Settling for a spitball

I'll settle for twenty bombs per rocket fired. A disproportionate response is more than required. The sword is mightier than the pen of an appeasing pipsqueak peacenik Peres.

Seriously. They ned to send a message to HAMAS and Hezbollah that they won't take any more crap. A dozen Daisy Cutters for every rocket.

My thinking is, for every pali rocket that lands in an Israeli town, a pali village ceases to exist. Same in Pakistan, if an attack on forces in Afghanistan comes from a paki village, said village gets leveled.

The reason Americans are arrogant is because we are the greatest nation in history, and we have the power to prove it.

I don't understand this obsession with having the rest of the world like us. Anyone that doesn't like us doesn't get anything from us. It should be as simple as that. Giving foreign aid to people that don't like us isn't going to make them like us, it's just going to make them ask for more.

Haram! It is haram to throw spitballs at Muslims! You dhimmis have to behave!

The good Jewish citizens of Sderot and of the Negev generally might like to watch the film 'October Sky', or read the (factual) book on which it is based, 'Rocket Boys', and draw their own conclusions.

You know what bothers me about this? It is that Israel is being bullied, by the Muslims and by the rest of the world, into the classic dhimmi role.

Dhimmis were NOT permitted to defend themselves, either verbally or physically, in any way at all, against attack from Muslims, NO MATTER HOW AWFUL that attack was.

They had to totally not react to everything from being shoved into the gutter, spat on, kicked, slapped by Muslim THUGS, in daily life, in the streets of Istanbul or Jerusalem or wherever;

they had to put up with Muslims being free to barge into their houses or synagogues or churches and take *anything* they [the Muslims] pleased, up to and including rape of dhimmi women and kidnapping of dhimmi children;

essentially, dhimmis (whether Jews, Christians, Zoroastrians, or Hindus) were totally dehumanised milch cows, chew toys and punching bags, designated Prey, grudgingly allowed to survive so the Muslims could have someone to rip off and feel superior to;

they could be treated as THINGS by the thrice-accursed supremacist Muslims

and if they dared to react - if they let out the tiniest squeak of protest or complaint, if they hit back, if they *dared* to take up arms (they were NOT PERMITTED to own or bear arms) or if they tried to ask for help from non-Muslim outsiders, then they were PUNISHED by massive collective punishment against their entire community, up to and including gang rapes and mass murder of thousands of defenceless people.

That's why I hate, hate, hate the ideology of Islam. The system of dhimmitude is one of the ugliest and cruellest systems of legalised, sacralised abuse of human beings that any group of humans has ever invented and practised, anywhere, ever.

And that's in addition to slavery. Both of these are still in practice wherever Islam reigns, and yet, people cow-tow (sp?) to these barbarians. I will never understand Jewish pacifism, and I'm Jewish. I'm a Bush Doctrine Jew, I guess: shock and awe, with us or against us, pre-emptive strike. You know, principle. The best thing about being Jewish is that there is no Jewish equivalent of "turn the other cheek," and yet, Israelis are the world's biggest cheek-turners even though they're not in a position to be.

Also, WalterC, I agree that we shouldn't care who likes us and that those who don't like us should get nothing but non-recognition. Israel knows this better than anyone, but then they give tsunami detectors to Indonesia, even though 300 million Indonesians dying in another tsunami would be in their best interest, and in the best interest of the rest of the Free World. Why? It's ridiculous.
