Whose radicalization began in Britain. What a relief for "friend-and-ally" Pakistani government, who will most likely, as is custom, summon and scold the US ambassador. "British terror mastermind Rashid Rauf 'killed in US missile strike,'" by Andrew Alderson for the Telegraph, November 22:

A US drone targeted the home in the village of Alikhel, part of a district known as a stronghold for al-Qaeda and the Taliban.
"The transatlantic bombing plot alleged mastermind Rashid Rauf was killed along with an Egyptian al-Qaeda operative in the US missile strike in North Waziristan," a senior Pakistani security official said.
Rauf, who has been on the run after escaping from a Pakistani jail nearly a year ago, was said to have played a key role in a liquid bomb plot allegedly targeting transatlantic airliners in 2006.
Rauf, a British national who used to live in Birmingham, escaped from Pakistani authorities after appearing before a judge in an Islamabad court in December last year. At the time, he could have faced extradition to Britain within weeks.
After the escape, Khalid Pervez, a city police official, said that Rauf managed to open his handcuffs and evade police guards taking him back to Adiala prison in the nearby city of Rawalpindi.
After the escape, 12 policemen were questioned and two had been accused of assisting the escape or negligence. Despite a huge manhunt, he was never recaptured.
Rauf was arrested in Pakistan in August 2006, after a tip-off from British intelligence, over alleged attempts to blow up 10 transatlantic jets.News of the liquid bomb plot paralysed global air travel, prompting authorities to implement stringent security measures at airports around the world.
Police believe that the plan was for different passengers to carry peroxide-based liquid explosive in drinks containers and detonators disguised as electronic devices and combine them on board.
The arrests sparked a security alert and mass flight cancellations as well as restrictions on carry-on luggage.
A dual citizen of Britain and Pakistan, Rauf was married to a relative of Maulana Masood Azhar, the head and founder of Jaish-e-Mohammed, an Islamist militant group in Pakistan that has been linked to al-Qaeda. Azhar has lived in Bahawalpur, a city in eastern Pakistan where Rauf had also settled.
A senior Pakistani official called Rauf "an al-Qaeda operative with linkages in Afghanistan".
Rauf is understood to have left Birmingham following the stabbing to death of his uncle, Mohammed Saeed, 54, near his home in Alum Rock in April 2002.
The British government (and the bbc)prefer to call him a "militant" not a terrorist and much less an "islamic" terrorist.
That way we can all sleep peacefully.
It appears our side has worked out the kinks in operating its fleet of drones and is becoming rather proficient in their use. And, yes, there will be a diplomatic protest by Pakistan. Then we'll do it again, and they'll protest again. And the pas des deux will continue...

and how can Britain allow dual citizenship with a country that it has no extradition agreement with?
Let them protest all they want. They are powerless to confront islamofacists like this scum, inside their own country. The only thing we should continue to give the paks is more of this type of "aid and comfort to the enemy." For they are our sworn enemy and this is what needs to get out. Of course we count on comrade Obama to try and stop this policy of inhumane attacks of those that want all of us dead or converted. He will talk to them and make a deal with them, and that is one talk and deal none of us need, except the koolaid drinkers of the liberalista left that is ruining our country from the inside out. Right in lock step with the stealth jihad that is taking place right under our collective noses!

Debauchery is in the eye of the beholder. For some, an X rated movie is worse than murdering people at random in a plane or subway. They probably harbor some deep self-hatred about their own sexuality and self-image that is projected outward.
It reminds me of someone I once knew who was very misanthropic, always led a cloistered life, was aloof and disdainful. He constantly grumbled about racism and about how racist Americans are.
Eventually, I realized that he hated other people for the misanthropic qualities that he detested in himself, and that leftist rigamarole gave him a rationale for his feelings.
And isn't that what any ideology can do, especially Islam, with its violent hatred of unbelievers? For the emotionally distressed, it's a sick way to deal with their own conflicts, while feeling morally superior in doing so.
Pious Muslims - and this man has been described as a pious Muslim - CANNOT be loyal to anything except Islam, and the Ummah.

Ibn Ishaq's Life of Mohammed - “Muslims are one ummah (community) to the exclusion of all men. Believers are friends of one another to the exclusion of all outsiders.”
Dual citizenship is nonsensical in such cases.
This man's espousal of jihad is completely predictable. Of course he felt no loyalty whatever to the Infidel state in which he grew up.
He should not have had British citizenship in the first place.
The same fact - that Muslims are supposed to be loyal ONLY to fellow Muslims, a loyalty that trumps everything else - suggests to me that the Pakistani authorities, Muslims all, let him escape.
There is no way they would normally rat out a fellow Muslim to an Infidel state - they might pretend to do so, put up a big show of arresting him, then of chasing him when (accidentally on purpose) he 'escapes' - but they can't really cooperate.
(There is one possible exception to this rule: if a Muslim so dreadfully annoys his ever-lovin' brothers, that they decide to use the Infidels as a catspaw to get rid of him, thus achieving two ends - 1. they get rid of a nuisance or a rival, while 2. still being able, in future, to use his death or imprisonment at Infidel hands as Proof! Proof! that Wicked Infidels Persecute Poor Innocent Muslims).
There should be no such thing as "dual citizen". Just as no man can serve two masters, neither can he pledge his loyalty equally to two countries. One must give way. One will always have priority.

Hey guys, he can't help his nose. (There are probably plenty of Christians, Jews, atheists and other folks running around the world, with noses just as comically big...or even bigger. I'm not unendowed in the nose department myself, actually).
His nose was the least offensive thing about him. If it was the Islamic fanatic beard, or the zebibah bruise from banging the forehead too hard too often on the prayer mat, that would be a different matter...but noses (unless you're rich enough to pay a plastic surgeon) are what you're born with.
Our criticism and mockery should be levelled not at his looks but at his actions.
It is on the basis of his actions that I say, 'good riddance'.
