Safia Jilani Update: she is charged with fabricating a hate crime in which a man hit her on the head and scrawled a hate message against Muslims on a nearby bathroom mirror. The entire campus united behind her; Muslim students were offered escorts to and from classes; and all of Elmhurst College was afroth with righteous indignation against the haters. The only problem is that it looks as if Safia Jilani made it all up -- and now the poor thing is "in treatment." It wouldn't be surprising if she suddenly came down with a mental illness, a la Aafia Siddiqui.

A Muslim student who allegedly made a false claim that a masked man attacked her after he wrote anti- Islamic slurs in a women's restroom at Elmhurst College pleaded not guilty Monday to a charge of disorderly conduct. Safia Jilani, 19, made no public comment.Outside the DuPage County courtroom, her attorney, Terry Ekl, said "she is in treatment, and I hope the public wouldn't judge her until all the facts are known."
He declined to specify the type of treatment.
But I'm sure he'll think of something.

Her fabricated hate crime is itself a hate crime against non-Muslims. That is her underlying intent, or at least of those who put her up to it--hatred of non-Muslim "kaffir."

Certainly some people who commit crimes do so because they are mentally ill. But why does it seem that only mentally ill Muslims commit crimes against their political and religious enemies and get away with it?

But the media jumps all over a chance to assail western Christians if they don't "turn the other cheek." Same phenomena happens in Israel and India. There can be a hundred faceless Muslim suicide murders celebrated by Malestinians, but one Jewish terrorist condemned by Jews? His name is remembered forever. There is a lot of pandering to Muslims in India by Hindu politicians, with the end effect of discriminating against the majority Hindus to cater to the regressive, malignant demands of a beligerent minority.

As a native Chicagoan, I heard the story on local newscasts and immediately thought the timing was suspicious. She faked the attack and graffiti during the same week as Islamo Fascism Awareness Weeks were happening on campuses around the USA. I thought, at first, she might be part of a concerted Muslim student effort to draw any slight media attention away from IFA Week onto "poor muslim students" week.
Now, I wonder if her motivation could not be of a more personal nature. Perhaps she may have had some sort of tryst, hook up, whatever and, terrified that she would be found out, faked this. She might even have had consensual sex, missed a period and thought "If I am pregnant, I am dead. Better find a way out." It is just a theory but may explain her actions IF indeed she acted alone without any prompting from an organized Muslim student society.

My concern is not so much for, Safia Jilani – a willing supplicant to the spiritual bondage that is Islam, but for the so called ‘free thinkers’ of academia that are so easily worked up into medieval, pitchfork waving, crazed mobs enslaved by such multi-cultural inspired hoaxes. Scholars of old must surely be rolling in their crypts!

Muslims stick to their own kind, even if there are only 30 of them on campus. The MSA/U has a vigilante way of enforcing this through shame. They also have activities all week so that they don't really have time to mingle with infidels. This is intentional. They even live together, even if that means being 40 years old and living in student housing for pedophiles with one's children. All of them. Always. Plus, she's probably "married," i.e., long since been pimped into incestuous sharia sex slavery. It's pretty rare that a Muslima makes it to college without being away to a cousin. Their parets do not allow it. Ever. Sometimes the guys wait until 20, but never the girls. It may have been marital issues, though.
Descendantofacrusader, you would be astounded how quickly those same academics readily admit as many Mohammed Attas without the legitimacy of a German education as they can scrounge up, then dissimulate on their behalf and try to sweep it under the rug when they break the law and other people's civil and human rights, and how, in some cases, they even incite this kind of behavior and worse. And it's not just academics. It's pervasive among university staff. Even the Counseling and Psychological Services pulled their crap with me when I went in to be treated for PTSD. They were cool the first week, but the next week, after I told the shrink about everything, he cancelled on me with 30 minutes notice (I missed the call, since I was busy vomiting, as I always do before I go to campus), they couldn't get me in for 3 weeks, and they threw away ("lost") all my paperwork. But I'm Jewish, so...
Mr. Terry Ekl : The basic facts are know and it's perfectly fine for the public to make judgments about her actions and more importantly the actions of all the authorities involved. She probly isn't going to suffer even half the 'indignation' that she stirred up against the 'hating' boogeymen, and everyone all too well knows who they are. But false bullshit leftist accusations is a part of life for any red blooded American with a set of balls left.
If whenever you read of any "hate crimes" such as this (i.e., ones in which no bones are broken, no facial features are disfigured by acid, no permanent injuries inflicted), you consistently bet that it will turn out to be a hoax, you'll make a lot of money in the long run.
